I never knew my father and I just found him through Ancestry DNA! I sent him a message, but it looks like he hasn't logged in since I sent it. I'm pretty nervous considering he isn't even aware of my existence. 😐 In the meantime, I recieved a message from my (paternal) second cousin who was given up for adoption and just found her mom too! 💜
I found my birth father after 55 years as well as sisters and cousins. It has changed my life - something I never, EVER thought possible. I’m also 8% Ashkenazi Jewish as well as a mixture of European and African ancestors. Valerie, I am so glad you were able to find your daughter and I hope you have love, peace and a sense of your connection with her.
Lindsey Pindsey Be patient. Mine took several years after I found a first cousin on Ancestry and found letters from my birth mom. My half sister was wary at first but then agreed to having a meeting. I told her all I wanted was to see him and find out what I could. I had the best adoptive parents and as far as I’m concerned and I am grateful I got a chance at life through my birth parents.
Nope I’m only 93% Jewish. But my girlfriend who was raised Catholic took the test and she’s actually 98 % Jewish... she wondered how she was going to tell her sister who was a nun .. but when she did her sister wisely said ... “ well Jesus was a Jew”! Perfect answer!
Beth Johnstone Jesus was not a Jew, he was an Israelite which is very different. Israelites are the lineage and are not all Jews. Some are Christians, Muslims, Jews , pagans etc etc like any other people. They are from the line of prophet Isaac, the younger son of prophet Abraham. the word Jew arises centuries later from those who follow yehuda. Jesus didn't follow yehuda, he was a prophet of the one God. This narrative needs to stop
@@BusyAngel9999 With all due respect you are talking out of ignorance. Of course Jesus was Jewish. Look at the history books. 2000 years ago, in the Land of Israel Herod, Jewish King of the Jews under the Roman occupiers, ordered a census of the Jews. ... Why do you think Mary and Joseph had to travel to Bethlehem when she was so heavily pregnant? It was because of the census. Everything Jesus does and teaches is Jewish - it's the disciples who change things AFTER his death - like getting rid of the rules of kashrut which Jesus will have observed meticulously). They did this so as to widen their newly invented religion, Christianity, to include other groups. The Children of Israel (who I guess you mean by Israelites) became a Jewish nation in the Land of Israel (formerly Canaan) a thousand years before Jesus so I assure you that he was pure and simply Jewish. You only have to look at the prayer he wrote - The Lord's Prayer to see it is one hundred per cent a transliterated version of the standard Jewish blessing.
p.s. as for the name "Jew" it came from the Hebrew. Yehudah was one of the Kingdoms of Israel, where the Israelites lived - this dates to a thousand years before Jesus, so I promise you he too was a Yehudi. (Even as they spin their web of lies about being native to the land of the Jews - the "Palestinians" reaffirm this fact - the Arabic for Jew is YAHUD!!!)
he was a prophet of god, the messiah, his prophethood is unquestionable. if the yehudis and what they were following was correct and what god revealed then why was jesus tasked to come to these very people and if he was a jew himself? clearly they were not following gods plan and clearly he was not jewish, he was a prophet of the one god. clearly the jews of the time and the society were wrong and they needed guidance, therefore jesus came. and thats why jews havent been in the holy land for centuries. the very purpose of prophets in the first place. the story of mary and joseph is not accepted by all, many believe mary gave birth by herself (no joseph and no travel) and presented baby jesus to the people as prophet of god when he spoke. btw the palestinians are the original israelites and more semitic than some 'israelis' and are very much native to the land, thats why god has protected them there for as long as he has-just like he promised god has alos promised if those israelites who spread terror and force people out of their land and forget the promise they made to god and god made to them, that he would make sure punishmet comes to them. this fact conveniantly gets left out
Believe this or not, I met your grandmother in the early 90s in the North Park neighborhood of San Diego. I was a walking in the area, I was a salesman at the time and approached her to make a sale. She spoke of you, at the time you were doing Blossom.
My Dad called me to say, "Hey I'm your father." I said, "Well glad to know that that could have been awkward if we weren't." I love my Dad for creating a Star Wars moment even if the obvious.
