Okay dude! 1 hour seriously? but your edit turns out really freaking good! I honestly think yours is better than mine XD I learned a lot just by watching you edit. I believe I should add mone zoom in/out keyframe into my edit cause it will make the vid more dynamic like you did. Thank you for the shoutout Daniel 🙌🏻 Keep it coming with this kind of content 💯
Daniel's seeming lack of hesitation is what impressed me the most - I literally would've spent the hour just looking for songs and still not ended up with one as good as his haha
YES!! I think because Daniel also uses Ep Sound quite a lot he has more confidence, but it's true, you don't need to phaff around - find what you like and get on with it. I def need to do more of this.
I like EJ's ending better. Not necessarily the flower, but the push of the bowl from out of focus into focus. It's more like sitting at an ice cream parlor someplace nice and the guy behind the counter pushes the bowl at you.
“I’m a strong believer that in sequences like this you don’t have to hammer down every single action”. Love that! I try to minimize all the excess in my videos as well
This was fun to watch. Daniel is a wizard as usual, EJ's wafer stick flip was really insane and he made up for the earlier drag with a cool finishing as well.
D's version looked like a promotional video whereas EJ's cut had a vibe that felt like he was a customer who loves the product! Very different vibes! Loved both!
Daniel, dude hats off to you, watching your process hands on is just a pleasure to watch. Thank you for share your amazing talent with us all! you rock brother!
WOW you are a genius! and that's why I follow you, any questions I have for editing I just watch one your videos, and my questions are answered. I did like EJ's ending more, you are right it was way more dramatic and cool the way he tossed the flower on the ice cream.
Watching your videos really inspire me to keep going and to focus on my studies since I'm still 13 so I can reach successful heights! You are amazing at what you do, Keep up the good work!
An amazing new series has begun! Your edit was fire! Not gonna lie, both edits were very good! Liked your transitions more, but I liked Ej’s ending more
This was a great video. I think Ej's finish was strong with the flower. I think that your decision to cut some of the clips was good to keep the attention of the viewer. That was a great decision
This was great! Loved both videos - for this specific edit I liked the tempo/speed and music on Daniel's a little more but both takes were solid - love this new series Daniel and stoked to read everyones comments as well
I need to be editing more so I can learn from my mistakes more to make the process more efficient and smoother. Editing in one hour?! Goals. Just... goals. 🔥🔥🔥
This is amazing. I have epidemic sound too, thanks for the awe tip to add one clip first and then the music to find the right beat of the clips!! Again, brilliant edit and thanks for the step by step run-through as always. You always inspire me so much to learn editing better. Looking forward to your next video already!
I like how EJ’s was really fast and for yours I really liked how you like cut out the person that was handing him the scoop 😅😊 amazing transitions too 😊
What a cool video. I loved elements of both versions which is so cool to see the same footage cut up and presented so differently. I felt Daniels had a better flow, but he's right his ending was a little abrupt and I liked the original ending more. Great job on both though.
Everytime you upload it makes me realize I am not consistent as I used to be, I need to get on your level, but then I know I need to stop comparing myself to others cause that will continue to put me down, but thank you for being so inspiring, been watching you since 10k… crazy, keep it up bud. I’ll get there one day…
This is a great series. I actually did learn a lot by seeing you do the editing and your creative process, and reasoning behind every edit. Looking forward to more of this
Dope series. Cutting out the syrups was genius and yes his flower ending was a better finish. A mix of the two is perfect. Can’t believe you did all this in an hour 🤯
Great series! Keep them coming Daniel! I liked Ej's ending and the flower throw. On Daniel's edit: I enjoyed the vibe and overall pacing. Ej's dragged on a bit too much for me but it was still very well done!
Daniel you're a genius and my daily Inspiration!!! i learnt so much in this video! Your edit was so polished and I loved it. Ej's video was awesome too! Would love to see more of these.
