Elvis Live: St Louis MO, 22nd March 1976 - VIDEO

- Hello Everyone!
I spent a little while syncing up this fantastic St Louis footage with the FTD released soundboard audio and thought that you would enjoy it! I sure hope you do!
The whole show wasn't recorded on soundboard so I had to plug a little gap with the Audience recording of the show, and the same goes for the footage, so I plugged some of the larger gaps with HD photos from the show
Any advice please let me know!
I know there are some moments where the video isn't perfectly synced up which is very frustrating, but I hope it's not too bad, I'll try and find some way to resolve that if I can. Also unfortunately a lot of the footage during 'You Gave Me A Mountain' and 'Steamroller Blues' is rather poor but there's nothing I can do about that I'm afraid - Видеоклипы
At the 14 minute mark Elvis bends over and picks up a scarf, smirks and tosses it on the piano, it was MY scarf, and yes, in 2024, I still have it!!!
That's great! I have a scarf from Vegas 71
Te la compro...
My father has a scarf from 74 !!!
my mother was kissed by elvis multiple times and given his scarves. Dude was a G.
Bruce Jackson, elvis's sound engineer in the 70's, basically recorded every single show till the very end .
He passed away several years ago and his wife is in possession of these pristine soundboard recordings. I'm praying that someone who is passionate about these shows, will be able to get them cataloged and released one day.
Thank you for all you do
One of my best friends went to this show . His Aunt & Uncle owned a record store and they got tickets through that connection . He snuck in a cassette recorder and recorded the show . It was your typical bad audience recording but to us kids in 1976 it was a real gem . They said the crowd was nuts and his security personell had a rough night . He came back two months later in May of '76 and did a brief stay at Barnes Hospital for a medical procedure . By the time the word got out he had already returned to Memphis .
We saw him in April or May in San Diego. The day of my first communion, I was seven years old. Same exact suit. We were in the first row and had to wait all night at the Sports Arena a few months earlier to get those tickets because they quickly sold out. I remember as we bought the tickets saying" so are we going to see Elvis now? " My dad said, "We won't see him for a couple months." My mother got two scarves that night. She was an expert at timing when the lulls between girl stampedes occurred from years of Vegas trips. She'd come back from those trips still pumped up with a bunch of Elvis merchandise and my sister and I would have to return to normal bed times and no more fast food every night. One of the scarves my mother gave away to a teenage girl who was crying and hurt because she had been trampled. The other, the one he wiped his sweat with before tossing it down to her, I inherited.
@chilliesn pies sweet memory....thank you for sharing it with us..🌻
What an amazing experience. What year did you see him? How awesome. Thanks for sharing.
@@noahhapa 1976, same as the video, same suit except the pants were different.
WOW, do you still have that scarvs ?
@@tcb1017 It's my most prized possession.
ELVIS I hold YOU in my Heart 🧛 ❤️🌹🇮🇹
how, i mean how, can anyone give Elvis a thumbs down? Makes absolutely no sense! I LOVE Elvis, have since i was 5 back in 1967.My kids LOVE Elvis, my grandkids LOVE Elvis! Damn I miss him!
He is enjoying himself and what a special time for everyone who
had the opportunity to witness his gift and
personality.....🌻
Even suffering and not feeling so good, HE always keeps being the coolest of all time👏🧛🏆🌟❤️
He brought joy in my life when ever I was down. I truly hope God made him a saint up there.
I was there. Loved all my trips to see him, St. Louis, twice, Vegas, Indiana and Chicago, loved everyone of his shows❤
This concert by Elvis in St. Louis took place exactly 45 years ago today on March 22nd 1976! You did a great job on this. Thanks.
It is amazing how much magnetism he has even to this day....
Elvis the King, forever......TCB
As a lifelong fan of the king, I must say that your work putting these videos together, is outstanding. Thank you for your tireless efforts and impeccable work.
Ive lived in st louis most of my life. I was two years old when he played this show. It is awesome to be able see the king in action. Your legacy will live on forever! There will never be another like you! God blessed us with your talent and we miss you everyday! T.c.b.
ELVIS EVER FOREVER ....... GOD BLESS HIM.... INMORTAL
I was there in the 25th row. Stood in line all night long for tickets. Elvis was great.
2021 A very ill man but still going for us all. God bless him.
This is a treat to see as they are rare!
Elvis looks so tired... But still great !!!
He does, and I'm not a massive fan of the show, but when the footage is that good I couldn't resist!
@@joeselvischannel5408 Thank you for that.
@@joeselvischannel5408 Yes , you did a great job... despite any misgivings about 1976 Elvis - it great to restore this piece of history...
St Louis ...March 22nd 1976 has a special place in my heart as it was one of the very first shows I had on video in the early 80s... ( along with Pittsburgh on New Years Eve ).......It wasnt in this great quality though and it is a much better show than it has been given credit for and Yes he does look tired but it was the end of the tour so that's expected...Love seeing it again . ..Thanks for the upload.
He was but as a fan i want to watch it ... this is rare clear video with great sounds, ❤ thank you for sharing Joe Elvis Channel
We will always thank Elvis for giving us his phenomenal powerful presence we will always cherish dearly.
Fantastic Elvis

