I would love to see these types of review videos with cheaper tools/tech and how you can use it in a more practical way
Agreed!
Noted!
+1
@@danielschiffer Great!
Always
There's something about the quality of the light it gives off that definitely works. Bet you can make some pretty slick film burn effects with it too!
oohhhhh that's a cool idea! How are ya bagel boi
@@danielschiffer miss you brother
Dude that’s a great idea, point this at an anamorphic lens and I bet it’s wild!
Getting a studio but only after 2M subs. Another reminder that we can all do more with less. Congrats on everything and I can’t wait to see the new spot build out. 🙌
Appreciate you!
2 mill subs is a lot of subs
1:55 It's caustic lights (when light rays reflected or refracted by a curved surface or object, like when the sunlight illuminates a swimming pool or the calm sea).
Good video Daniel, as always!
I got one of these as a stocking stuffer gift for Christmas and It’s sat in its box the whole time. I’m pretty impressed by this video so I’m actually going to take it out of the box finally!
Photography, videography, and cinematography are pure highly skilled arts. So in the hands of such a person the sunset lamp is worth every penny.
I LOVE YOU DANIEL PLEASE NEVER EVER STOP UPLOADING
You’re my favourite content creator boiii. As a Movie-Production student who loves working with camera I’d like to say that - you’re such a great person to learn from!
Love the lighting you can create with that sunset light. And studio space?! That's awesome. Congrats on that!
Bro you deserve more views and subscribers! All the tutorials you've been sharing have been incredible and easy to digest.
I’ve seen it countless times on TikTok and didn’t think about it so much as I assumed the quality would be subpar and just a trend. Now that I’ve seen the way it looks and it’s use I would be more likely to get one for sure!
I bought that same light for $5 and have a ton of fun with it. I was shocked at how good the quality is for $5.
Right?? I thought it would be flickery or too dim but it's actually really good.
Where did you find it for 5$?
@@ophelieocean Walmart clearance shelf on the endcap in electronics :)
@@photosbyant Five Below stores have tons of these for 5 bucks. They are awesome. Have one in every room! 😎
Absolutely EPIIIIIIIC and beautiful!!!
Great job Daniel! 😊
Congradulations on the new studio, cant wait to see some more awesome videos
I got one for a Christmas present and love it, the lighting and vibes are so nice
The glass IS in fact "refracting" the the light (changing the angle of the rays exiting from the glass based on it's refraction index) And the actual light landing on the cup would be referred to as "surface caustics" technically.
The effects created with the lamp gave your shots some spice. In this case, I don't care about how much it cost, what product it is but how you used it :) and I definitely think you should continue :)
Looks pretty interesting, It'd be cool to see, if you can achieve a moody, high contrast afternoon look for a whole room, maybe with a little bit of haze and multiple of those lights placed behind some blinds.
That seems like a super awesome and simple tool to get more creative shots! Keep making videos!
YOUR THUMBNAIL IS SOO GOOD
That’s rad!!! Super creative use of materials, appreciate you sharing!!
the way u use the lamp def makes it worth it. Excited for the studio space!
Thanks a lot for all your videos ! I don't think we could have created our RUclips Channel without your videos !!
definitely worth it and i can't wait what ideas you will create with it, great video mate.
The light is nice, but your creativity is where the value is. I would think almost any of the small bi- colour lights would work well, especially with those simple gobos. Nicely done. Inspired me to try something with a bi-colour ring light. Thanks.
I've got a couple of these laying around the studio... thanks for some fresh ideas on the "now what?" part!
With your eye, and your skills, I think you could use anything. This is definitely cool.
I got this for Christmas and it's been sitting in my closet. I might need to put it to use.
It's not light creativity it you man it's your creativity how you use it love you bro
other creators: average content with $10,000 equipment
Daniel: Unreal shots with $20 light
Some of my content I suggest gaffer tape is your best friend
@@ShawnShaman I love your videos, wish you uploaded a few more times a week though!
Great use of the sunset lamp. esp. when diffracting the light.... But any light source can be used in creative ways. a candle or a simple flashlight Which I carry around with me so I can light people's faces at night to do portraits.. The new LED pocket flashlights are quite useful & versatile....
every video is much better than the previous one
i love your creativity
I like its, I like it a lot 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 and congrats on the new studio space, can't wait to see the new stuff. All the best for 2022
The shot with the bottle is pretty cool. I think that this light can be useful, but I would use it for close distant things like this shot of bottle
I just purchased one of these, cause i think this could be kinda cool for some projects. Lookin cute with this non existent haircut haha
Nice Video again! I love that u often try something new and show us!