Was so educational to watch your editing. Learnt a lot. I liked the different sound design at the beginning of yours, and as you said EJs version had a more dramatic ending
I liked how you stabilized the shots, your cuts seemed to be more precise and smooth, and I liked the ice cream going down. On his I liked the flower shot and ending, and I liked the earthquake shake when he dropped the condiments on the table. Overall both great!
awesome edit for both of you! i love watching you work because i can see how you think through what you are doing. i would like to see some edits in which the footage might not be as well shot and planned out, just so we can see your process on how you could fix some things in the edit
*Could you make a video showing all the basics and how to maximise efficiency?* For example, just literally plugging in your camera, inserting videos, chucking them on a timeline, cutting them up, adding effects, exporting optimisation for each platform. I think it would be great for new youtubers. Not necessarily ideas, but just so people can follow the process.
WOW! This was incredibly useful as a learning tool. Thanks for doing this, and I am looking forward to your future videos in this series. My biggest take away from this is that I have a long way to go to be proficient with FCP!
Amazing video! Just want to highlight about the flower, its not candy, its a decoration for the cake and it is edible! LOL! Looking forward for more videos!
Cool video man. I have to say Artlist is SO much easier when working for clients. There is no “extra step” or “license clearance” they need to do. They can post on ANY of their social media or television. Even if they have more than one account on a single platform. Some thing which isn’t possible with epidemic sound. So simple, and much more professional. It seems epidemic sound works best if you are only using it for your own personal platforms Not to mention, if you don’t renew your Art subscription, you and your clients still retain all rights to music you’ve already used in projects. That’s the biggest thing, if you do commercial work for someone, you essentially are signed up to epidemic sound, for life, unless you want to deal with your clients getting hit for copyright etc.
Oooo boi I've been looking forward to this series! First instalment was dope, Eijenijam got some epic shots, and I particularly loved the lighting and grading too, very Schiffer-esque Hope my video gets picked up for one of the episodes in this series ! After seeing what you can do with this footage in one hour it'd be crazy to see what you could do with mine! :o
Dear Daniel Schiffer, We would really appreciate it if you would one day decide to give an ediitting/cinematogrpahy course on Udemy or masterclass. Teaching people your skills , giving tips and tricks would be such a blessing. I hope you will think about it. I would definitely pay for that course.
@@ As seen on the right side in this comparison, the clip of EJ's icecream clip has a shakiness to it at the end that the speed ramp accentuates but I agree that EJ's shot of the flower toss and the ending (hero shot) were both really strong. Awesome edits from both editors! I'm taking notes.
Honestly EJ did a really really great Job except for adding extra shots as Daniel said. But it was really awesome and can be sold to a client easily. Daniel also edited it professionally and it honestly looks really well done.
Damn you made it look so professional. I agree it helps a lot that the footage he provided was well lit and pretty well shot (except for the extras in the background lol)
I like how yours is a bit more social media friendly, it's like a legit spec ad you'll see on youtube. For Ej, I love the strong ending and the elegance of how the ice cream was showed.
As an editor, i feel the smoothness in the speed ramps of Daniels edits. EJ's speed ramps is a little bit janky. Its the same concept as when easy ease is applied to keyframes in order to smoothen out the Animation. Same way every editor doing speed ramps should finesse the motion of their speed ramps by using the appropriate values.
Learned so much watching your thought process of editing a b-roll. I liked both videos and agree that they each had different vibes to them. Also 1:18 lol
Okay dude! 1 hour seriously? but your edit turns out really freaking good! I honestly think yours is better than mine XD
I learned a lot just by watching you edit.
I believe I should add mone zoom in/out keyframe into my edit cause it will make the vid more dynamic like you did.
