Isn't alcohol drying for your hair? I would prefer using the spray recipe, but I'm afraid of the long term effects.

Yes, I think it will be the easiest way to apply if you have the charcoal in powdered form 🙂
I would suggest you look into no sulfates fast hair growth shampoo.
