FAQ's
Q: Its asking for a Product Key.
A: With newer computers, the product key should be pulled from the motherboard automatically during install. However, if this does not happen, you will need to enter it manually. Go to your File Explorer. Then, right click on This PC and select Properties. You should see there if Windows is activated and also where to click to enter the product key. The product key should be on a sticker under the computer or under the battery for laptops.
Q: What key are you hitting?
A: F12 for most Lenovos but some models will use different keys so try others if needed. Наука

IT WORKED!!! I'm so glad I found your channel, I'm never gonna look anywhere else for answers about computers from now on. Thank you 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 (I solved the bootloot issue and have been able to reinstall windows 10, I plan on fully updating the PC and downloading Windows 11 - not necessarily in that order, I'll watch the tutorial! - but I'm just so relieved this pc is finally turning on).

Hi, maybe I didn't word it correctly. Do I have to purchase a preinstalled Windows 10 USB port flash drive in order to install windows instead of a blank USB flash drive to back up my files?
Jamin: Thanks for these videos . Question - I got to 2:35 in this video, chose the USB option on the Boot Menu screen, but then the screen went right back to the restart loop/updating error. There was no Windows screen, etc. What does this mean? Thanks!
I have the same question too. What does it mean?
My Lenovo is stuck in a boot loop. I've tried updating the date and time and switching from UEFI to Legacy, and the Lenovo diagnostics come back clean so I don't hink it's a hard drive issue. The computer was working just fine before this happened. I created a Windows 10 install media on a USB following one of your other videos, but here when I select "upgrade" (I want to keep my files), I get a "compatibility report." It says, "The upgrade option isn't available if you start your computer using Windows installation media. If a copy of Windows is already installed on this computer and you want to upgrade, remove the installation media and restart your computer. After Windows has started normally, insert the installation media and run Windows Setup." But I can't start Windows normally, so what do I do?
Thats telling you that the 'Keep Files' option is not available. The OS is too messed up. So you will have to install new and erase everything, or take the computer to a repair shop to have them try and get your DATA off before you can install Windows new if you dont want to lose anything :(
I have an old Idea pad which got so slow that I decided to try a factory reboot to get rid of all the bugs it may have gathered over the years. I could not get it to start back up after the reboot. Following your directions for upgrading to windows 10 and everything went smooth until the screen "Where do you want to install Windows? The list shows a single line (as opposed to multiple partitions) with 0 MB total size and 0 MB free space. Active links include "refresh" which does not lead anywhere, and "load driver" which asks me to install device driver, which I do not have. I went to the Lenovo support site but was not able to locate anything helpful. Any suggestions would be appreciated, but at this point it appears my laptop is at "end of its life." Regardless of whether you can offer any advice, thank you for this very helpful channel. Now that I have found your channel, I'm sure I will find lots of useful information!
