      Big mutations, like those that separate the human races from each other, take thousands upon thousands of years to happen. Small mutations, like those that separate Mongolia from China only take a hundred years or so. Huge outside forces have to happen on DNA, in order for them to make a big change. It's their way of adapting, instead of dying.

    Remember there were lots of Korean women sent to China as a tribute. Also when certain Korean kingdoms fell, the refugees either went to China, Japan or were absorbed by other Korean kingdoms. For example the surname Mok 木 , originated as A Beakje surname but when Beakje fell the people fled to China, now this surname is rare in Korea, but common in China. A couple of Emporers are said to have been from born of Korean mothers. So it's very likely that you have Korean heritage. My Mother is also part Chinese and Indian(from India) from very ancient times, but as far as she is concerned she is full korean.

    Have you wondered why these DNA tests popped up all of a sudden?
    There are a lot of DNA test sites out there now. I think they are gathering information, storing the data and are looking for something while making you think it's a cool thing to find your lineage. My guess is that were are evolving and they want to know who are accelerating in growth.

      What you said is true but you forget that they were Jewish people settled in China many centuries ago, way before the 1930's-1940's second Jewish migration to China....There's also Caucasian DNA in lots of Chinese, especially in North-West China, DNA dating back to 100-50 BCE and beyond. Some speculate that it's the result of the mixing of the descendants of Alexander the Great's army settled in Indo-China and parts (north-west China) of the Han Dynasty. Others say, result of parts of the Roman Empire spreading east clashing/mixing with the north-western part of Qin/Han Chinese Empire .... look it up, pretty interesting on a historical point of view

    • @nikkisadanceingstar
      @nikkisadanceingstar 7 лет назад +4

      Bobbius Shadow That is true, however with the type of testing 23 and me does as well as the current state of dna science they can only look back so far into your DNA history. For example, my mom is .03% Native American, as her daughter I inherit half of that so I am .01% Native American, meaning that my children would then have a percentage into the thousandth percentile which is too isolated and far replaced to show up on a 23and me result. That ancestor of my moms was from the 1700s meaning that the tests can not go back as far as 100AC our DNA can barely tell us an ancestor from the 1500s. That is why all tests don't tell us we're 100% African is due to the fact it was so long ago out DNA has morphed and been split so often that it literally is nonexistent. That is why I say he would have had a European ancestor from the late 1700s, although he could have had others from before, this is the only one that can be proven through his DNA and would be most recent.

      Or the more likely case is that Mikey here in an American Chinese, and many American Chinese people have trace amounts of Caucasian DNA and don't even know it. If you think that European traders in the 17th century (who were only small in number) magically transformed everyone in Asia into 0.5% European then you must believe that literally millions of them interbred and had babies with Chinese women all over China............this isn't historically validated. Sorry, this is your imagination.

  • @Litcott
    @Litcott 7 лет назад +95

    The Silk Road resulted in a fair bit of European and Asian contact. The southern European part makes perfect sense if the Silk Road was involved.
    And you're probably 0% Native American. Native Americans are descended from very early Asian peoples who traveled across the Bering Strait 16,000-11,000 years ago, so modern day Native Americans share some genetic markers with modern Asians. Native American groups that migrated across the strait later on still retain a pretty "Asian appearance", like Inuit people. You could probably tell someone an Inuit is Mongolian and no one would question it if there weren't any clues to indicate otherwise.

    Korea and China had quite a lot of exchange of people for thousands of years. Historically Ancient Chinese dynasties imported many beautiful Korean women throughout different dynasties. It's sad history but was a form of diplomacy. You may argue about their perception of beauty but that is actual recordings of history. Chinese and Koreans should not be fighting against each other under the man made ideologies that are flawed in many ways. We are more like brothers and sisters with shared value, tradition and custom.

      There are tons of Africans who're 100% African. They've studied the DNA of different ethnic groups to find which is the most "pure" and it's groups like the San people (also known as Bushmen). Mitochondrial Eve, everyone's most recent common ancestor, looked like a San so it's very likely that the first humans to evolve looked similar.
      It's also interesting to note that the only humans who're 100% human with no neanderthal admixture are African people (as long as they're not of an ethnic group that migrated out of Africa and then back again). Kind of funny that assholes like Hitler shat all over black people when, in actuality, if you're going to have some crazy purity fetish you should be holding up Africans as the only truly pure humans.

    Hey, I also want to make a note that you might be mixed with Central Asian... So it's not 100% accurate for you to go to Mongolia or whatever country. In Central Asia, like for example there are Uyghurs in China/Kazakhstan/etc. they are basically a mix between Mongolian/Chinese/European/Middle Eastern/etc blood. Idk if you understand what I'm trying to say so I'll give another example. In Latin America, a lot of Latinos are mix between Native American/European blood. If someone who didn't know their ethnicity took a DNA test they might assume, Oh I'm mixed with European blood and go to Europe but forgets about Latin America.

