Well I think Elvis at the top of game was in his 68 Comeback, and we are blessed that it was a television program. But this concert also a good one since he was on the brink of death.

Bevor Elvis there was nothing and after Elvis there was nothing again. The Energy and his Charisma cannot be found in other stars. As a Spectator, you can still feel the energy that is shown in this show. Elvis is and will be the king of the stars.

Also Col.Parker as a typical dutchman, he did not like to spend money BUT Larry Geller also feels he should have FILMED many shows of each VEGAS season and of several Tours (likecthis one)...but being sooo thrifty he was, now we only have great private footage...thank God & some great fans who filmed it. On January 10, 1977, I had my 19-birthday, and said to my mom at the time. I have now saved $ 1,200, but that's not enough to fly to the USA and see an Elvis concert. But I know that I will do it. I'm looking forward to it now. My mom, said to that. If you save another 100 DM, then dad I give you the rest. August 16, 1977, I had not yet saved the 1000 DM, it was still missing 400 DM. To date, I was never in the US. Never at Elvis grave. There was always something more important. Car repair, new kitchen. The apartment we had to pay. Today I am seriously ill with heart disease, and is no longer allowed to fly. But deep down in me, I still dream of it. One day, then .........

I was 23 when Elvis came to Birmingham. I had fallen in love with him at the age of 3, the first time he was on Ed Sullivan’s show. I remember sitting on the floor in front of the tv just watching him and smiling and listening to him sing. My mom and dad could not believe it. I am 67 now and I will always be an Elvis fan. My cousin and I were one of the group that got to charge the stage. I was so excited to be that close, that I was in shock. He was in good shape, talked that talk, sang his songs, smiled that sheepish sexy grin and did his awesome sexy moves. He truly put on an awesome concert !!!

I can't believe that I have been an Elvis fan my whole life and before I saw this video I saw 1 from October 76 and this 1 is at the end of 76 that he was that trim and clearheaded. I have seen footage of 75 and 76 were he was very bloated and not himself. I don't know except dieting and maybe cutting back on the prescription meds is what got him in this great shape again but I sure wish he could have kept it up. I do know that in 77 when that tell all book was coming out that his stepbrother explained it that it was like a wing coming off a 747

So lucky if you saw this live , but a big thanks to you for uploading this here for us to see and hear , and spreading the love .

Fantastic, Elvis commands that stage, vocally sublime.
Heart breaking to think this was his last xmas, He looks in fine shape here, he is on his metal, has energy, what on earth happened?
His choice of songs, he poured his our heart out here, makes you wonder did he know something, he was a very private man and never wanted to burden or let anyone know his problems.
I personally think, he was trying to revive himself, his lady friends didnt like his lifestyle apparently, but they sure enjoyed the lifestyle it afforded them.
The man wanted and needed to be loved, unconditional love he craved, sadly he never appeared to find it, he wanted his wife and child back, wasn't to be either. Perhaps a lady of his own age would have been the answer.
This performance shows he still had it, whatever it is, he had it and more .
Never to be surpassed nor equalled .

Unbelievable! Notice that Elvis hit his knees at the end of the performance while giving the hand signal to let his bodyguards know he was leaving the stage! Sadly, something had happened to drain that energy by June. However, this is the best show I have seen of Elvis this late in his career! It gave me joy to see Elvis appear to be having a good time! If only the energy of this performance could have been captured for the CBS special of 77! Thanks for posting!!!

Elvis enjoys and have fun. He seems happy. He is happy. It makes me happy. He suprised me. I didn't know that he could give something like this in that times late 76. Elvis had knowledge and faith about afterlife, still think, 16.8.77 came for suprise to him. But he was ready. One of the most entertainig shows. Many, many thanks Tomek.

I think he was waaay in love with Ginger Alden & brought her along on this short (5 or 6 days) tour. Every show on the tour was excellent , culminating in the outstanding new years eve show in Pittsburgh. Sadly, Elvis was never this great or happy again. It shows how talented he really was right up till the end.

Blazerstephen, your my son's age. He was 14 months old when Elvis died, but he knew how much I loved him. Unfortunately my son died at 17 in a car accident, but when I read what you wrote it just pulled me to read what you had to say. Stay safe Stephen. 🙏

Betty BRIDGES: you knew ELVIS personally? Do tell us your story girl! I bumped into him in Vegas 73', by mistake but I couldn't see him in concert cuz, he was sold out untill 1974. So, when he came to California in 76 at the Anaheim Stadium I went to see him. I was 16, when I bumped into him, so I was too shy to ask for a kiss, and an autograph.

He was so on it it this show!! So awesome to see, energetic, happy, fit loving being on stage and the crowd, vocally on top great!! Just wish it didn’t go downhill after this but this is always a great reminder, of the incredible power Elvis held as a performer right to the very end!!

Crazy Polk Salad, hence Elvis saying Ronnie couldn’t hear himself ! Followed by a beautiful Love Letters. Ending ‘76 Elvis was still in good enough shape to be saved. Such a shame .

He had a genetic condition, enlarged heart.. Based on how bloated he was he couldn't have lasted 2/3 years tops. Even if he ate the best food and no drugs it Wouldnt have mattered, just like his mom who died young. In the first pictures of Gladys in *56 she wasn't forty pounds overweight she was also bloated. I mean, there's no way she'd overeat while Elvis was too skinny. He had his mom's early expiration date.

In 1976 / 77, Elvis still had a lot of strength and also did sports. it's the CBS footage from 1977 where elvis looked sick. otherwise elvis 76/77 was partly still in good shape.

E was so relaxed and just having a good time. When he was relaxed and having a good time he was at the top. It's almost like he knew the end was near. This is awesome footage. Hard to believe he was like this in late 1976 and dead a few months later. He was 100 percent Elvis this night.