Thank you for the shoutout Daniel 🙌🏻 Keep it coming with this kind of content 💯
Great work dude!!
Good job keep it up!
Great work dude, some awesome shots in there, love both edits =)
tudia, terbaik bro !! proud with you !! good job !
Greattttt shotttt broo keep up anak muda
I really liked EJ’s transition of the wafer sticks coming out of the jar upside-down and rotating to down into the bowl
Same! It completely twisted my brain!
Yeah it was really cool
Yeah that was sick
It was definitely dope ! 🔥
And it’s one of the simplest ones. All he did was rotate the clip and ramp it. Sometimes less is more!
Hahaha!! Same 😂
I like EJ's ending better. Not necessarily the flower, but the push of the bowl from out of focus into focus. It's more like sitting at an ice cream parlor someplace nice and the guy behind the counter pushes the bowl at you.
Agree, it was like there was an ending to the story.
That bowl-throw was epic but i truly loved the composition of Daniel's ending shot
“I’m a strong believer that in sequences like this you don’t have to hammer down every single action”. Love that! I try to minimize all the excess in my videos as well
Is it just me or is Daniel’s process is so entertaining to watch
Daniel…. You’re a wizard… this would have taken me 2 months
Me 2 years XD
Any way, i love you work, Mark 😅
Oh Hi Mark.
I wish I could have Daniel as my personal instructor or video editor. I couldn't have done this at all but I want to learn.
Lol 2months
Congratulations for all the people who got a chance to be in a part of Daniel's channel.
Daniel Keep going
This was fun to watch. Daniel is a wizard as usual, EJ's wafer stick flip was really insane and he made up for the earlier drag with a cool finishing as well.
EJ's ending was excelent but the middle scene made his edit a bit too long. a cross between Daniels and EJ's edit would be near perfect.
Yeah. Who else wishes that Daniel could actually just edit all of your videos?
Me lol 😁
Me asf lol!
D's version looked like a promotional video whereas EJ's cut had a vibe that felt like he was a customer who loves the product! Very different vibes! Loved both!
The first half of Daniels edit with the last half of EJs would look epic.
For me yours is cleaner movements in frame. Short and precise. What I like about his edits was the foreground using. His ending was a spot on!
I CANNOT BELIEVE A MALAYSIAN FILMAKER APPEAR IN DANIEL SCHIFFER VIDEOS!!!! LOVE YOU BRO FROM MY❤❤❤
I learn so much just by watching him edit
Daniel, dude hats off to you, watching your process hands on is just a pleasure to watch. Thank you for share your amazing talent with us all! you rock brother!
Lesgooo dude!! This is so cool!!
I admire the quickness of your creativity! It’s insane!
WOW you are a genius! and that's why I follow you, any questions I have for editing I just watch one your videos, and my questions are answered. I did like EJ's ending more, you are right it was way more dramatic and cool the way he tossed the flower on the ice cream.
The ending from original was nice. Adding that to your edit would of been the cherry on top
Watching your videos really inspire me to keep going and to focus on my studies since I'm still 13 so I can reach successful heights!
You are amazing at what you do, Keep up the good work!
Man just turned amateur looking shots into Awesome B-Roll....Great job Daniel!
An amazing new series has begun! Your edit was fire!
Not gonna lie, both edits were very good! Liked your transitions more, but I liked Ej’s ending more
Glad you enjoyed!!
I think I love Daniel's cut and the music, I love EJ ending too. The two of you did a fantastic job. Daniel you are an inspiration
we could watch you edit for 1 year without getting bored ! keep up the amazing work i really enjoy your content.
First timer watcher pick up more tips & ideas in FCPX than the past three years watching how to tutorials, Cheers Dan.
This was a great video. I think Ej's finish was strong with the flower. I think that your decision to cut some of the clips was good to keep the attention of the viewer. That was a great decision
Wow man, he NAILED that flower throw!
Absolutely love this series, looking forward to seeing more of this content
DAMN DANIEL! BACK AT IT AGAIN WITH THE SICK EDITS!
This was great! Loved both videos - for this specific edit I liked the tempo/speed and music on Daniel's a little more but both takes were solid - love this new series Daniel and stoked to read everyones comments as well
You guys were amazing!! Great job EJ and you daniel, YOU are just MAGNIFICENT!

