    It’s inconsiderate to order 180$ worth of food, knowing he’s a student and knowing his food cost 20$
    I wouldn’t do that, that would be the last date

      @Tia I I'm glad you said that, that's exactly how I feel. I think It would make you look careless and rude without taking into account the person's feelings and situation. Hes just trying to show her a good time by taking her to a more fancier place than red lobster.

    People saying he shouldnt have taken her to an expensive restaurant. Well he managed to order a meal and drink for 20$ therefore the mid price range is a decent one, she should have been able to order almost anything for a reasonable amount 20-50$ but she went straight to the most expensive stuff! Says a lot about her.

      I did have a female friend that would pull that whether she liked the guy or not. She was going to order like it was the last supper, but never understood why she didn’t get a second date. If she ate like that on her dime, it wouldn’t be a big deal.

      I agree, any restaurant that has wine will have expensive options for example. It didn't even have to be an expensive restaurant to run a bill like that up.

    • @Soul_Fed
      @Soul_Fed 4 года назад +1

      That's probably what someone told her to do. I know people who tell women to order the most expensive thing on the menu and see what the guy does. In my opinion you should be reasonable on the first date. At least ask if it is ok. Also if he took her to an expensive restaurant it's most likely the prices weren't on the menu. I probably would have ordered the lobster too. But since I am a cook I know not to order that. It's always safer to go with chicken lol

    I don't think I've ever ordered the most expensive thing on any menu, and certainly never on a first date. I'm a picky eater, so my choices are usually pretty limited, but I still try to stay middle of the road on price point. My boyfriend tells me I can order whatever I please, when we go out. And I know he can afford it, but that's not the point. I'm with him because I want to be with Him, not because of what he can buy me. I'd rather he spend his money on something better than an overpriced meal that's finished in less than an hour.

    Me personally... if I’m going on a first date with a guy, and I make the decision to order the lobster, there’s no way in hell I’m having him pay for it, that’s ridiculous & it’s taking the piss🙈🤨. I believe in chivalry and a man paying for a date etc, but I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night knowing I went there, ran up that bill like that & just expected him to pay. And what is this business about, a man needing to pick the venue that’s “affordable”??... so then he picks McDonalds and now his date thinks he’s a cheapskate?!?! Again, that’s just ME, but I’m not taking advantage of someone like that🙈🙈🙈.

Trust me you can take a woman out to an expensive reataurant and not that you cant afford it but he just wants to see your attitude. Same thing he will take you to Mac Donalds or any other fast food and still test you. The guy is a student. I dont understand women that say " High Maintenance" I mean who where ? Is there a gauge that when a woman is born there is a gauge?? Women be simple and real. Asking for Lobsters and when the closest thing related to fish u have ever eaten are "Sardines" Be real it works for alot of brothers,you go out on a date the lady asks for a beer and the guyz face not only lights up but he will engage you more. Thats if its a real guy you trying to get. Not these guyz comming out faking they can afford stuff when they cant. So bros also be real. Never be ashamed of being who you are I have actually experienced this. The real Woman appreciates a Real Brother..and vice versa..I mean the boy is a student and you go ordering lobsters?Like seriously.??I remember once we went out as a group of friends ladies and men and out of the ladies there was this ONE lady that started ordering "James Bond" cocktails to a point where all her friends felt embarassed,like why was she doing all this..?? If I was that guy I would have done 1 of 2 things:
    1) Slip out the restaurant and ghost her.
    2) Pay the bill and never call her again.
    Why would you order a meal that is $180 and have that put on a dude's tab on a first date and he's a student? It's not about being a student or professional, it was rude to order something 9x the cost of your date's dinner. A good rule of thumb is to order a meal that is equivalent in price to what your date ordered or less, that's how you show you appreciate being taken out and paid for. Her behavior is not OK and she is taking advantage of guys, there is nothing about that woman worth paying $180+ for on a first date. Her attitude and entitlement is proof that she wasn't worth that meal. What if she ordered a meal that was $1,000? It's not about the amount, it's about the principles of respect and being humble. Let that woman keep doing that and she'll never get a quality relationship. It pisses me off hearing this, students cannot afford this. She's just using this guy for free and exuberant meals and doesn't give a damn about what his pockets can afford. If you are high maintenance all the time stop dating guys that can't keep up with it, do not date students as they can't handle it either.
    One of the women spoke about why should a normally high maintenance woman have to calm down and not be high maintenance when going out on dates with guys, thing is she isn't buying $180 meals for herself. She's definitely used to getting over on guys and sticking them with a huge bill, she herself would order something that was $20. So let this chick go date herself and purchase $180+ meals. lol

    It's funny how me and my friends were just talking about this the other day.I feel like a woman should always order things that cost less than what the man orders.that's just me.

      @B VV i totally understand your point(but me personally,I would not feel comfortable knowing that someone else's bill is higher because of me.not just on a date with a man but in general)

      I have never been asked to do that but I do it anyway. Let him order first and follow his lead. I also wouldn’t order an appetizer and limit it to no more than one alcoholic drink (for safety reasons as well). Never had a problem doing this.

    I always asked the other person what they were thinking of ordering. Then I would look to see how much that cost and I would try to order something of equal or lesser cost than what they ordered.

    When a man offers to bring something, and the woman suggest a wine, leave it at that and what kind of wine he brings will be according to what he can afford or his Ripple character. It becomes parasitical when everything is measured by the decimal point of his money. Such women are only in it for the green.

    Dates are based on the experience of spending time with someone and getting to know them. Going skating, a walk in the park, eating ice cream and going for coffee are all great times to be had! This is how you weed out those who are lurking to take advantage of you. The ladies say the guy should pay, what if the guy actually DIDN'T have the money to pay? Someone told me the girl actually invited him out to the place too. What is the benefit in him being a gentleman to her and not holding her accountable? >.>;

    I'm a woman and I've always split or alternated the cheque. My ex had less money than me because he was still in school and I would pick up most of the tabs for movies, activities and dinner because I had money and he was tight at the time. If one person has significantly more then it's okay but you shouldn't just be taking advantage of people like that. Why would guys put up with that?

    I do not accept a date as a woman somewhere unless I know I can afford it. I’ve been in situations where the man made ME pay and I was kind of annoyed. I always order the cheapest thing off the menu and I offer to chip in but it’s nice to have them take the bill. I’m a student though, so this changes things

    First date?no.do not go for the most expensive items on the menu.now,special occasion, been together a while, ask first.It avoids issues. If you know you don't have longhorn steak house money,don't go there. All you need to do is simply ask.

      rochelle thundercloud y'all keep forgetting the whole ordeal, first off it doesn't matter where you go if he did go to or her to a high restaurant does that give you the green light to say oh let me order $400 worth of food, no that's bad home training and shows how you were raised, even if they say go ahead still don't because you don't know if they have enough or setting you up for the bill, but regardless still wouldn't order that much

    The lady was wrong for ordering a meal of that price, especially expecting a student to pay for it. Based on what he ordered it should’ve been a clue that his money was funny. Truth is there are a lot of women who date for free meals and entertainment knowing they have no real interest in the guy. Steve is old school and there are men today who don’t feel like they should always pay for a date, so any woman dating today better be prepared to pay for whatever she orders.