So nice! Thank you for sharing this video and congrats on your new studio! Hope the new environment will bring you more creative ideas!
Thanks!! I hope so too!
I used it to make my background in my videos with this sunset lamp, it's really useful
It's amazing mate love it.
You're the man!! these vids always make me get up and go shoot
Haha love how you came up with tons of photo ideas with a 20$ light!
Awesome review! You gotta try some tests with anamorphic lenses..especially one with gold coating, I bet the flares are wild
Around 4:30 this time of year, my west windows with wood Venetian blinds let in some low parallel sunlight to my living room. It's good for about 20.minutes max.
This, with some fake blinds will give me some serious latitude. Normally I set my light setting to cloudy..with this I may pull way back into the cooler setting.
Yeah I got two of those! there are dope. used it for music videos
I just love how the coffee literally looks like you just got it and it is 6:00 in the morning
Unexpectedly sweet lighting effects *_*
That lamp is a vibe for sure.
Dopest dope I ever smoked, that light color is 🔥
It's that kind of video which tells that you can be creative with alot of things if you want to
What surprised me the most was the lack of flicker from a cheaper light. Cool shots.
That's so cool. Great find.
broooo the last bottle shot was so gooood!
I want one! And hell yes new studio can’t wait!
i had a procedure when i was little that replaced my hands with gimbals
Nice.
Also the first ad after was for the sunset lamp on TikTok.
Thx Buddy... Love your Style... Big up from Austria
Much appreciated!
Love the set up.. thanks sharing. Love your work
I also bought this lamp) thanks for new ideas of using it
Sold. I think this is great for people like me who have a LTK account and need to change it up for clothing shoots indoors when it's cold. I also want to try to use it for video and food!
Thank you Daniel!
Great Video 🙂
Thank you... Daniel i learned from you so much!!
Thank You for posting this ❤❤
In a different life, Daniel would be a surgeon. Those hands are SOO steady. Like, how?
yeeeeessss daniels back!
:D
@@danielschiffer aaaaaaayyyy
Sick videos man, this is one of the dudes from Garnet last night
Creativity at it’s best!
This sunset makes me want a tequila. It’s 7am.
😂
Pretty much usefull for products like exotic drinks or perfums. If you make a video using plants and other stuff, it is going to be dope.
Cool. Ordering it right now
Sweet. Just a normal warm yellow bulb costs about the same. Good value. That canva pro video really helped me a ton though. I impressed a bunch of folks. XD
Great lighting effect to achieve on budget 👍🙌
That light has a nostalgic feeling
I now have more things to do with mine lol bring mood lighting
definitely worth giving a try!
Couple questions for you. I was wondering what type of plug this uses (standard wall plug, usb)? I was also wondering what turn table you're using? I've been wanting to get a turn table for product photography, but with so many choices (and price points), I'm not sure where to start.
Thank you, and nicely done on your video.
Can be use for short films Daniel! You just sold me on this one
the starbucks cup looked like it was animated in 3d. haha, sick stuff
I think the $20 light exceeded it’s purposed in life … sheesh this was good man!
That bottle shot looked 🔥
Ya... based on what you showed, the company should be mailing you a big cheque as they'll be selling a ton more of these. oh... and I just noticed the Amazon link. Clever boy! ;)
i'm starting my own studio as well and i got 2 of these lamps with 2 different colors
If Daniel Schiffer like this ill buy this sunset lamps
Cool...i think I will buy that sunset lamp too. :D
For that price, it's got to be worth having at the ready!
It’s definitely worth it considering how many interesting shots you can do with the lamp that’s only like 20 bucks
Surprisingly cool 😎
Dang! I saw one of those lamps on clearance at walmart for like $7 the other day! Wish I hadn't passed it up after seeing this lol.
This guy made me procrastinate with no remorse lol
greetings from germany
yooooooo dude you are back :)
This guy is crazy 🔥🔥🔥
Awesome! :D Thank you!
Seriously love your content man! Can you like not take so long to push out more content though 😂
Those taquila shots were sick.
I gotta use the chronos more often!
It will be useful specially for beginners...
Nice work!
Thank you! Cheers!
Pretty impressive effect for $20 👍 Thanks for the tips!
Thanks for watching!
wow 😍 I love this
So kool. Defo worth it
Dude, that was killer! Going to need to try it out for some TikToks haha. What base do you use for spinning your products?
how did this not blow up?
Definitely nice for smaller set ups, like products.
My mind goes to reptile portraits. I want to do a macro shot with this light giving some contrast to a snake and leaves.
Like they say, a professional can achieve amazing results not matter what gear they're using. That Starbucks shot was awesome!
The light refraction effects through glass are called “Caustics”.
