I don't know how they did it, but the creators of Transistor managed to make a romance between a talking sword and a mute woman into one of the best romances I've ever seen in a work of fiction.
I love cyberpunk, sci-fi, technology, computer science and I love the remarkable music and visual style of this game. Needless to say: What a fucking amazing game.

supergiant games ALWAYS HITS transistor, bastion, pyre, hades too (which is the only one i haven’t played, but i will at some point) i got introduced to bastion and transistor from watching my dad play as a kid, and now that i’m growing i’m able to enjoy them fully and they’re so BEAUTIFUL, like sentiment in game form, these guys know how to make a feeling transcend the words used to describe it and reach the recipient… they’re in a whole other category from other video games, cause they’re not just games, they’re art

It was three years ago... I was checking steam sales and I saw the gamr and I click on it (it caught my attention, because of the name i found it interesting and funny somehow). And I suddendly discover a fantastic game that I will remember always. I am still replaying it nowadays. By the way, I havent played any game of this company, Transistor has the most curious style and unique style in my opinion, even a bit better than Hades. Its a pitty that this is maybe the less receive title compare it with the rest.
Well you can break it down. It is electronic since it has sounds that cannot be produced by regular instruments. Then there is frequent tone changes wich is a classic feature. (modern music have a single tone throughout the whole thing) And there is a solo singer wich wierdly enough have no category at all for some reason singers were always handled as a simple instrument regardless of theire presence. The tone repeat lenght is very short wich is rock-like. I would go with classic electric rock-opera.
I gave up on trying to figure out the genres of music I like. Most of the good music hardly fits in a "real genre" anyways. I can more easily describe genres that I don't like. It would be nice if my favorite music had a genre so that I could find similar music, but the best music is usually in its own genre or defines a new genre.
I came by pure chance and really enjoyed the song. The fact that it is an OST is confusing me because i don't know what "Transistor" is. Is it a movie or a game?
i think i herd this song in kingdom hearts dream drop at the end of travers town and this song will match the noobodys and the real bodys :D thats why i love this song

Yeah, I don't know how. But I know the ending made me cry that she left him alone in that sword because she took Royce's words to heart.

this games story just tugged at my heart strings, just like bastion. these people just know how to combine a great game, with great music.
I heard this song while playing Audica and then immediately had to go buy Transistor. Great game, and amazing soundtrack.
