Parts are the same as FTX models. Parts are readily available, some in the states and a lot in China. I'm also not going to compete in events, so I don't want portals. I know 4-link isn't stock, but it looks better than portals for scale effect. Plus, I'm a jeep fanboy, and as ugly as that front is, I've seen some nice mods to improve the looks. Thanks for the review, and the bit at 12:29(trail running speed), is what convinced me to get this one. Can anyone say "catch air?" Another great informative video, Thanks. I have been looking at the RGT/GMade/TRX4 for a rig for my daughter [she is 6, so for me], the body looks like the Gmade Sawback with a roll cage added. My Jeep started out as an EARLY RGT RS4. It had shocks mounted inside of the frame! The first thing I did was add the Jeep hardbody and it was too heavy, leading to metal axles and shocks, links to adjust the wheelbase, etc. (And a GCM transmission) I'm about $800 in!
I agree, that front end terrible. I do like the rest of the body. But I can buy now a Redcat Gen 8 Pak chassis 149.00. And do the Upgrades right from the beginning. 1060, Amazon servo, Apex motor, radio link receiver, and a body. So for about 150.00 additional hey I got a way better truck than that. It's not even that cheap. You can get brand name models for the same price. The Gen7 Sport, Gen8, or Element Trailwalker are good budget options, especially on sale at your LHS. Plus Banggood is known for poor customer service and TOS. They treat RUclipsrs like Angels, but they don't give a flying truck about paying customers beyond the point of sale. Your LHS will have your back, plus replacement parts and upgrades. It's worth the extra $$ just to avoid Chinese ecommerce sites.
These RGT trucks are not worth buying. You would be far better off buying the Redcat Gen8 or even a Gen7 Pro. Do not buy anything that has no part support or aftermarket, it just becomes a throw away. Out of the box the Gen8 will destroy that RGT, carefully spend $100 on each truck to upgrade it and there is no comparison. You will end up with a Gen8 that is awesome, and an RGT that has some usable parts for you Redcat Gen8 PACK build.
We have bought 2 FTX, that have the same base structure (I think). It has been a NIGHTMARE !! Try to see how are inside the differential lock: all plastic... we have broken ALL in a few hours of job ! As we replaced with metal one...we broke the transmission axle of one wheel... At the end it has been the MOST EXPENSIVE, MOST BROKEN vehicle among 20 we have in our group !! As last comment, the short wheelbase gives a lot of problems in most significant obstacles !! In our opinion NEVER BUY IT ! If you have few money...the best is REELY FREE MEN...try it...is a real good Crawler with good perfomance out of the box.
If you say yes it’s worth it, you concede that yes, most people don’t need to spend a lot of money. This isn’t because of you reviews but rather 99.9% of buyers don’t actually compete in any way you do. What I have found is most buyers don’t even have rocks of any relatability to your testing grounds. The reality is that everything on this channel, that relates to the technical observations, do not apply to 99.5% of the viewers. It’s not your fault that viewers live where these conditions do not exist. The issue lies in the fact that you know, very well that the majority of buyers, will not and can not benefit from the technical or mechanical differences in products.
I bought a Vaterra Acender-s for $279.. From the looks of this, the Vaterra is a much better crawler for only $10 more.. I would say this would be decent if it was $100 less but it's too close in price to much better crawlers that I wouldn't even consider it.
the reason they didn’t do rear fender must be cuz old cj didnt have big over fender they were kind of like that the front is awful though they could of atleast try a bit lmao
I bought an RGT 1/10 scale Early Bronco less than a year ago. During second battery the front rt axle broke at the end where it was machined. “defective clean break!” I had to contact RGT in China for parts. They wouldn’t warrantee it. I had to buy a new axle from China. I brazed it then started to drive it again. On 4th or 5th battery the rear plastic spool stripped where the d shaped axle inserted into the spool. The plastic on the spool was way too soft for that design! What a waste of money! And they don’t stand behind their products. I am in my mid 60’s, I have a slew of other cars going back to the early 90’s. I don’t beat on my stuff. Stock batteries motors & and tires on this Bronco. Buyers beware….
All my testing is done with a three cell battery . It’s better for comparison. It comes to the understanding that a 2000 battery will make it easier to modulate but 33% slower.
Actually I wanna have all of them so i can enjoy it 200% like y'all but here in my country this thing are really really expensive 4x experience then your price!😭😭😭😭 With that kind of money i can buy a lot new parts in my real vehicle haha! I always stayed in RCi save channel to make a handmade Rc😁
what piss me off is buying anything hwo does not have a branch company (in my country).. so i have to buy from a re seller who can sell it what ever they want. for example an old og axial or axial 2 kit here is easyly above 550-650$ , an old trail finder 2 RTR is 880$, . so only god knows how many $ this thing cost here..