I am adopted and because of certain laws I have been prevented from tracking down birth family to get medical/genetic/bio history, so I took the 23andMe test. I knew enough about my natural history to know that there was a strong strong European component, so I had a hunch that I would probably encounter a smidgen of Ashkenazi in my genetic makeup. The test came back at a whopping 25%!!! I was so thrilled, but even more Mayim, what you said about seeing this information and understanding how it connects you to so much, even if there had only been a small amount in your DNA, is exactly how I felt as an adopted person. It helped me feel like I was part of something greater and more special.
One of my brothers used it and found a brother we were never told about. (he was thrilled to have info on our Mother, who has passed) She must have been heart broken to have to give him up for adoption, (70 years ago things were different) He has welcomed us, and the five of us do welcome him.
I’m still waiting for my result to comeback though. My first attempt of DNA extraction was failed and they send me a free replacement. It’s been 3 months already
@Beautiful Nightmare Christian here. Do you even read the KJV Bible? Christ did that and the lost sheep He came for rejected Him, and condemn themselves in the process. Read the New Testament
I'm 50 percent Jewish & 50 percent Italian. Was supposed to be all Italian, mom has some explaining to do after 60 years. Any who I have a sister and a brother , I never knew about. Luckily I'm getting to know my sister. So happy, she's my Birdie!
Jews live in Italy. The origin of ghetto is gheto, or foundry. We were limited to the foundry area in Venice. The first ghetto. Complete with yellow hats and badges. Not something that needed a replay.
Not arguing with the comment about Venice, but broadly speaking most Jews in Italy are Sephardic. Most Sephardim did not segregate themselves from non-Jews unless there was a specific reason. My general impression is that Sephardim didn't object as much to mixed marriages as long as the kids were raised Jewish. Also possible is that some of your Sephardic ancestors converted to christianity at some point.
I'm adopted so did an Ancestry DNA test to see if I really am Irish and Welsh, as I had been told by my parents. Not only did I find out my DNA percentages (37% Irish/Scottish, 67% English, Welsh and NW European, 2% Norwegian), more importantly I now have two new younger sisters I didn't know existed (I have half brothers too but they don't know about us). Our birth mother had put Disclosure Vetoes on our three files when she put us up for adoption, so lifelong questions were finally answered . For those uncomfortable with taking the test -- don't -- but know we are already aware of potential risks and have done it because the potential rewards greatly outweigh the potential for bad. I'm spending my first birthday ever with one of my new sisters in November -- I couldn't ask for a better 60th birthday present :)
@@sully9427 Oops my math obviously sucked there lol. I'm 61 percent English, Welsh, and NW European, not 67. Update since then - I have very recently discovered who my birth father is, he's happy knowing about my existence after 60 years, and he would like to meet me (probably will happen in the next couple of weeks). It's also been wonderful getting to know my two new sisters, and my new cousins have been incredibly welcoming too. It truly has been a life changing experience, and with just one exception, has been very positive.
She surely has blossomed to a wonderful adult......loved Blossom....but I also loved her in Beaches!!! Everytime I watch that movie I cry!!! Even after all this time!
Mayim, thank you for being so refreshing and honest, your smiles and laughter is contagious. May you and your family have a joyful holiday. Thanks for sharing.
My DNA test brought about a surprise that my birth father wasn't who I'd thought he was...and my best friend from grade school (and her brother) were my half siblings! Kinda took both families by surprise.
arthur Koestler advances the thesis that Ashkenazi Jews are not descended from the historical Israelites of antiquity, but from Khazars, a Turkic people originating in and populating an empire north of and between the Black Sea and Caspian Sea.
Bingham Guevara I sincerely hope for her sake that Mayim has managed to overcome her dislike of washing hands. Stay safe everyone. Btw, I do love Mayim, not meaning to sound horrible with my comment.💕
Ah yes. As a baby boomer, I yearn for the Cold War era when we only had to worry about being nuked by the Soviets. And even then, we only worried when we thought about it too hard. Simpler times, simpler times.
I, Elham, an Iranian girl, writing you this message from Caspian sea, is happy to tell you: Wooow girl so that's why you are so cool!!! It's because our grandmas were neighbors. 😁 :-)
Me neither I love dark chocolate and I have allergies so I always sneeze I never noticed if it increases after dark chocolate because I always sneeze I do know that I sneeze when it’s sunny, I thought I was the only one
Mayim Bialik is such a delight, and she's such a brilliant lady. I love that she is so down-to-Earth with her humour. This was such a cool video, thanks for sharing!
