The tear mirror is some of the most fun you can have in the game right now. The problem is the multitude of stun decks that are in the ladder, sometimes I'm lucky and evenly matched + Heartbeat remove them but it sucks when they have every floodgate at the same time. I saw Jesse Kotton using Drident against thise decks so that might help.
You don't think the problem may be the deck warping the format to such a degree that people feel the need to run more stun cards? You don't think decks like Tears are maybe the reason cards like DiFi and Soul Drain exist/continue to exist in the first place? Like, I love playing the Tear mirrors, it's been some of the most fun and skill-intensive YGO-ing I have ever had across both the TCG and MD, but it's pretty silly to pretend it isn't the issue, and the problem lies with people trying to tech in options as best they can.
@@chasing_it_all Floodgates only exist to let players that are not interested in getting better at the game win sometimes. While I agree that Tear must be hit to make it fair, I believe every floodgate must be banned.
It's really easy to win when your opponent plays into your shufflers and makes a weird dragostapelia which then plays into hauvenis lmao. You still played it well but your opponent made very questionable choices
Thats why the better players win. If everyone played that well, there wouldnt be people consistently topping. Then it would come down to variance more often
The tear mirros isnt the problem. The problem is i have 1 win against floodgate turbo going second. Planet at 1 makes this deck weak to difi, macro, soul drain, etc... decks.
Healthy? Yesterday, I normal summoned my Sea Horse, summoned Blue Slug, then added the Sea Horse back to hand. Then I proceeded to watch my opponent activate Havnis and go full combo. They had their whole board, I had Sea Slug. Skill issue etc.
The opponent did make a few small mistakes and was punished for it in the end. Lots of small impact interactions, quite enjoyable gameplay.
Getting outmilled and still winning the mirror. Nice one!
I miss Tear format
yeah me too but I have mixed feelings for it lmao
in the beginning it was fun then it became boring playing against the same deck for 6 months

tear mirror is so much fun until the 3rd game. after that my brain just become numb
Has Josh put out a deck list either for MD or TCG?
I don't even know whose turn it is.
Konami a mess around and ban poly to nerf rhongo.

Honestly, only 2 of each name is also really rough on consistency, you open so many go 1st hands of like agido, 2 crows, sulliek, and imperm
I saw how Jesse Kotton used Drident to remove floodgates. I will try doing the same.
Diversity bad, we need all to play the same braindead combo deck
@@rng9214 so true, these monke flip floodgate decks are so diverse and fun, unlike tear
main evenly and heartbeat/duster
Man I miss this in the tcg. Lucky to say I participate in this format. Hope something like this will come again.
same
Truly one of the most skilled formats. Lots of fun playing the mirror.

Me when I dunno the difference between healthy and strong
@@rah9722 at least you tried
@@reirei_tk "full combo" aka, two interaction. Wow. Crazy.
@@claire6452 what are you even trying to say?
it's healthy but very powerful
