It's nice to hear such a refreshing and vulnerable conversation
One of the things that helped me accept myself was just to focus on others. I'll never be beautiful physically but the compassion, empathy, encouragement and genuine appreciation of others around me have made me a sought-after friend. I'm kind and funny and smart and those attributes will outlast my physical appearance. I've learned that when people call me fat and mock my thinning hair and body shape, those people are damaged. Somehow they've missed the truth that people, every last one, have worth and value apart from their looks.
It's a sad thing when a person says: "To be really honest, I thought my body type here would be ideal". In Finland when we are really honest, we don't worry about what other people think.
Meu Deus!!!! Omfgg my two queens together!!!! I'm shocked!!!😍💞💞💞
this is so great and uplifting to people ❤❤
I’m glad you liked it!!
@@siennahong I don’t understand what the replaces about baby girl come on up to me
Many people in Germany think the same about plastic surgery as Luara's boyfriend did: Having cosmetic surgery can mean that a person has given in to societal pressure or decadent beauty trends. So while Korean society would perceive conforming to beauty standards as something positive and good-mannered, Germans might see it as a sign of weakness and insecurity. That person might be regarded as a victim in the same way as a "fashion-victim". She might be considered superficial, vane and too obsessed with her looks. Many people don't like the "plastic look" of obvious plastic surgery.
It's similar with fashion: you don't want to be considered overdressed or too made-up. Sometimes they'll ask you if you're going to a special occasion if you go out fully or even partly made-up. I know that in e.g. Eastern Europe you're expected to always look your best even when doing errands, going to groceries or meeting with friends, but in Germany, it's really more laid-back, casual and natural. Especially if you live in a working-class area. Yet even in the rich cities, the older generation of rich people would dress in a very understated way. It's considered "bad tone" to show off your wealth in Germany and is often negatively associated with migrants. However, all of that might be changing with the younger generation that is influenced by social media and also has a more diverse cultural background.
This is of course my own opinion and differs from Korean and Japanese beauty ideals, but a subtle tan would make East Asians so beautiful (well, even more beautiful). I hope that at some point a little tanning (indeed, skin should not be burnt) will become fashionable.

hi sis, luaras welcome to korea. Brazil is the hotspot of fashion
I love Brazilian culture. It is amazing. A really rich centre of creativity. Hello from 🇬🇧
You are both beautiful! I don't think that restrictive beauty standards are good for women. It gets quite worrying when it is too intrusive.
Whats her channel?
MDS A LUARA MANO 😭😭
I used to hate getting older, but you should cherish every year you're alive. The alternative is to die young and no one wants that....
By the way, Luara, you have what I would consider a slim nose (I'm 100% serious). A nose hump does not necessarily make a nose "ugly", in fact, you look really cute. Think of Audrey Hepburn. Not every nose has to have a swan-like slope in order to look beautiful, but sadly, that's what plastic surgeons are promoting.
Your conversation has shown that beauty standards vary so much among different cultures and also historic periods that it's not reasonable to try to conform to all of them. Especially not to the extent of risking your health. Every cosmetic surgical intervention is an unnecessary health risk!
He boyfriens sounds like a keeper
Opinion of a brazilian man metters?😅 Well, we generally prefer chubby woman or at least with "more body" and even hate a bit skinny woman, the contrary of Korea...of course, Brazil not is monolitic, and many people of Europe and Asia migrated to here, bring a lot of kinds of woman, but "more body" is the national preference
Korea will win the game 2-1
?
It sounds like it’s soooo unhealthy to live in Korea. God, aside from travels, I would NEVER want to live there
You're only as old as you feel