If you have an android or apple phone, most of your personal info is already taken by a corporation If 23 and me wants to take my DNA and clone me, go for it.
Yeah, I know what you mean. One time I got scammed out of $5k. I decided what the hell, might as well sign over my house, IRA and pension to the guy - keep working, paying the mortgage and contributing to his retirement of course.
Trump made it legal for others to MAKE MONEY off of your, mine, everyone's SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. You're concerns would be valid, but there's a White Nationalist in the Oval.
Thank you Mayim for sharing - I’ve been trying to get my husband to take a genetics test and we were just talking about 23andMe! Plus - you talk with your hands! Yes, I do that, too!
Other results that came back about Mayim Bialik.... 100% more likely to be more awesome than any other actor or actress with a PhD. 100% more likely to be an absolutely beautiful woman and a dream.
Hi Mayim. I am a British woman and I just wanted you to know that I am not surprised you are now a qualified doctor, because you cheered me up when I was suffering from depression with your character Blossom, with the flowers and your sparkling personality. I looked forward to seeing the show every week and often wondered what became of you. Thank you, sweetheart. ❤
Wow! Such a high percentage! I am a Heintz 57! Apparently my family decided to bring all corners of the world together. We bring peace and togetherness. Not really at all but it sounds great doesn’t it?! I do like to bring a lot of love wherever I go. This was a fun video. Much Love
I had no idea that they had an option for the wellness and trait reports. I’m a nerd and NOW would be 100% okay with getting the pricier kit to find out my ancestry AND traits. Haha! Thanks for amusing video! It was fun to watch your reactions.
If you have already submitted you DNA to ancestory or 23 and me without opting for the health report, you can download your raw data and upload it to Promethease for like 10 or 15 dollars to get your health data... it's cheaper than redoing it
It's also great, because they apply any new trait info/health info to your account too when they add more. Every now and again I get an email saying they have added some new report!
I am also Ashkenazi. I'm very proud of it. My grandfather many years ago was also a genealogist and traced our family back to the 1400's. It's amazing to see the heritage on paper, but also see it on a 23 and Me report. 💜
Sepahrdi, ashkenazi jews are converted white European colonizers not jews or middle eastern...you guys are colonizers and never will be middle easterner...same as colonizers balck ethopian and others jews...we will expelled you after dna test... search jews ethnic groups 😅
Pretty sure I’m going to survive the discontinuation of TBBT because I can still tune in and watch your channel! Thanks for your candor, humor and willingness to share!
My aunt found out her neighbor is her cousin...not from DNA but because she had a picture of a common relative in her house. The pic was of our Aunt Charlotte ,which started a conversation.
mr negatively When I was a kid I thought I was 100% IRISH because Mom & Dad both had IRISH last names. Turns out O'GRADY name is more English than IRISH. I know we were part IRISH because of all the IRISH FRECKELS. I did also learn its not just IRISH & SCOTTISH born with Red Hair & Freckels. IRISH FAMILYS are known for having lots of kids like my Family 10 kids. Mom side gave us kids 16 first cousins. At least grade school girls thought our Freckels were cute. We were 70s kids Brady Bunch, Partridge Family, Leave it to Beaver. AN IRISH GIRL IS THE BEST DRINKING BUDDY A GUY COULD HAVE. ERIN GO BRAGH IRELAND FOREVER
I took the Ancestry test. I'm 97% British Island. Well that is what my Dad said. His line “Ireland, Scotland and Wales”. It also said my mother's towns in Ireland and her fathers roots from Germany. It works!
Sorry my english is bad, but I would like to tell you this special story about my family and me: for many years I don't know where am I from. My parents also they did not know where their are came from or their grandparents or their parents. I remember I was so sad and I feel some hurt, because I don't know who they are my grandparents or my family members. 4 years ago I started researching to my family. And now I know my grandma have 90% Ashkenazi Jewish, and my Grandpa 80% indigenous Quechua (from Perú), and Huaorani (from Ecuador, Napo River, Yasuní National Park, Amazonia)!!! And his great granparents are full blooded tribal indigenous persons. And the ironic, and very touchable in this story, that these two cultures were present throughout my life. Oh and now I'm an archaeologist student who researching Pre-columbian artifacts...
