It's a shame that the ruins can't be rebuilt/used, for housing for example.
There be a game like that
Looking forward to this one, enjoyed the original.
I do hope they change that resources are instantly transported to storage, and buildings get built without seeing people move around.
It takes away a level of immersion of seeing your people actually build/maintain their settlement.
I also don't like the current implementation of the bus exploration. Its a resource management game, but the bus requires no people or fuel? I think it'd be a good thing to make the bus consume fuel, so you're incentivized to actually prioritize scavenging certain resources with it in stead of just taking everything blindly and returning later to get the rest at no cost. As well as estimate how far you can/want to explore without running out of fuel.
Additionally there should be a collection timer, where like the more people you bring in the bus the faster you can collect loot at a location. Have players be able to assign X amount of people to the bus like we can with other buildings, that way we have to manage another resource (labor) in stead of having the bus exploration feel very gamey (and boring).
The rest looks great.
So far what I've read from official devoloper statements, is that for EZ2 the people simulation is sacrificed to improve performance.
This basically means, players will put down the buildings and everything will be simulated in the background.
I played the demo and it really put me off. It feels a lot like Anno and I never really enjoyed Anno.
Thank you for playing Endzone 2! 🌱
It is an interesting change from the original. Different types of housing don't make much sense in terms of realism (there is SOME sense, not much), but they do make a lot of sense in terms of gameplay. The first thing I noticed immediately is that, with them, settlements look more organic - we don't have everything separated in neat little blocks, it is more organic and dare I say chaotic. The second one, with the more smaller settlements, later they can be highly specialized. One settlement is food producer, another is all about society and research. At the starting settlement you need a bit of everything, but later, they can morph and specialize. New loot minigame is a nice addition.
The only thing I'd add to this is "Reclamation" - some mechanics that would allow you to restore old world buildings for a specific use, and a sort of "terraforming" parameters that would reclaim the map from the wasteland - a late game goal/mechanic. You know, fertilize the soil, decontaminate regions (transport all radioactive material to the corner of the map and make it a death zone), sow forests, repair roads, finish some milestones...
But, I am glad designers don't just reskin the game but actually make it into something new and take the risk. We saw the same approach with Frostpunk 2. I am glad when designers do that, even when I am not completely sold on the new gameplay mechanics. It is nice to experiment with this and I support designers who have the courage to do so.
Love your vids. Reminds me of a combination of New Cycle and Infection Free Zone
Hope to see more of this!
Bruh how many times is stuff gonna blow up in our face
I can see how if there isn't enough variety in tasks/puzzle in the expeditions, they can feel less immersive (which is the vibe I'm getting, give the feel of scrounging for resources without changing the base nature of the game entirely) and more tedious, given there are apparently ruins you can just drive by click to gather resources.
Thank you, Pravus.
EZ meets Anno it seems. Could be really fun.
Do we know if there is an end game of any kind? EZ1 just kept going and that's not my thing lol.
Glorious
Nice 👍
It's.. an interesting idea, however I feel like the originial's better.
This looks really good so far. I hope they continue adding depth to it. Endonze 1 was my favourite, because it was essentially Banished in a Fallout setting.
*On my way.*
Hello, could you make a Video about finishing Rebel Inc in Battle of Hsupeng Scenario?
Oh? A return to the OG outro? Did inyalee(? How do you spell your name mrs pravus xD) found the lost file?
Do they still plan on updating the first game or is it just dead now?
The tech trees in these games are always so boring. They are basically just linear, compulsory choices.
First comment lesgoooooo finally I've achieved greatness
You're the best pravus btw 😌