In the US these "cheaper" brands like RGT and FTX (same thing) make little sense-you get cheap "US(Chinese)" trucks at reasonable prices. In Europe and UK these "US(Chinese)" brands are very expensive, and FTX used to be a good alternative, especially for a beginner. They are now going up in price and are close (but not that close) to the "premium" names. I have an FTX Outback 2 and they are very good,an excellent base to start with. A Gen 8 in the UK- $485.....$280 plus over $200 in import and postage added....I have to laugh at the prices you quote for pretty much everything, no one outside the US gets anything that cheap. That's where RGT starts to look attractive.

Plus Banggood is known for poor customer service and TOS. They treat RUclipsrs like Angels, but they don't give a flying truck about paying customers beyond the point of sale. Your LHS will have your back, plus replacement parts and upgrades. It's worth the extra $$ just to avoid Chinese ecommerce sites.
very true. Should be $200
Yeah a lot of them are too expensive!
Hope wpl can make a 1/10 scale in future
Looking forward to the 1080. In it,, NC MOUNTAINS 🏞👍👍
What about rgt 86100 selling for $239 on amazon
The body looks like a knock off of the Gmade sawback jeep body
true that. Gmade is Korean right?
@@RCReviewChannel yes, GMADE KOREA Inc.
Gonghang-dong 61-134, Gmade building, Gangseo-gu,
Seoul 07627, South Korea
Where can I buy this from?
Is this a good beginner rc?
Yes, this is worthy
Love from Indonesia
These RGT trucks are not worth buying. You would be far better off buying the Redcat Gen8 or even a Gen7 Pro. Do not buy anything that has no part support or aftermarket, it just becomes a throw away. Out of the box the Gen8 will destroy that RGT, carefully spend $100 on each truck to upgrade it and there is no comparison. You will end up with a Gen8 that is awesome, and an RGT that has some usable parts for you Redcat Gen8 PACK build.
Good video but the vehicle reminds me of a Tonka You!
Good stuff 👍
I built a custom class 1 crawler for only $250.
The Body looks like the gmade Sawback...
It's a farely nice truck but the front end is kinda ugly isn't it ?
I’d rather spend an extra $50 and get a TRX4 Sport RTR.
Ok I have one for you. Rochobby willys jeep
I bought an RGT 1/10 scale Early Bronco less than a year ago.
During second battery the front rt axle broke at the end where it was machined. “defective clean break!”
I had to contact RGT in China for parts. They wouldn’t warrantee it.
I had to buy a new axle from China.
I brazed it then started to drive it again.
On 4th or 5th battery the rear plastic spool stripped
where the d shaped axle
inserted into the spool.
Thank you for your share. This is a great example that you get what you pay for unfortunately
Yeah, from the sides it does look good, but the front is just ugly.
Why didn’t you use a 2 cell if you know a 3 cell makes it worse? Weird…
All my testing is done with a three cell battery . It’s better for comparison. It comes to the understanding that a 2000 battery will make it easier to modulate but 33% slower.
Actually I wanna have all of them so i can enjoy it 200% like y'all but here in my country this thing are really really expensive 4x experience then your price!😭😭😭😭
With that kind of money i can buy a lot new parts in my real vehicle haha!
Jeeezuz man! What country?
This thing is direct from China so it maybe more affordable where you are. Long shipping times though.
@@RCReviewChannel indonesia... yeah man i know,, the greed,,
to pay something overpriced and knowing i will support ^mafia^ its just hurts,, and
Not all of us have acces to credit card to buy from overseas,,
Can I please have your cheapest RC crawler I really wanted to have one 😭😭
Gmade Sawback replica
Objective lol? This guy already sounds like this is cheap and not worth it. We don’t all have 700 on elite machines. I do want this, it looks good.
This is objectively cheap, especially as it gets closer and closer
i love the jeep really good RC but i hate grille it's UGLY as hell,
Well rgt is actually from Taiwan
And not China....
i have the truck version and so far i love it. didn’t like this version too much, heard truck was a better performer. Here is my first run out of box: ruclips.net/video/2MYlaTIb2oM/видео.html
For a few bucks more get an Axial, thank me later
VaChina is Ahoe
To much money for that buy redcat or axial alot better buy I have been following this company for 2 years they dont have the quality
Chinese rip off. Looks just like the gmade gs01 I have just cheaply made
Not worth it that body is ugly, by the time you make it running good it will cost more than buying a proper crawler rtr
It's hard to get excited about supporting China when we're all stuck at home because of the Kung Flu.
Have you looked at where nearly all your consumer products are made?
@@simonkubacki9823 I'd be pretty ignorant to make a comment like I did if I wasn't aware of that.
I’d like to star in the hobby but I don’t have money to buy a rc car.
Can you send me one for free? One of you recive for review;)