as a actress I've always thought you were good and enjoyed watching you, after this I like you even more, this was very entertaining and made me laugh, your personality is amazing and you are full of life. stay healthy
Haha! I just watched Garry Marshall’s commentary on making “Beaches,” and during the “Oh, Industry” number, he said “Bette doesn’t like wearing masks.” Oof...I guess she does now. 🤣
😅 I say that sometimes, but EVERY DAY I wash my hands around 30 times. Something like that. It's a mixture of perfectionism, paranoia due to having Crohn's, and undiagnosed OCD.
this was great! I loved how you explained the science in a simple, straightforward manner (migration traced thru maternal DNA, likilihood, etc.). I was as excited as you where when I got my results!
I literally had this exact thought right before going to look at comments (She seems so likable). Racist? Why? Because she values her connection to her people? Isn't that why everyone is doing these tests?
It is not surprising, Mayim. You could have find out you were 99 percent Ashkenazi. I think I am going to take the test as well. I am very mixed Jewish Sefaradi and Ashkenazi. It is interesting that they can trace from which countries our families migrated. This is awesome everything science can reveal about us and it is going to be more and more accurate with the time. Thank you for sharing your results, Mayim. Chag sukkot sameah.
Interesting. Maybe I could find out if my great grandfather is the Polish guy my great grandma married or the German guy in one of her photographs who looks a lot like my granddad and uncle :D
I was laughing when you said you don't like to wash your hands because I could actually see Sheldon FREAKING OUT to that statement and Howie from AGT (I think) never letting you touch him. Seriously! I shot coffee out of my nose.
Most Jewishy Jew. Hysterical. I love my 23 and me info. I am neanderthal. I am not Ashkanazi but I love it when my mammography patient tells me that she is. And 23andme is the only testing site approved for the BRCA mutations. Yay!
She said she didn't LIKE to wash her hands, but as an observant Jew and a biologist she knows how important it is, so Sheldon and Howie have nothing to worry about.
Thats gotta be hard for you. Im on my husbands account my name is Gina and Ive been thinking about doing this as well doing the dna thing something tells me im gonna find out things I dont wanna find out. From my dads side probably I have siblings I had never known about.
Found that out about a relative. That the person in my family who everyone thinks is his father, isn’t his father. Don’t know the story about what happened, and I won’t even think to ask, but it was a very shocking thing to learn.
My step mom took this test and found out her dad was not her biological father and that she is 50% Ashkenazi Jewish. She had to have a little talk with her mother, and she confirmed that the test was accurate.
that happened to my friend Bill, too. He and his sister turned out to be half-siblings; Bill had to confront his mother. She finally admitted to a one night stand. Bill was able to find half-siblings from his father, but the man himself had passed.
Thank you for being a good role model for young women and girls. Women like you and Danica McKellar are working to make smart cool and encourage young girls to look in between the pages of a textbook and absorb what they find there. You teach them not to limit themselves to looks only and I think that's exactly what we need more of today. So, yeah, thank you for all you do.
I took the test through Ancestry and found some surprises too. You got me beat big time on the Jewishness. I found a 1-3% Sephardic Jewishness, and a bunch of Spanish, Irish, English, and a dash of Belgian, Scandinavian, Italian, and West African. I would've expected some Sephardi since my Spanish ancestors apparently had to leave in a hurry with the Inquisition being inquisitive, perhaps because they didn't purchase enough pork at the market. Who knows? But those were rough times to be Jewish. The amount of English was the biggest surprise. I never identified with England and thought I couldn't be from there, but as it turns out, I got a bunch of Brit. I'm very happy with the Italian and West African bits. Hey, folks got around back then. Thanks for a very entertaining look into your sneezing and chocolate habits.
My wife thought she was all Scottish and Irish. Turns out the largest percentage is Scandinavian. Now we go to workshops where she plays Scandinavian music and I cook Scandinavian food. I might buy my Viking an axe. Be sure to recheck your results from time to time. As the number of sample results increase, your results can change ... sometimes dramatically ... sometimes not so much.
And they raided England and Ireland for 300 years. Also, the Normans are descended from a Viking/Paris treaty so they would quit raiding every other year.
