Newbie to playing bass , 18 months in, so it's easy for me to get frustrated with my playing at this early stage but when I hear and see Marcus Miller play, I get renew interest instantly. Take notes, the man is one of greatest if not the greatest bass player on the planet. Purchased my first MM bass yesterday, a V7 5 string. It arrives tomorrow. Can't wait to feel it in my hands and can't wait to go see MM when he is close to my location.
Awesome jam. And what nice sounding, and looking bass guitars. I'm a new learner of the bass, and yesterday i ordered me a new Sire V5. But man, if i go somewhere with my play after a few years, i want a V10. They looked like a jewel of an instrument.
Such sick basses. I want a sire pj I think. I like playing everything from funk to death metal. Either the pj or a white sire jazz bass. Heeeell yeah dude.
We had a good chat in the shop when I bought my v9 Lee,but sitting next to Marcus you looked totally gassed mate, but to be honest, who wouldn't be,nice vibe on a cool groove with the groove daddy himself....
Nice, I love all the stuff you get to see and hear on youtube. I recently bought a Sire V7 vintage 5. I love this bass. I have a bunch of really great J basses all of them more expensive than the V8, but I think I can sell most of them now LOL
Very nice playing Lee!!!! I can't get enough of Marcus!!! My wife and I just got back from the 2023 Smooth Jazz Cruise and Marcus was INCREDIBLE!!!! He played his Fender signature bass along with his Sire 4 and 5 strings basses!!! He did some sight-reading while playing his Sire V7 5 with Michael McDonald in a supporting role with no soloing. Very cool!!!
Nice Sire basses, good clean pickups because it's somewhat better than some Fender bass models. I like the clean sound of them on my Sire P7 bass. It sounds real nice and pristine.
Totally new pickups, always something new I like the Sires I also like Squiers and Fenders too. MTD bass is good, to me it's the player not the instrument. Marcus Miller is a superb player, that's why even the cheapest shit will sound good.
Lee you are scaring Marcus... Calm down :) I had a friend like you years ago and he would get up in our living room are start frantically telling us about the demon seeds that tried to run him off the road on his way home from work on the I10 bridge. I say this with love...
Cool!...probably every bass played by Marcus will sound great😉...yet, has the V10 really more to offer soundwise than a beautiful look?...I assume the Vintage V7 + V9 2nd Gen still have the best 70's Sound!...but I could be wrong, tell me?
Although I customized my P7 with a new bridge and tuners (wanted black on a white bass, and love hipshot hardware) that 18v preamp/eq is utterly PHENOMENAL! Might replace the pickups, but to my specific tatstes of tonality... Buy a Sire Bass! Out-Fu%*in'-standing instruments!
Both Marcus and the other guy have large hands. And since these basses are patterned after the Fender Jazz bass they probably have narrow spacing at the nut also.
The Sire pickups blow away Fender and most of the aftermarket giants. The pots and input on my P5 sucked but when replaced by quality aftermarket stuff the bass sounds amazing. The pickups have the girth and familiar sound of the 62 Classic by Fender but with a depth of clarity or hi-fi'ish sound. Sire should sell their pickups aftermarket.
Hey sire !!! Do somthing to battery cover !!! recently I bought v10 but returned it cuz the cheesy lame battery cover !!! before I bought ,as I knew, in 2nd gen sire upgraded the cover which used to be blamed in 1st gen, but delivered v10 to me had the lame one. clerk told me "It's 3rd gen" wtf !!! anything which has over 1K bucks should't have that kinda lame palstic cover !!!
My Sire v10 DX is 10 months old and has already given me some issues. Sweetwater and Sire have delayed in real compensation. These instruments are overpriced for the quality. Never again will I do business with either company.
And at the end Marcus says “Nice job man”. What a great compliment from a living legend!
Lee is awesome the way he can jam alongside with Marcus one of the greatest!
Dude for you to come in and jam with Mr. Miller, and for him to give you room to trade rhythm and lead, that was beautiful.
Marcus playing bass is medicine to my ears. And he doesn't age ,awesome!

