Nice one Gavin. RGT have been making some pretty solid crawlers and trail trucks for a long time and the price is quite reasonable for what you get. For a SWB it definitely drives well... and that body shell looks epic!!
Great video thankyou for the run down at the beginning if you was in Australia like i used to be the side bars coming off the front roo bar are called side bash bars and are very good for deflecting things like roo's emus and the odd cow that walks across the out back roads.
What an amazing cool place to scale 4x4. Very nice detailed scale rock crawler. The metallic red is beautiful. I have a Trx6 with custom cantilever suspension that I built with all the added brass and alloy for weight just so I can take on creeks and streams like that❤
Fender bars clip off at front and swing out of the way making fitting the body much easier, the 2 spotlights included are suggested to fit on each wing near windscreen😉
Nice clip. The fact that the body is difficult to remove does not matter. If you drive a 3000 mAh 2-3S lipo, you have a driving time of 2-3 hours depending on the terrain. A good replacement motor for it? I would choose the Hobbywing QuicRun 555 11 or 13t 5-slot motor and 1080 G2 ESC. 🇸🇪🤘😎🤘🏁
I’ve built a hardbody scale truck using ShrinkRC body mounts on an SSD trail king and it’s difficult to get any scale body with an interior. That’s the trade off with scale bodies in general but it’s worth it
Looks a solid trail truck. I notice you haven't got a Tamiya CR01 Toyota land cruiser? I love mine very capable trial/ Crawler. Some good upgrades for it to.
I must say it is really impressive, and what a lovely area you found to drive it 😊 what was the wheelbase? Imagine that chassis with a 1973 bronco body on it. But maybe the bronco body has too short wheelbase? 🤔🤷♂️
I wish RGT and parts were more readily available in the US. They have some great rigs for a great price. I've picked up a couple off of asiatees but, after shipping, it's the same price as big names here in the US. But, I really enjoy my RGT rigs.
You need to take a good look at FTX i was so surprised & now I have three It’s sad to say this but tamiya doesn’t have anything that can compete with FTX However I am going to got 8 TT02 s so the whole family can go rallying together And have a drink drive night in the garden ( use to do that with scalelectrick ) for the adults when the kids are in bed
They say it’s waterproof but I always wonder about the exposed light module that’s on the inside of the body? Is that made to be submerged in water? What if the lights are running during that submerging?
Hahaha ❤ patience Gav patience 😂😂❤️👍 I must admit it is really detailed and looks rather sturdy 😊👍 I have not yet come to the driving part of the video 😊
@@RCKickschannel lol thank god for that rgt and ftx i’m sure are the same thing i’ve got a ftx fury xtreme and that’s the same as rgt 86100 so parts are abundant 👍
When it gets too deep the wheels leave the bed and it starts to float and drift. If you add power it still moves in the water but it’s not that controllable.
"Well, that's just like like your opinion man".! 😁 Without meaning to offend, I feel it's a bit baseless these days. (that's my opinion) 😉 RTR models are fantastic. I've got around 50 RCs & only 6 we're bought as kits, all Tamiya.! I can totally take or leave them, I modify & upgrade my RTR models with motors, servos, ESCs etc. I prefer to put my time into aftermarket bodyshells, I love painting them... I've just finished a Bittydesign Destroyer for my Limitless. But I couldn't care less about the chassis. Obviously it's important to go over the chassis to check that its screws, nuts & bolts are done up & threadlocked along with checking/tuning the diffs & shocks. If I had more time I might build more kits, but I just don't really see the benefit.!

Pretty impressive overall, and you captured the "fun" of crawling quite well.. including the dreaded clean up 😄
I love having Crawlers wish I used them more I feel my friends are lazy to go on 3 or 4 he walks myself I love it

Liking the popalong hoodie Gav…..👍👍
That's a great looking rig, Gav. Wonderful review and running footage, too!

Thanks :)
A great review and test. I would seal any vent hols in the wheels.
This rc looks like the real thing 😌👍
I really love this rig. I already upgraded the wheels to alloy one. We have the same color Rick, enjoy....
Great trail footage!
Thanks! 👍
Those extra lights are “ditch lights.” They go on bottom corners of the windshield. The RGT Rescuer LC76 version has them pre installed.
Wow, a very nice truck / crawler 😮🤝

The bars are moveable!
That is nice!! The other one the came out with is nice too. Rescue I think the name is👍👍

@@RCKickschannel cooool! I might have to get this body, im pretty sure its easy enough to swap them ?
It's a very nice color.
Gunna need them bairings oiling lol 👍👍
for sure lol
Will it float with air in the tires?
...you should try to seal the rims and tires and try again.
Great video
You just need to remove the front bumper side protection (Bars), just pull them towards you, it’s very simple, I found it out after loads of attempts.
I think the thing you didn't know is a towbar. We sell loads of these.... reslly popular

Hi mate how much is it I could not find it on the website?
Google rgt intruder for more info. Looking at £230-£260
Dude your really testing the water capabilities of the electronics haha
lol sure did
Just pre-ordered x2 jay hasley rc10 kits 👋🤪
Had some free cash, sell one keep the other. 😂 learning from the best

Damn, nice rig. It goes well.
Way better than I expected
Try hair doughnuts or 3d printed insets in the tyres. Neither will hold water like the foams do. 👍🏻
Looks like a great effort from RGT. And a superb location & vid too. It looked like a location from a Tomb Raider game! Where was that? Cheers.
It's in a small village called Ashwell

Side bumpers pop off from front, 😉
Nice 👍🏾🔥
Of course you can drive it through water, it has a snorkel 😂
I know, right lol
It might be rocklights
It's a reversing light

i do hope that water is not like most in uk 10 percent water 90 percent sewerage overspill cause you will need more than wd40 😅

Definitely not first !
So when you went in the deep water be honest did you have your doubts it would drive through it 😂😂😂
When it gets too deep the wheels leave the bed and it starts to float and drift. If you add power it still moves in the water but it’s not that controllable.
So what your saying is essentially it turns into an amphibious vehicle lol

RTR is the worst
This opinion has become the minority these days with more and more RTR kit becoming available each month.
That's fine I'm used to holding minority options 😂@@RCKickschannel
Why do you say that they give us more for our money then the other companies I feel and crawlers are pretty much the same so straightforward