Scandinavian people mixed with the original Scottish and Irish a lot due to raiding. I'd think it's pretty likely that even people born in either Scotland or Ireland with native born Scottish or Irish ancestors going as far back as can be remembered would still show up having a large percentage Scandinavian ancestry on tests like these. It's great to know and acknowledge the path our ancestors took so it's cool she acknowledges and participates in things to do with Scandinavian culture. She just wasn't necessarily wrong about her ancestry. She could have gotten the Scandinavian genes from Scottish or Irish ancestors.
A lot of Scandinavians (I’m Norwegian btw) have high percentages of British/Irish in their DNA as well. It could stem back to Viking times, or alternatively, we do all live around the same bit of sea and generations of seamen have been sailing back and forth trading and fishing... Just saying. On a more serious note the English are Germanic as well, even the Normans were originally Danes, so the overlap could simply be that the Dna is too similar to differentiate.
It's so COOL! I have been on a spiritual search for 15+ years.... It has taken me on a journey to conversion to Judaism. I did a DNA test with a different company and found I was 33% Sephardic! Talk about totally awesome...
One of my good friends took the 23andMe test and tested 99% Ashkenazi Jewish, so I squee-ed and joked that we're distant cousins, but I kind of feel that way about everyone in the diaspora... we're all a big, crazy, more-than-slightly-dysfunctional family, connected willy-nilly, and that's kind of a lovely feeling.
That’s actually more specific than you’d think, considering that there are a few more hair types such as curly, coily and kinky/afro textured that don’t apply to her 😊
After spending my life telling people "No" when they asked "Are you Asian?" I got my test results back from 23 and me to discover that I'm 3% Japanese. Had no clue.
Well, be careful! I did both 23 and Me and Ancestry. Turns out my Dad wasn't my birth father. Ancestry found one sister I never knew (still living) -- 23 and me found another. (Sadly, she died from liver cancer before I could meet her). There were two others....a brother and another deceased sister. A wonderful first cousin who looks exactly like me - and we even think the same ways. Some of the traits we share, (NOT having grown up together) -- well, it's remarkable. The story I have uncovered is so detailed and rich that a movie script could never capture what I now know about "me." My dad was 100% Danish (the Dad I grew up with) -- now I'm not Danish at all, but I have new siblings/cousins and a new heritage. They have done their genealogy so I know my lineage for several centuries. Now I know why I was taller than my mother and father - the birth father was tall. I've heard I have his personality from my new cousin. I've heard I have certain traits he had that did not exist in my growing-up family. My sister (the one I grew up with) didn't know her father either. It took Mom a few years to settle down (thankfully, she did). DNA testing shows she was half Ashkenazi Jewish. She hasn't had as much luck as I have finding birth relatives. The Jewish Grandmother wanted nothing to do with her when my mother shared her pregnancy with the Jewish line. (Makes me sad). We have names and location of this Jewish family but she was not wanted in that community. My new birth family has been very open. So -- be careful what you wish for. I never thought, at my age, that I would have to rewrite the history of "me" that I thought I already knew. Previous generations hid these indiscretions. Both birth parents are deceased so I will never meet this birth father -- but I'm glad I found out when I was older so I was strong enough to deal with this discovery. He was a high-ranking USMC at the Pentagon....so there's that, too. And just so you know? You've given us so much pleasure, Amy Farah Fowler! You are a phenomenal actress and pure joy to us! I'm sure our political persuasions are extremely opposite of each other but it's it nice to know that DNA doesn't determine our worldviews -- and our differing worldviews don't have to divide. We share something in common in spite of this difference -- I'm researching my Christian theology deeply. That's so much more important than politics any day! God works in wonderful ways. Blessings to you.
I did my DNA test with "that other DNA testing company" wink wink and they told me that I am 100% Ashkenazi Jewish. I love it! Love being kinda-sorta related to you, Mayim! XO
I just sent off my DNA test a few weeks ago! My father was adopted through a Jewish adoption agency, so I'm kind of expecting a certain result but I can't be sure because it was almost 70 years ago and who knows? Really anxious to see my results. :) Loved the video!
Niso Stannard Oddly enough, my DNA seems to follow the immigration path of my father's adoptive family. So now I'm wondering if I actually got legit DNA results or if they just gave me the results that mostly matched the information I had already entered into the website on my family tree. If the DNA results are legit, then we've got a little Basque in our blood that I'm surprised to see. I think I'll try the other company's DNA test sometime in the next year or so and see what happens.