    Thai people originated from South China (it got mxed up soon though since other asians came to siam/thailand pretty much after the first humans ever on now thailands landpart, that included people from india cambodia vietnam and so on),the most part of thais still has chinese roots though more or less. 60% (mentioned in a documentary about the thai volk) has chinese roots, and south chinese are already more dark from skin) Other then that ALL ASIANS were once dark skinned people ,did u ever see pics of koreans from 100+ years ago? They were dark to VERY dark. None of us asians was naturally light skinned for the very most part ,only a very small % of eastern asians had light skinned that did not get dark after few years after theyre born. Although even most thais dont even know that, the thai script was Chinese until 13th century when the first monks from india came and the thais(south chinese) wanted to change theyre usual chinese script into a own script that they took from sanskrit. It isnt taught in thai schools neither do most people know so i dont mind when they think thais are a own ethnicity, were not. Nowadays thailand is a very mixed out of different asian ethnicitys volk (still mainly mxd with chinese,on the other hand but with less % thais have roots from india). So the skintone has nothing to do with any asian ethnicity.

      There are still Thais in Southern China today, they are known as the Dai people (傣族). And yes they migrated south to what is today Laos & Thailand, began mixing with the indigenous Austro-Asiatic speaking Mon and Khmer people.

      @qishi1974 7 лет назад +1

      Don't look at the pictures for that but read historical writings. We were White/cream skin since always for some, darker for some others. All foreigners, from arabs to european coming to Asia, describ us as white, yellow, cream skins ... and for those from the country side, they are descrb like brown orange. Depend your groups, your activity. Farmers were all super dark due to the sun. At the time the first pictures were taken, we were not all as clean as today either, especially people from the country side. Their skin was natural tanned by the sun and dirty. Its same today in the country side of China.
      The Thai indeed come from Yunnan province at the time where it was not yet a part of China. With the Han invasion of this part of land, the Dai fled to avoid being killed, and moved to their new land , Thailand. Technically they are not Chinese, but they came from a land that became part of China.

    • @lordofthebeltsthereturnoft1127
      @lordofthebeltsthereturnoft1127 6 лет назад

      You are so uneducated it hurt. Have you never heard of the Negrito? These were dark skinned people that lived in south east Asia, their DNA still exists significantly in the Philippines and Thailand, this is what gives you the dark skin. The Negrito were not east Asian people, they were another unrelated race and closer to Australoid (which is the same people as Papua New Guinea natives). They inhabited south east Asia until the east Asian people evolved in north eastern China, as the east Asian people spread throughout the land then came down and mostly took over and also interbred with the original Negrito owned lands. This is why in south east Asia the people look somewhat Asian, but also a little different and darker and why in the still untouched region of Papua New Guinea the people are still dark natives with no east Asian mixture yet.
      People with significant Negrito mixture are born tanned and stay tanned, east Asians which lack Negrito mixture tend to be born pale and will stay pale as long as they stay out of the sun. East Asians if they spend time in the sun will tan just like a Mediterranean person, but if they retreat from the sun the skin slowly becomes pale again.
      Sorry but there is a vast genetic difference between you, the IQ and head size and skin complexion all become smaller the more Negrito mixture and the more you go down into south east Asia.
      Even the oldest paintings of Chinese emperors and Japanese show that they were clearly pale people, sorry about this you sad deluded child. You are Negrito mixed, get over it Thai boy.

    I think the European ancestry can be quite easily explained. The Russians in the 16th century expanded east into Siberia. Along the way, a Russian conquistador married an Asian Siberian woman and had kids, their descendants married Mongolians and in turn married with the Chinese. Your broadly East Asian could possibly be Siberians.

      Bryan Did he wear a green hat, and had a pot o gold?
      There's no human on planet earth that's 100% anything, we've been around for who knows how long, humans have been all over the world, we're all connected family if you go far enough back.
      There's two major theories on how humans spread throughout the world.
      1. We evolved into humans in Africa, and started spreading out.
      In that case we're all family no questions asked.
      2. Homo-sapiens all throughout the world evolved into humans around the same time.
      In that case we're probably all still connected, just in our original form before we evolved, and even if that's wrong it'll only take 1 let's say European to turn all of Asia into % European, and the same goes the other way too ofc, 1 European having even just 1 kid with a Japanese would mean that their kids kid(s) would be part European, and their grand kids would be part European, and that goes on forever, it would spread to all Asian families eventually, and if anyone in Asia then had a kid with someone from Africa all African families would eventually be part European, and Asian.
      There have been tons of multi continental rapists, the vikings, khan, etc, tons of people who have traveled from all over the world to other parts, then they get a kid, or multiple with other "races"and a new loop starts.
      And by our lifetime we're all part everything, we're all connected by family however far back you have to go, also 100% Irish? Ireland wasn't around until what the year 400? You think Irish people just came out of thin air? Being Irish just means that you were born in Ireland, and you grew up with their culture, and what you probably mean is that they have the genes of their close ancestors.
