Mine was delivered 48 hours ago. Without a single mod it challenges my modified trucks. Awesome looks and performance right out of the box.👍
I don't always agree with you but I always watch your reviews before I buy a new rc
I got my CJ-7 today. Rolled it a bunch because the tires hook up beyond my expectations. Super pleased💥
Kind of surprising looker here.
Brand new in the RC crawling world & really enjoy your videos, tips, & upgrade recommendations.
I for one had been waiting on your review on this one. Like you said at the beginning, and honest review. I received mine yesterday and the only gripe, its hard to put the body on. It is a gorgeous rig!! I was going to get it anyway but is always good to hear your take on it. Merry Christmas! keep up the good work.
Its super smooth
Buttery!
Nice little rig and nice review. Axial did their homework this time and there are a lot of details on this one
Great review; axial did a great job on the scale details. Deff love this truck.
Happy Holidays!
After running mine today i would agree with most opinions the the stock esc is lacking. I am not big on the new body pin setup. It worked pretty good on the rocks and had decent side hill and climb for a high CG. Rolled it a couple of times but i was expecting it to roll more. Looks so friggin good i can deal with its short comings.
Nice looking rig , you can adjust the drag brake using a 1080 program card
Great looking jeep, appreciate the video it was looking good out there on the trail and rocks
That was some awesome driving. Merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you my good man. Slick conditions but lucky we got out.
Very very nice love it
I'm building a mashigan on an Early Bronco Chassis because I couldn't wait to get this. Now they're available and I'm going to have to get one.
The switch is easy to relocate as it is just clipped to the side of the rx/esc. Even with a program card the drag brake sucks, I switch them to brushless as soon as I can.
Wow a real test that found some faults. Thank you.
The testers that got it for free stated nothing about the lacking drag brake, kinda slow steering or needing heavier shock oil.
I bought on yesterday. I have not tested other than making sure it worked. A friend of mine looked it. He spotted right away too thin shock oil. Tires are too stiff for where we crawl at.
Drag brake like most every rtr crawler can easily be adjusted with a program card. Shock oil is 30-40wt industry standard for every rtr crawler, regardless make. It would be impossible for axial to perfectly tune each individual vehicle for each and every person who purchases one for there specific geographic area and state. Everything mentioned is called tuning and that's up to the end user. Those aren't problems, and obviously axial not gonna install a 3 hundred dollar servo in a 5 hun dollar rtr 👍🏼
Really wanting this, handles pretty well
Great handling machine with impressive aproach angles and clearances.
I Really Iike how you explain things in detail helps you understand
Agreed completely
thank you for the great compliment.
Great looking rig! I thought I was totally burned out on Wranglers but this one looks fresh and beautiful. I also think interiors make a gigantic difference.
I totally agree! Somehow they made a fresh, dialed Jeep
After seeing what Axial's accomplished w/ this SCX10 III Jeep I now look at my TRX-4 '78 Bronco and go, "I hate you!"
Want.One.So.Bad.
Happy holiday season guys hope everyone is well
We rc-ing so it's all good!
Great video like always! That jeep looks incredible. man I wish I could afford this lol.. it’ll be a while before I can get more rc trucks… single dad life ..
Axial Jeep CJ7 SCX10 III !!!~~~ It's a very good car!!!~~~
I need one of these for survival 💯
Nice
Thanks. Working on this was fun!
Great video sir just subscribed and great RC jeep
FYI you can program the firma to have more drag brake with a hobbywing card. I hate that I want one of these.
Come on Santa!!!! I have been kinda good this year!!!!🤘🤘🤘
Yeah Santa. Check that list twice!
Continuing to increase throttle until the vehicle clears an obstacle is exactly how actual vehicles work. That is a feature, not a bug.
If you want to break them yes
Not in real life it isn’t. Thats how you break an axel or knuckle offroad.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
A sweet thing indeed. Thanks Axial!Been eyeing this one for a while now. Would like to add a winch to the bumper. Which winch would fit? Reviews I watched so far gives it a 👍👍
How great would it be to see the RC companies put out rollers or build kits. Save us money in the long run & gives us all so many more options
They do
My first build was a 10-3
@@TRKISH324 not many options out there for rollers. Maybe if your into crawlers but there isn't a basher roller out there. Hell ya can't even get a Ryft kit anymore
Great review! Is it as big as the Mashigan? Which one do you like better?
Thanks man happy holidays to you 💯 🛻💨
Same to you!
Any idea on the shock weight for the rear, my red one is on the way. I can’t stand the all in one units. That is the first thing going. Putting a fusion in it.
Think you can compare the new axial cj to the mashigan on your rock course? I'd bet it would be an amazing video
Is there such a thing as something similar to a Summit, but not quite as easily flippable? Or Maybe an Axial Crawler that is fast enough to hit maybe 30mph but also has the ability to crawl through tall grass or deep woods etc?
Wow , I want one ☝️
Great review! What size action figure would fit inside the rig? I've been trying to size it up,but no luck.
Maybe 7” max, Arnie ( I be back )
I thought the axial shocks were like 100 or 110mm. I don't think they are 90mm. They might be but I believe they are bigger than that
Excellent review, as in all your videos!
I'm new to this hobby, and maybe it's a silly question, but is there an optional kit or way to add differentials with remote locking?