Lyndi Wittmann In my experience, Ancestry is good at the basic breakdown, but I got differing amounts with 23&me by several percents. I’m 8% Ashkenazi on 23&me. I think the difference in results are in part because in some countries like Germany, the Jewish population had to get German sounding names as they lived there and then migrated elsewhere. You might try taking the 23&me test and compare.
@@marydahm6851 I know my heritage DNA did a good job. I got mine for free from them because they help the adoptees find where they came from. I found out that I am everything except what I was told. My great great grandmother came from Russia. So that explains why I have a love affair with the Russian ballet. But I also found out that I am 10 different ethnicities which makes me be able to have alot of fun trying to figure out things.
@@Lyndiloo give the next company as little information as possible, they have been proven that some of them base it off that and not your true results. twins submitted their dna and got back different profiles. so take it with a grain of salt and good luck. my fingers are crossed for when they give true results.
You are such a joy in every venue I see you. Whether acting or showing the true you. I wish I could afford this test. However, I do have a realistic view of my crazy diversities being 1/4th Sicilian, a bunch of northern European areas and a minor part of Native American. My DNA is all over the globe 💜. I'm very proud.
Mayim, this was so funny that this particular video of yours came up in my feed. I recently discovered through ancestry that I am 52% Ashkenazi Jewish from my biological father who is 100%. I had no idea whatsoever! It has certainly been a topsy turvy couple of months!!
I am a first generation American from primarily Dutch background. I have the genealogy history to prove that none of my family has ever been in North America before my parents came here in 1957. While I know my father has some Indonesian in his background, I was very surprised when I got my DNA results and saw that I am 1% Native American!! 😂 But if you research Native Americans you will find that it is believed they came from Asia, and crossed into what is now Alaska. So, it’s the Asian from my fathers background that keyed into the Native American markers on my DNA.
My DNA test revealed the man I thought was my father (and he thought so too,) was not. Turned out my mother knew all along. I was 50 when I learned this, and all 3 had already passed away. Always be prepared for anything when taking a dna test.
I am 99% Irish and only 1% Iberian, even though my ancestors lived in Argentina for more than 140 years, hispanicising names and adopting the language and culture. Who would believe that? Even after my parents moved to USA we use the surname Pérez.
My brother’s 23 And Me test not only told us that we’re 99.7 percent ashkenazi Jewish, it put us in contact with a long lost cousin that we didn’t know existed.
You are so much fun to watch! Your personality is far better than your character's on tv. (I'm so glad.) I can relate to your Jewish genes. I'm only half Jewish (the good half) but I can't take this kind of a DNA test... because the rest of my family doesn't know we're Jewish. (Long story.) It's funny, we were raised Catholic, but I always knew I was Jewish. (I had my mom buy me a chai (excuse my butchering the hebrew language) when I was 9! And I was allowed to say the "humotsi," prayer over the bread, at dinner instead of the traditional christian grace. No questions asked.)
That's so funny! Why? Well because jews (biological) jews can't mix with anyone else but their own...umm...kind. So you're a liar or you've been lied to. so pathetically ape shit how jews and south asians keep trying to pretend they are one of us. You're not...and the science is clear on that...and will be published round the world.
My dad tested 100% Ashkenazi Jewish. His reaction: "I'm so happy, I never got 100% on anything before in my life", lol.
so much for his 'superior intellect.' lol. I bet the 95% average drove him nuts in school. Thanks for sharing! :)
A happy Pole......wonderful!

Yehudah was one of the Kingdoms of Israel, where the Israelites lived - this dates to a thousand years before Jesus, so I promise you he too was a Yehudi. (Even as they spin their web of lies about being native to the land of the Jews - the "Palestinians" reaffirm this fact - the Arabic for Jew is YAHUD!!!)
he was a prophet of god, the messiah, his prophethood is unquestionable. if the yehudis and what they were following was correct and what god revealed then why was jesus tasked to come to these very people and if he was a jew himself? clearly they were not following gods plan and clearly he was not jewish, he was a prophet of the one god. clearly the jews of the time and the society were wrong and they needed guidance, therefore jesus came. and thats why jews havent been in the holy land for centuries. the very purpose of prophets in the first place. the story of mary and joseph is not accepted by all, many believe mary gave birth by herself (no joseph and no travel) and presented baby jesus to the people as prophet of god when he spoke.