Daniel had inspired me to start my career on RUclips thanks man ❤️
One hour isn't enough. But you pulled it off...Your skills are unbelievable.
I like how EJ’s was really fast and for yours I really liked how you like cut out the person that was handing him the scoop 😅😊 amazing transitions too 😊

Amazing to watch this genius at work! This shows what hard work, determination, and time can do! Thank you Daniel for being such a great inspiration!
Dope series. Cutting out the syrups was genius and yes his flower ending was a better finish. A mix of the two is perfect. Can’t believe you did all this in an hour 🤯
You are a legit pure GENIUS Daniel! Love the way you make some' basic to AMAZING! Thanks again!
Dude you are a creative genius, these help so much, thank you!
Need Daniel to edit my daily life so it will actually look cool😂. Very excited for this new series, Let’s go!!!
IKR 🤣
Excellent edit and tutorial Daniel. Your work is amazing and I’m a big fan of your channel. Keep up the great work man.
From the perspective of how quickly you did it it's great 👍🔥
Daniel Schiffer you're a monster! Great job man!
Great series! Keep them coming Daniel! I liked Ej's ending and the flower throw. On Daniel's edit: I enjoyed the vibe and overall pacing. Ej's dragged on a bit too much for me but it was still very well done!

Damn bro!!!
Just turned it into a real commercial in an hour
How talented Daniel is 😭❤️
EJ killed it
I love this series!
I loved your version a lot but i also liked the ending of EJ version a lot. Combining these two maybe might work even better.
I liked how you stabilized the shots, your cuts seemed to be more precise and smooth, and I liked the ice cream going down.
On his I liked the flower shot and ending, and I liked the earthquake shake when he dropped the condiments on the table.
Overall both great!
OMG 😱! Very good job Daniel 👍🏻

That was awesome, Daniel -- I enjoyed the simplicity of your edit more. Loving this challenge ✌🏼
You make it look so simple and your given great video to work with, good job on organizing it
You're an inspiration my brov! Love all your videos!
Just found this video series… thanks for sharing your insights and giving us a glimpse into your thought process. Looking forward to the next one!
With the due respect for EJ, your outcome looks coming from another world pal! In one hour?? You're my new freaking hero!
Here you can really learn how to Edit a Video. Nice series 👌 I'm very excited about the next episodes
Loved this series!! Would have been awesome to get to hear your sound design later individually too before the final reveal. Excited for the next one!
Amazing video! Just want to highlight about the flower, its not candy, its a decoration for the cake and it is edible! LOL! Looking forward for more videos!
my pc literally explodes if i do all of this in less than an hour hahaha. Another awesome-perfect video Dani !! learning a lot !
Love this first episode, please keep them coming!
Cool video man.

I thought both edits were done really well - you guys make it look so easy :) - thanks
Oooo boi I've been looking forward to this series! First instalment was dope, Eijenijam got some epic shots, and I particularly loved the lighting and grading too, very Schiffer-esque

Great episode. Love the inside look into your editing process. Learned a lot. Would love to see more.

I would sign up too
PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Wasn't expecting EJ's edit to be as nice as that
Fantastic concept of editing the subscriber's footage! 👏🏻
The LUT that you have is genuinely the best LUT that anyone can ever find
Dope first episode, can’t wait for more
This manz is a genius, I respect the grind that must've happened to get to his level.
Hoping to get there myself one day as well :)
What a great editing! Thanks man!
Honestly EJ did a really really great Job except for adding extra shots as Daniel said. But it was really awesome and can be sold to a client easily. Daniel also edited it professionally and it honestly looks really well done.
pure premium content. we need more of that
Your edit was to the point and was not borrowing. Start,Middle and end was perfect.
Love this. I just want to learn to edit 1/8th as good as you and seeing your workflow helps so much. Keep doing this!
Both your's and EJ's edits are awesome!
Damn you made it look so professional. I agree it helps a lot that the footage he provided was well lit and pretty well shot (except for the extras in the background lol)
Bro love the way you verbalized your thought process. I’m gonna start doing that even when I’m by myself 😂
you are so genius in video editing Daniel :) thank you for sharing your knowledge...God Bless
I like how yours is a bit more social media friendly, it's like a legit spec ad you'll see on youtube. For Ej, I love the strong ending and the elegance of how the ice cream was showed.
consistency, his icecream had purple in 1 and then all yellow in another, so i like your beginning and his ending of the bowl push
I like Daniels cut off some of the scoop shots but ej has the super cool ending with the flower
As always a friggin genius session
As an editor, i feel the smoothness in the speed ramps of Daniels edits. EJ's speed ramps is a little bit janky. Its the same concept as when easy ease is applied to keyframes in order to smoothen out the Animation. Excelent idea to start this kind of video series!🙏📸 Thanks!
We need more of this! Awesome 🙌🏾
Learned so much watching your thought process of editing a b-roll. I liked both videos and agree that they each had different vibes to them.
Also 1:18 lol
I'm really shocked by the way you deal with fcp ! I thought I was good and quick in editing but you just... like how ? Really impressive !
