I am a mid 40s mom with 4 kids, I have no idea why I stumbled upon this video and I can't quit watching it, can an old dog learn new tricks? B roll, the only thing I know is C for Cinnamom roll! LMAO

I think now is the best starting point for some new tricks! Just type "editing tutorial" or "film making tutorial" depending where you wanna start and go for the teacher and teaching style you like! Just try some things and you will easily make progress, even if you have nothingbut your cell phone by your side! :)

I’m the same guy now, I’m raising money for the camera, I have so many ideas in my head, I wish I could implement them quickly. I hope in 10 years I can tell my own, but similar story. It’s warm to think that there are people in the world who live video just like you)
From a editor perspective Noah did a fantastic job without storyblocks! I just didn’t like the transition from knife to fishtank, but Daniel! Having that footage of smoke, lights, etc and the simulated movement added a depth and rounded out Daniel's edit so so nicely. I may have to get a storyblocks subscription now.
From a customer perspective though, I felt after I watched Noah's edit, I retained the brand name of the drink better. Maybe because Noah's edit was simpler, I had more mental bandwidth to actually process the product information. Also that initial title card immediately told me what I was watching before the video started.
So overall, I think Noah wins the bid.

I thought both of the edits were awesome. I like the music selection better on the subscriber's edit, but the color grading and settle use of stock footage made Daniel's edit pop a little more. Combining the two water drop shots into one shot was pretty awesome too. Its pretty cool to see the differences in style though.

honestly: just screw the 1h time limit on this series, as an editor myself I absolutely hate time pressure because the final product is never 100% and you put those videos up for eternity, thinking you could've done x better or found an insanely good workaround for a problem after you finished your edit. I'd always rather enjoy something YOU are happy with and I could learn how to solve footage problems cleverly in post, rather than you'd say "hehe I threw this together in 42 minutes!" where people could think "yeah it looks like 42 minutes...".

I feel like it was missing transitions but the idea with combining the two water shots was absolutely genius
Since you also do color grade your commercials, could you maybe mention which display profile you use on your macbook in order to get quite good color accuracy? Like in the display settings do you set on LCD - wich is default or maybe srbg or rec709? Would be really helpful