btw the palestinians are the original israelites and more semitic than some 'israelis' and are very much native to the land, thats why god has protected them there for as long as he has-just like he promised
god has alos promised if those israelites who spread terror and force people out of their land and forget the promise they made to god and god made to them, that he would make sure punishmet comes to them. this fact conveniantly gets left out
Yes!!! Beth, yes!!! 🤗
Believe this or not, I met your grandmother in the early 90s in the North Park neighborhood of San Diego. I was a walking in the area, I was a salesman at the time and approached her to make a sale. She spoke of you, at the time you were doing Blossom.

😮 Where are you from with those laws?
One of my brothers used it and found a brother we were never told about. (he was thrilled to have info on our Mother, who has passed) She must have been heart broken to have to give him up for adoption, (70 years ago things were different) He has welcomed us, and the five of us do welcome him.
Most delightful 23andme reaction I’ve ever watched.
I’m still waiting for my result to comeback though. My first attempt of DNA extraction was failed and they send me a free replacement. It’s been 3 months already

That means you're not Jewish.
Jews live in Italy. The origin of ghetto is gheto, or foundry. We were limited to the foundry area in Venice. The first ghetto. Complete with yellow hats and badges. Not something that needed a replay.
@@DJ25Blessed being jew is a relogion, and cmon.... all jews are european there your dnas doesnt exist at all
Not arguing with the comment about Venice, but broadly speaking most Jews in Italy are Sephardic. Most Sephardim did not segregate themselves from non-Jews unless there was a specific reason. My general impression is that Sephardim didn't object as much to mixed marriages as long as the kids were raised Jewish. Also possible is that some of your Sephardic ancestors converted to christianity at some point.
As a comedian once said, “Jews and Italians, same company, different divisions.” Lol
Sounds very civil. lol
Thats adorable!!!!

An Asian look can also come from Lapp ancestry.
You are so precious! I really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing your highs and lows in life with us.
Thanks for sharing I could not stop laughing and smiling when you're saying the results from 23 and me
Well, be careful! The story I have uncovered is so detailed and rich that a movie script could never capture what I now know about "me."
My dad was 100% Danish (the Dad I grew up with) -- now I'm not Danish at all, but I have new siblings/cousins and a new heritage.
Ash W. Unless they are identical twins they’re dna will be different.
Hi Mayim! I am 100% Ashkenazi Jewish, and they even pinned it down to Belarus, Lithuania, and Poland.
I don't care what your DNA test says you are, you will always be Blossom to me. 😘💕🤣
amy to me. = / I think blossom was just before my time. pause and google: yea i was 5 when it ended

@bennysmith dont be mean to blossom , if you don't like her LEAVE
Mayim, this was so funny that this particular video of yours came up in my feed. I recently discovered through ancestry that I am 52% Ashkenazi Jewish from my biological father who is 100%. I had no idea whatsoever! It has certainly been a topsy turvy couple of months!!
I absolutely love this woman who btw still looks 16 !
Thank you for the most entertaining 23andMe video I have ever seen 😁❤👏👏👏👏
I’m 82% Irish, 11 British, 7 % Scandinavian. 100% Western European. No Jewish, but I’m willing to learn.
You are literally so hilarious lol can’t tell you how many times I have laughed while watching your videos
Mayim, you're so hilarious girl !!! I got into such giggles as you were going through everything I couldn't stop. I'm going to check out 23andme.
Nope. My mom's got you beat. She's 100% Ashkenazi. [Don't mind my photo. I'm adopted ;-)]
hahahahahahahahhaa lmao
Conan O'Brien found out he is almost 100% Irish. He was told that meant there is inbreeding in his family. 🤔
I am 99% Irish and only 1% Iberian, even though my ancestors lived in Argentina for more than 140 years, hispanicising names and adopting the language and culture. Who would believe that?
Even after my parents moved to USA we use the surname Pérez.
@CoBas Cash You seem to have no idea what Ashkenazi Jews are and why they are genetically a distinct European group.
@@elhombredeoro955 what the f! Incredible.