This is only guy that can slap a ballad
Miller just keeps holding the groove like the genuine bass player he is!
Marcus: *farts*
the other guy: YEES, Right!
))
Well... when you're talking to Mr. Miller, what can you do? Either way you will look stupid...
Except starting to jam with him showing a great talent and self confidence one second later
what's he supposed to do? Just sit there with a straight face? I doubt you'd be a better host.
@@AwesomeMan2696 definitely right you are. But anyway it looked funny
This was a great jam! Bravo to Andertons guy for hanging tight with the King!
Mr. Miller looks same after since 1980.
Truth
Black don’t crack.
Marcus Miller is a newly evolved species of Vampire. He feeds only off funky grooves
Guy is grooving so hard God gave him some more time on Earth
God be like : "what else could I do fml"

Great jam session, both guys sound great, nice creativity !
I would love to own that Sire V10 ! 😊

This was beautiful!!!!💜🐺

What's a Legend, great to see MM doing well, he's instruments are just outstanding
Nice playing! Lee is a beast!
I don’t know the other guy .. but I do like his hat !

Don't know the other guy, but he's really good
He's Lee from Andertons Music in UK
This is why we love bass! 👈🏼
One thing I will say about Marcus Miller he is a GROOVE machine.
He comes across as so genuine and humble for being a literal god. Some heros wear pork pie hats instead of capes 👏
Nice Sire basses, good clean pickups because it's somewhat better than some Fender bass models. I like the clean sound of them on my Sire P7 bass. It sounds real nice and pristine.
Yeah this is my next bass purchase for sure
That was awesome! I love my v7 4. I'm going to get a 5 maple cap 👍
2:24 lol they cut off his mic when Marcus started playing
clearly, they wanna hear Marcus play
@@AwesomeMan2696 I don't blame them but it's still super funny
Great weapon+ Great soldier
MAN Love these basses, maybe someday 😎
Amazing demo.
Sweet bass
Bass Epic!

“It’s a nice sound right”. Lol yes Marcus it is very nice, but you could play a shoe string and we would watch with anticipation
Esto es tocar el cielo 😢

This guy was geeking out too much.
Totally, hehe!
Can't really blame him, personally. I would love to sit down and talk with MM about any subject.
@@darkySp Agree! But this guy was too eager i think.
Can't blame him. Only a natural reaction to sharing the space with a legend. Lee himself is a fantastic bass player.
A chance to play with Marcus Miller? Pfffft I love Marcus Miller
Pffff...amazing!

I agree
The neck should be works better rolled edges and it's roasted flamed maple
@@kylemaneage468 I see...I heard a Roasted Maple neck gives more stability😉
Sire Marcus Miller Sire V10 vz V10dx 5-String Bass?? What is the real difference???
I think this version of V10 better than the new version of v10 dx
Lee is in Heaven with The Master!
What’s that pedal Marcus Miller is using?
Lee is 🌟 star-struck meeting Marcus Miller! Awesome.
So nice
Lee! I love that riff can you tell how to find it? So i can learn it thanks

please what the name the other guy with white t.shirt?
Lee
Totally new pickups take it from Marcus Miller himself, that's the secret to Sire basses.
String spacing looks tight
It's 19mm standard
Both Marcus and the other guy have large hands. And since these basses are patterned after the Fender Jazz bass they probably have narrow spacing at the nut also.
Is it different string spacing between vintage and standard v7
The Sire pickups blow away Fender and most of the aftermarket giants. The pots and input on my P5 sucked but when replaced by quality aftermarket stuff the bass sounds amazing. The pickups have the girth and familiar sound of the 62 Classic by Fender but with a depth of clarity or hi-fi'ish sound.

Démo assez minimaliste........ vu le niveau du maître

Dude in white shirt needs to stop talking over people and stop talk so damn fast; we are humans!!!! Love MM!
Y el wero quien es xd
It's a shame, subtitling in French is completely incomprehensible ....
I feel you!
But in may case it's because I can't understand French 😂
Kuripot.
Guy on the left is annoying
Fanboying way too hard.
Why?? He's obviously enjoying playing with Marcus. What's wrong about this?
I disagree, this is his channel. Marcus is the guest, he's been a fun and exciting host.
Marcus Miller spielt gefühlte 20 Minuten die selben 4 Akkorde und der andere Held schafft es nur bis 3. So PEINLICH DER TYP EY!!!!! 🤣😂🤣
