Beautiful video... The 190E was probably one of the most important MB cars of all times. Bruno Sacco, at least, thought it was his most important design due to the impact it made in the company. Now please do one of the W202, the successor, which improves on the W201 in many ways and is arguably one of the last "classic" benzes.
I own my 190E more than 12 yeras, mileage exceeded 500K km when i broke engine and transmission but it was partly my fault, now he has new units and whole car ges a new life with cossie-look restomod. Love him and cant leave, cant wait get back to road. The only car that brigs pleasure from driving. Thanks Patina for saving such a hidden gems from Benz world. RIP Bruno
Great video! I am lucky enough to currently own 2, a 92 jdm 2.5D 722.4 and an 86 2.3-16 5spd. The w201 is truly an amazing story and a real piece of automotive history.
@@PatinaCollective I swear I’m gonna make it to the museum soon! Life keeps putting speed bumps in my way but I will make hajj to your Mercedes mecca soon!

It is important to give people their flowers while they are still alive. I hope Bruno Sacco was aware of The Patina Collective before his passing. Sleep in peace maestro
Bruno Sacco, thank you for all you have contributed to us and the car world. Iconic designs and meticulous standards. I am proud to own a Sacco masterpiece. You will be missed, but never forgotten. Rest Heavenly 🙏🏼
EXCELLENCE once again from them Patina kids! I absolutely LOVED my W201, and just felt so fly driving it! Even after two (2!) W140s, a W124, a W208, and a W221, there is nothing quite like a well sorted W201! Salute the Patina Boys!

Thank you so much of you make a history of the Mercedes 190E and also did you know that I loved the 190E so very much and because only one reason why I love the Mercedes 190E is because a motorsport history. And also the only two reason why I love the 190E first the engine was tuned powered by british motorsport engineering name Cosworth and second the 190E was racing the DTM 1980s and 1990s and racing against other german race cars like Audi v8 quattro and BMW E30 M3 and Mercedes win the DTM championship in 1992.And last the 190E Evolution 2 is the rival of a BMW E30 M3 two of them are the german legend rivals at the race track. R.I.P Bruno Sacco thank you for creating a Mercedes 190E ♥️ 🕊
I was fortunate enough to find a 1993 190e with 116k miles, owner couldn't get it to run right but I found the eha was leaking so runs good now, no rust too. Love that car
Great video. One thing tho, the engine range was from 1.8 l to 2.6 l. M102 1.8, 2.0, 2.3, 2.3-16v and 2.5-16v. M103 2.6. And the diesel engines OM601 2.0 and 2,2. OM602 2.5 non turbo and 2.5 turbo. Amg made a M103 3.2. I think I have owned 10 or so w201. Miss my Avantgarde Rosso the most, only a 1.8 but man what a color.
My second car was a C124 in azurite blue with cream leather. I always wanted the cabrio… 18 years later I bought a 1997 A124 cabrio- that was yesterday morning and in the same colours. Stopped for a rest break half way driving it home and read the news he had died. So the second leg of the journey was mixed emotions!
This video is excellent - and I don’t use the word lightly. It’s non stop vintage footage which you seldom see now. None of that filling time slowly panning across a photograph. The best or nothing… !
