Hi! New subscriber. YT put you in my mix today. Great railfanning video of the B&O Pittsburgh line. Very well done.
Excellent video! I am impressed by the high quality of your production, I look forward to volume 2!
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed!
I think you've done an excellent job with this video!! Very well narrated and excellent videography!!! Thank you for sharing this!
Thanks very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic overview of Sand Patch. Well shot, produced, and narrated. Give me some good info as I'm heading out there in a week.
thank you, glad you enjoyed! Depending on which end you start at it is quite fun to chase a train up the grade. the locations that i covered so far are the top spots to railfan. look up those locations on google or Bing maps to get an idea where they are located, the directions are spot on with the maps. Hope this helps.
@@AppRailVentures Thanks! I've been perusing google maps along with a number of rail fan sites. Going to be there a Friday afternoon/evening through Saturday mid day. Hoping to get lucky and get a WB in the PM and an EB in the AM to get a chance to chase. Will see how things turn out.
Good luck, and safe travels. The road channel is 160.230, and dispatch is 161.520, daily trains include.

above is the timetable list, it starts at top and then heads west as it goes down, very helpful map for hearing signals.
Thanks so much for including a map of the route and highlighting the towns you used for filming.
I wish most videographers would include information as to where they have set their videos.
Your map made following the progress of your video entertaining. DGBryan
Great video. I like the map that you included here. I've been trying to find maps to be able to put in production like this that I have planned in the future. Again great video.
Yeah I had to create maps from scratch as I couldn't find any legitimate ones. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching!
In the game Train Sim World 2, you can operate some freight through this route from Cumberland to Salisbury. The developer did a good job of creating the exact route and scenery into the game. Pretty cool!
wow and not 2 many dpu units in use,if that route runs along interstate 68 abd route 219 that i used too run in my big truck
Those 83ft cars haul auto parts
The Autoparts Box Cars are 86ft long the Autoracks are 89Ft long
IT call Hyndman (Hi-) the Y is Silent
Correct, the voice over mispronounced it, not much could do about it unfortunately.
When I went 25 years ago I said the same thing one of the locals said you must be one of those Midwest folks. Lol
Nice video and good work on the narration as you didn't talk 24/7 like some other folks do. I'm headed out there in a few weeks and I was wondering, about how many trains roll through there per day? Also, is this the type of area that you can chase trains or do they go too fast?
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! If you intend to take videos of trains, it is kind of hard to catch up to the train at another location unless its going slow or you skip many in between locations. usually, most trains crawl up the grades so possible but when they descend the grade on either side its very hard to keep up. If your just talking photos you can defiantly catch it many times.
Train traffic varies each day and can be quite slow sometimes, a train every few hours. It all really depends on how smooth traffic out of Cumberland and Connellsville is moving.

M-369, M-370, M-421, M-422
