  • Hispanic Heritage Month is an annual celebration in the U.S. that honors the rich history, vibrant culture, and significant contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. It runs from September 15th to October 15th, with those dates marking the anniversaries of independence for several Latin American countries. This month provides a wonderful opportunity to recognize the diverse cultures, traditions, and histories of Hispanic and Latino communities. It’s a time to reflect on their impact across various fields, including arts, science, and of course, food.
In this episode, I want to highlight some of the incredible Hispanic restaurants and small businesses right here in the Bay Area, as well as the amazing people behind them.
I'm Victor, and I was born and raised throughout Oakland and the Bay Area. In Collection Three: “People I've Met", we come back to the Bay to highlight some people that I've met throughout life, as well as through running this series so far. We dig more into the stories about where they're from, what they do, and explore some of the best food the Bay Area has to offer together.
    Restaurants Highlighted:
    • Popoca
    • Macondo Colombia Fusion
    • Clandestina Cocina
    • YoYo Treats
    • Tutuli Coyotas
    • Some taco spots, including Carnitas Carnitas Zamora, Tacos Mamacuca, La Parilla Loca, Tacos Mi Reynita, Tacos Gonzalez, Los Carnalitos, Tacos Al Pastor Puebla, and El Tacostao.