En esta tierra no abra otro mejor que Elvis Presley
I am greatfull for these concerts so i can watch him in video, instead of just listening to lp records and streaming services. I was born way after his death so never got too see him live! 😔 Even though i am only 20 and Elvis isnt in fashion, i still love his music and his performences!! Thank you for the video!!
Yes, Elvis is in a good fashion today ! Just remember all the songs people are recording now. Remember those Remix songs.. Always on my mind, from Pet Shop Boys or Suspicious Minds. All the performances for Love me Tender or Are You Lonesome Tonight from great female musicians, or on Tv live performances programs, like America Got Talent . They have sing "Can't Help falling in love" in all AGT or world wise ... Yes! Elvis always will be in fashion !
He's ALWAYS in fashion, WAY ahead of EVERYBODY, you can't even see them with a telescope!!!!!!!!
Don't let nobody give you any crap about being an Elvis fan. Thanks to people posting old concerts with or without video, plus reaction channels, Elvis is reaching new generations of fans, keeping his legacy going. You are the future of Elvis fans!
Elvis presley is TIMELESS. He's always in fashion.
Only left wing extremists say otherwise.
He's ICONIC.
March 22, 1976
was the first day they filmed Star Wars in Tunisia.
I think there's something up here - he won't sing his usual loud / powerful - like he has a sore throat. Great tho - he can do no wrong! Great syncing for us all to enjoy!
This is just great!
Fantastic job. Love those March 76 shows.
So nice to see a 1976 version of “Steamroller Blues”...
He commanded his band with the slightest hand gestures. They never miss a beat.
KING ELVIS FOREVER 💗💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕!!!!!
And then he was gone a short 17 months after this concert, August 16, 1977.
WONDERFULL 💜💚💙🤍🧡❤️MAGNIFICENT♥️💜♥️UNIQUE..KING👑👑👑FROM ITALY🇮🇹
The quality of the footage doesn't matter as long as we can see how much Elvis enjoyed being on stage.Thank you!
Right on!!!!!!!
God gave Elvis a unique and very beautiful voice that brings joy, comfort and inspiration to anyone who listens to his songs.
Yes, poor quality is better than no footage at all, but with that being said the quality here is some of the best of what was filmed unofficially during the period.
Awesome, what a priceless reaction to that fan rushing the stage during, You Gave Me a Mountain, oh, I haven't seen everything yet, the opening, MOSTLY (Although it's a lower energy version, I still love it, well, because...it's, ELVIS, but compare this See See Rider to the Rapid City version in 1977, man, Elvis REALLY rose to the televised occasion with a SUPERCHARGED, ENERGETIC and ROCKING version!!!!!!!!) and the Mountain part with the over-excited fan and part of Steamroller!!!!!!!!
He was already showing signs of his eventual deterioration a year and a half latter . so very sad. He also seemed board with is own songs at this point . Beautiful human being !
But his voice was better than ever!
@@RafaelAlivtres i think he sounded weak and tired !
@@candacekesting1786 I agree. Big loss in energy from the Live Album in 1974.
@@candacekesting1786 As much as I LOVE him, I hate to agree but you are right he does sound rundown and tired, but I don't care, I'm a die hard fan and always will be!!

Meu eterno Elvis , continuará vivo em minha memória
And Thank you so much for the wonderful footage of Elvis. You did a great job , Joe
Fantastic video, thank you for upload
Was visivel that Elvis was sick !!! His voice, moviments !!!
Rest in peace.👑⚘️💝
He need a rest , he so I’ll, you can see. To his face and action.. But still doing his best to finished his performance... God bless you...You are now in good hand...
That's what I wanted to say, he's really, really tired and the performance is sluggish at best. The voice is also not at its best, if you compare it to the Cincinnati performance, for example. Still, a commendable effort on his part!
The greatest ever period.Great job on this video and thank you for sharing.I think when The King sang his new song “Hurt” here it said a lot more than anyone knew at the time.RIP EAP.
Maravilha ele estava maravilhoso...🎸🎶🎶🎤♥️🎵🎵🎶🎤🎻🎻🎤🎤🎻🎤🎵♥️🎶⚘♥️🎤⚘🎤⚘🎤🎻🎶⚘🎻

