This video was very helpful. I had never done this type of repair to my car and got frustrated when my mechanic said bring it in next week. So watching your video, I jumped right in and did the job myself. Thanks Chris B.
Thanks for making this, i have this same car and have a oil leak on the back of valve cover getting on the exaust and smelling. I understand that these Chryslers were built with a lot of inferior parts.
@@garyk.8674 Thanx for feedback makes me less nervous on messing up my engine lol but taking the kids to school with smokey car is getting out of hand I look like I borrowed the loaner front he movie the mask 😂😂😂 thanx again
some mecanics with pretty productions said we had to put rtv in the cracks on both extremities of the timing chain or it will leak again any truth to that?
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair I got a closer look. I do believe it's leaking out of the back of the valve cover right on top of the exhaust. Thanks for making this video. Once again, you have made it easy and informative for me to do this job at home!
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair is it bad to change the valve cover gasket while the wind is blowing ? I don't have a garage but my spark plugs are soaked.
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair I did it pretty simple with the video and mine was like hard plastic too the only thing that sucked major balls was I broke the pcv valve by overtightening it had to go buy another one but beside that car is working fine and no more smoke cause no oil leakage anymore thanx alot man

@@abramporras7877 Yes it did. Not a hard job at all, if you like working on cars. My old gasket was hard and brittle.

I think my car has a bad gasket. I'm getting a burning oil smell in my car and a little smoke coming through the vents. I'm not really sure.
Paul Bier sounds like it's burning oil, it might be the valve cover gasket!!
