This is the first truck I build. Your video makes it a lot less nervewrecking, so many good tips. The still pictures are a really good idea - the details really stand out. Good stuff - thanks Bob :)
That really does look GOOD! Love the old school look of the Globe Liner. I think by the time I get to mine..... the Beier USM RC-2 installation will be much easier.
I love the tamiya globe liner, i painted mine metal flake purple, but I'm gonna be goin back to the box art. So I'm on the lookout for a set of globe liner decals for finishing off the truck. Awesome video man. Here's a wee tip......box art paint lol 😎👍👍👍
The stripe placement would be great along the bottom body line stopping at the grill on both sides.then I very tiny pinstripe along the top body line going all the way around.the truck would very gorgeous then.look like my old cabover I had when I first started trucking 19 million miles ago.
Hi Bob, looks awesome!!, my Globeliner should be arriving in the next day or so. It will be my Second build and I’m excited for it. Can’t wait to see part 4, congratulations on 10k subscribers!!!!!
@@royboydanny1415 If looking to use a SFR-1 with a euro style truck I have done a couple of videos that might help you. ruclips.net/video/rXieVTHzmWE/видео.html
Seeing how fast it moves kinda makes me want a smaller pinion to slow it down a bit. The speed doesn't quite look scale, and I imagine it is a little twitchy trying to maneuver at low speed.
It looks super great but j think the rig needs a silver stripe on it.i am glad yo see the dash going in to fast. I might have done the same thing myself.
Hi Bob, Thank you for the helpful video.... Around the 1:45 minute mark you mention a marking pen for the panel lines. I'm having trouble finding something like that that does not smear; the "ink" from the two types of pens I had bought just refuse to dry (still wet after 24 hours!) - which just makes a huge mess when the body is touched in the wrong spot. Would you mind telling what kind/brand of pen you use (and its thickness)? Thank you!
Love your builds but that truck sounds like the gear mesh is to tight , I use to race and I use the plastic bag between the pinion and spur gear trick, works like a champ. But I could be wrong nice truck can you do a euro custom truck next like a 8x8 scaina or suck love to see your take on one .
At the end of the day the complete kit including the trailer is around $ 1,000 + ...... Awesome hobby but I'll stick to installing 2 stroke engines on bicycles..... P.S. I think I just found my new hobby !!!!! I love these trucks.... What sound card can be used for this kit
I got mine on the way...!!! What turned upgrade motor would you recommend to achieve slower speed and enough torque to pull a rc4wd lowboy trailer with some load on it ? (With or preferably without penion change)
Been watching this great series for the newb. I have also watched the series on the MFC set up and use AND the Turnigy mod. Can i ask your opinion please? When triggering the MFC functions you have to move the throttle stick crosswise AND the steering stick upwards/downwards. Using the new 10 channel version radio can you avoid this "cross wards action" and use the extra switchs. I could then lock the sticks like a true 2 channel radio? hope i have expalined clearly? I have seen guys with very expensive radio`s with bundles of swithces and channels and none have to mess with "cross travel" sticks. If you only have 4 channels thats fine but if 10 channels can work the MFC fully i would go that route.
I normally set up my radios with the shifting on a 3 position switch so you do not need the left/right on the throttle channel. You can get tricky with a multi channel radio and use the aux channels to operate some of the functions but requires some additional programming.
My name is Dean , i am from Jamaica would it be possible for you to build one for me with the body and ship it to me ? What would be the cost if its possible
After watching your build on the globe liner i am going to give it a go at building it myself thanks Bob for all your tips and idea's

This is a great video series! Also the paint color you chose for this truck is gorgeous. It looks like a real classic rig. 😁
Geez, I got this and the flatbed sealed in my closet for like 3 years. I probably should get a radio and start it....haha. Nice rig Chief
Yes! Get it going!

Hello Conceptionists. Nice car. Nice kit. Oldie but goldie! Beautyfull work and good vids. I like them very much! Greetings from Berlin, Germany!
Thanks for this very informative build series. Love the colour selection 😍😍. Looking forward to part 4
Good!👍👍👍
Like the color. Like I said not my favorite rig but you choice of colors makes a huge difference. Can’t wait to see the hop ups.
I second that, that colour choice has really swayed me towards an American rig over a Euro one.

Great job as always👍🏼, it kinda looks like bruce wilson"s truck "blue collar". At least yours will be around on RUclips a lot longer🥴...Cheers🍻

can open the driver door?
Hey man that's very nice, the colour you is cool. Looking forward for the upgrades.
Can we get it delivered this type of machine here in India.

WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU TURN ONE OF THESE GLOBE LINERS INTO A BJ And The BEAR KENWORTH AERODYNE LIKE THE 80s TV SHOW😀😀🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Can a king hauler day cab fit on the globe liner chassis?
Yes, with minor work (drill & tap some holes). You need the King Hauler cab floor also.
I want 1 truck
Только знаете надо трубы ПОДКАПТИТЬ И СТЕКЛА ИЗМАЗАТЬ КАК РАЗВОДЫ ОТ ДВОРНИКОВ
when u say you remove the stacks for shipping...do you assemble these FOR people?
Yes, sure do. If you have questions my email is in the description.
👍👍👍
Is there any way to adjust it to go even slower?
Many companies make a gear reducer you can add in the driveline.
I got mine on the way...!!! What turned upgrade motor would you recommend to achieve slower speed and enough torque to pull a rc4wd lowboy trailer with some load on it ? (With or preferably without penion change)
If you really want power just go with an 80 turn motor. You do not need to change the pinion or anything else.
Thanks Bob...!!!
