  • 23andMe has one of the largest DNA database, thus results are often more accurate than competitors. WeGene is a Chinese based company and often used by Chinese so I am going to assume it may be one of the most accurate for predicting ethnicity in Chinese people.
    💜About the Content Creator:💜
I'm a 34 year old female with auriculotemporal and zygomatic neuralgia and chronic childhood onset insomnia. I also have intractable migraines. Most of my uploads are food related or milestone/anniversary vlogs. My latest videos often feature my boyfriend Mauricio who helps me a whole lot. I try to navigate everyday life as someone with chronic pain and illness. Rarely do I like talking about my condition but do mention my chronic illness for context.
Mauricio and I have only been dating since March 18, 2022. He's my rock, cheerleader and constant supporter! I could have never gotten back to content creating without him. He is always helping me in any way he can to make living with disability/chronic illness a little bit more bearable.
Linda is of Southern Chinese (Cantonese and Taishanese) descent, and Mauricio is Hispanic American of Salvadorian, Honduran and Venezuelan descent.
Note: I apologize for any typos or grammatical errors. Having severe chronic insomnia has had a negative impact on my memory and communication. I'm doing the best I can and am not sure if I made any errors. Thank you for understanding!

Which one? Lol I just used different selfies for this (although the one in the dress was a reface and not my body) but the main content is talking about my 23andme result. Thank you

Why is it boring? What's exciting about being a hybrid?

Hi there! Thanks for the comment! Good point! I meant it kinda sarcastically because I've heard people say they were hoping for more variety! But you are absolutely right, regardless of our breakdown, it's nice to see where you came from

All else equal, being unique is more interesting than being the same as 1.4 billion other people. It's not an insult; just an acknowledgement that being mixed race is less common than being one race and therefore has more of an original story to tell.

@@MayTheSchwartzBeWithYou It is very common to be mixed-race. Most of Latin Americans, Central Asians, South Asians, and so on are mixed-race. The upshot is that they're just "brown" and there's little exciting about it. Northeast Asians and Europeans are pretty unusual that way.

@@MayTheSchwartzBeWithYou point taken. 👍 It's neither bad nor good but can make one seem rare. East Asia tends to be mostly homogenous because we've had a closed door policy until around the late 1800s when we were forced to interact and trade with Westerners. But we also have a huge diaspora due to poverty making people desperate to make a living elsewhere. You'll find a Chinese person nearly everywhere, even in remote parts of the world.
I acknowledge that I'm not that unique if you look at me ethnicity wise. But I am unique in that there are not many full Southern Chinese with my eye colors (they are lighter than the average East Asian).

@@Humanophageyou mean in terms of dominant phenotypes right? I think we all remember learning in high school biology that brown is a dominant allele/phenotype whereas blue eyes or blonde hair or pale skin is recessive. So yes I see your point too that being mixed often results in an averaged appearance. But ironically it's the law of averageness that social scientists discovered to be the most attractive. Hence why many beauty pageant winners comes from Latin American countries and the Philippines where there is a high mixed population