No, remote locking diffs are so in involved with servos cand cable routing that they have to be designed in to the chassis.
I understand, it's a shame. Is there any chassis that is 4x4 with completely unlocked differentials? Both on the front and rear axle as well as a center differential? Thank you very much for your kindness, I really appreciate it.@@RCReviewChannel
Hi, could you tell me what maximum size is allowed on the side?2s or 3s?thanks
Is your G63 6x6 TRX-6 still your camera chase vehicle?
Im confused did i hear you say ,that you have to take the body off and on in order to use the dig function ?? That doesnt even make sense? I use my dig and my 2 speed transmission in my axial Gladiator from the transmitter on the fly all the time ?
I believe theyre 100 mil shocks
Very nice video. Thanks for show its performance. Are those shocks 90mm or longer. Was thinking of using the trx4 GTR 90mm on mine that I got today but have not pulled it out the box yet. Thanks happy holidays.
They are 90mm
Maybe lower the shocks to the link location with a small spacer will help lower it a bit and get rid of body roll. Could help hill climb as well. Happy holidays from Sacramento.😬
I’m putting dessert lizards on my cj to pull it down
Thanks for the video, what is the name of the park you are at.
Linda Vista in Cupertino
Wow can the decals be removed?
Make it a kit with no electronics for people who already have 5 Ready to Run Radio and electronics.
They already have the scx10 iii Jlu kit which is what you just suggested
It looks nice but for the price of the vanquish with none all in one electronics and a radio that you only need to add a couple servos to hit 500 you have a far better Rx for the same price. I just feel like the vanquish products RTRs should force everybody else to lower their prices a little bit at the very least. Axial and rather buy a TRX4 or a vanquish RTR then the axial offerings with the prices they have
Completely different rigs
@@shaynejenkins446 I still feel like it doesn't change the point I made
How many batteries need?
RC ‘s are an interesting hobby like you I come form over 20 years of being a hard core mountain biker the thing that stands out is the RC companies but out new models but is nothing more then a new body with the same old chassis image cycling or any kind of motor sports where every year there is no actual performance improvements just new colors & body styles it would be a joke & not acceptable to keep charging more or even the the same amount. But we let it happen companies know that if they just give us something pretty we will buy it so it’s our bad. This is the same chassis as the Bronco 2 SCX just with a new body of course. And yes I’m the sucker because I’m sure I’ll get one why because I love the look so it has nothing to do with performance which is nuts🧐
Buy a base camp or buy a Pro stop bitching.
Under $600 what RTR would you buy right now?
VRD Stance
1000mm shocks. It will lok much better with a 90mm shocks
The only way this could meet my needs better is if it was an Fj40
.1 1 FJ-40, now I am talking Toy, not toy, has same virtues as you mention, my 1965 Toy will put 1965 CJ-5 to shame, okay, but WHY do they sound (toy version) like Tamiya Frogs? Years ago, model railroads had same problem, whiny electric motor noise!
Oh no, my mistake, its all EV now
But I thought Toyota 1 : 1 got idea right Rav-4 ca. Y2K EV, NiMH battery, you make it 4x4. Dang it, my mistake again, that was 25 years ago! We can be friends if we put aside our issues, but I am going to start my Kyosho 1/8 4WD 3.5CC (.21 cu in) O.S. R/C buggy that is 25 years old, and EAT your track for lunch. That is promise, you know you kids are kinda wierd.
Needs a driver.
Ghost driver not scale.
You explain everything nice here in the beginning but you're showing us the wrong camera angle 😅
What’s a canera angle you’re making no sense 😅
@robertbrass6255 @robertbrass6255 I meant camera angle. No biggie. At 2:40 He had the phone recording from the other side, when he was showing the underside of the RC. The camera angle we saw there was not showing us what he was explaining. Anyway, great truck, great driving and I'm stoked, my pre-order came in today in red. 👍
Yeah sorry, lost all that footage since I ran out of memory on that phone I used to film
@@RCReviewChannel I figured. Great review. They should have sent you one of the early releases. Maybe they didn't because you are too honest in your reviews 😄. I just received mine today. It's a looker for sure. Didn't drive it yet.
Haven’t run mine yet, came broken, well not finished. The screws that hold the C-hubs on were missing. Horizon/Axial customer service was less than helpful. Wait a month get a defective product. Bad customer service in my opinion.
That sucks.
Don’t you review mtb stuff too?
Why so late to the party mate?? :P
lol wrong camera
Marty looks tiny .
Yeah, tiny head. And then Biff's head was above the roof. At the end of the day, very hard to get a real figure in since the seat and the floorboard sits high to fit a driver of the proper scale.
Absolutely beautiful body. Typical Horizon. Junk electronics, sits to high, to much body roll, and the transmission is garbage.
Yeah hobbywing is such junk 😂
@@jgrc73 RTR electronics are garbage.
Cry about it@@dezfan
@@shaynejenkins446 truth hurt? I’m sorry, but stick electronic s are junk. If you watched the video, you’ll see that it sits to high. It looks good, but it hurts performance. If looks is your primary concern. Then I guess it’s not an issue. As for the trans. I’ve owned enough Axial transmissions to know that many have issues. But to each their own. If you like the CJ as is. Great.👍🏼