ELVIS LIVES!!!!!!!
WOW THANKS I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS I HAVE ONLY BEEN ABLE TO FIND BITS AND PIECES❤❤❤ VERY MUCH APPRECIATED
Lovely ELVIS ❤️❤️❤️
King forever ✨✨✨👑🌎
Wonderful Video ! EP Forever 💕
I read on a website that Elvis was stopped during You Gave Me a Mountain by a woman who got on stage to kiss Elvis. The audio confirms this. Notice after that that during the oldies where he usually gives out scarves, he doesn't go mingling with the audience. Apparently Elvis said he'd never come back to St. Louis after that incident. And he didnt!
Beathfull elvis forever💖💖
You Done A Fantastic Job Son! Thank You Very Much! 🌞👑🦉🎤⚡
My cousin was in the front row and got a scarf and later gave it to me. This video is absolutely great!!!
Thanks for the great work you done!
Ce concert est bon malgré qu' Elvis a l air fatigué mais comme toujours ils nous donnent tellements. Elvis Presley est éternel et intemporel pour des siecles.
Sounds good to me, I'm not going to crucify you....ANY footage of ELVIS is much appreciated. I LOVE this man!!!
Oustanding job, man! The video is very good indeed, and so the audio! Tks for posting!
Beuatifull ❣️ 🎶✨
Thank you! I’ve been looking for some video from this show and haven’t found any before this. This is my home town, so I love being able to watch and hear this. Now to look for video/audio from the 1970 and 1973 concerts in STL. Thank you!
Genial. Thankil. Forever.😍💖💖
Awesome well done man 🎶
Elvis concert is superb even he sings the same song his massage can reach our soul Elvis weight fat or thin his voice is excellent and he can control the entire band and the orchestra Any way 1976 elvis is at his best in the new year eve concert 100 percent superb entertainment In the year 1977 we fans really don't know actually what happen and elvis health decline a lot sadly he died in Aug 16th 1977
This is amazing xxx
Awesome effort, highly appreciated!
I wish I could travel back in time to met him. R.I.P. 😞♥️🙏
I WAS THERE1 I went with my friend and her brother who was my boyfriend. We had a great time, We were one of the youngest people there. Was glad to be able to see The King in person before he passed away. Brings back memories.
Beautiful! Elvis forever.💖💖💖😔🌹🌹🌹🌹
He will be truly forever missed.I loved watching him in his movies as a child at 6 years old and till this day at (55) still watching the King.Wish he had lived so I would have gotten to see him.Noone will ever replace the man.The Greatest entertainer!
God bless everyone who could see Elvis on stage ! I think this show , Elvis was not in a good voice, something was happening! Sad moment... The only show I see this happening !
great job sir! well done and thank you very much for your hard work on this one. drive home safely. adios 👍🙋♂️
Fascinating video. Sadly, at this point, Elvis was just going through the motions.
perfect way to say it....there was nobody home !! So sad !!
Some really good footage in here, thank you
Unfortunately his voice was giving him trouble on this show and quite hoarse/weak compared to 2 days earlier in North Carolina with a strong voice. His health was in bad shape at this point.
The ķing eternel jumpsuit sublime
Indiscutível um cantor completo

He died August 16 1977 we waited in line for a long time got upper balcony seats luckey to have seen him once.
GREAT, GREAT JOB. YOU NEED A MEDAL, THANKS👍🏼😎
It was said while on the Ed Sullivan show he promised his mother he would sing a gospel song Sullivan said not on my show he replied if I can’t sing gospel I won’t sign anything so they let him sing peace in the valley he open the door for gospel music on tv more them anybody has
//thanks for the information William. i never heard that before, Elvis was a great gospel singer. He Probably doesnt get enough credit for that.
I thought Elvis did a very nice job with "America the Beautiful" . This should be mandatory for all school children to watch. Then maybe This country can get back to our heritage and be The Best Country in the world
Thank you fore such a lovely film of Elvis , You can see the weight gane, But he still gave everything he had in live performances, The greatest entertainer and live vocalist that ever lived, he had the voice range of a opera Singer, how greatly he missed by everyone in the world, he brought so much pleasure to millions all around the world, and the greatest live backing Band and backing singers ever, how we all wished he had lived so much longer, perhaps had the colonel not overworked him so hard, just so he could make as much money as Elvis, Taking 50 per cent of all is earnings and that included the Merchandise souviners as well, I,m shore elvis would have not had to work so hard, a gruelling work schedule especially at vegas, two show,s every night, and even three on weekends if they could fit it in the work schedule, I,m shore God has him singing to the Angels has he had the voice of one, Thank you Mr Presley fore the joy and love you brought to everyone that loved your music, and thank you to the person who uploaded this wonderful video
Maravilhoso.
This makes me so sad... Obviously Elvis was strugling his way through the concert. And even then he was just great. But we know the tragic outcome. Would he have taken better care of himself, who knows we still have him today and what would we have receive from him in the past 44 years. But its an if...
Or what if Elvis hadn't been hurt so much, betrayed or deceived by so many people
@@lillyd2246 ur so right, bur he still was the boss. And Priscilla and Linda said they couldnt bear his selfdestrutive lifestyle. He wasnt aware he was killing himself
Elvis said to Tom Jones that he had never loved anyone as much as his childhood sweetheart. This may be one of the reasons why he made his spiritual quest until the end.
Interesting note: you can see the exact moment in which the photo at 48:00 was taken at 48:07 ;)
Larry Londin incredible on drums especially on PSA 27:00
Poor Elvis was going down hill fast in '76. Looks like he was struggling with some of the songs to get any good tone out :(. So sad to see him in this condition. He needed a much needed rest and get his health back.
