I am glad you did these videos as i just bought this kit last week and have the basic frame and suspension together and I did the metal muffin tray like you did but what i did was take a magic marker and at the edge of each tray i wrote the bag letter when I had to open multiple bags. I was lost as to what radio and battery to use as the instructions do not say until i watched this video so im watching every build video before I proceed cause i know when the electrical part comes up i will be watching over and over lol 🤣 Thank you sir for your channel and keep them coming.
Im just begging my Grand Hauler build. Ive done many RC builds mostly scale crawlers but this is my first semi build and I couldn't have been happier to find your videos extremely informative to the point no BS and fun to watch. While waiting for my kit to arrive over the last week ive watched many of your videos and I have to say your style of teaching and the wealth of knowledge you have in the hobby is impressive and helpful. The only gripe I have is now I need to have a fleet instead of just one after seeing all the cool rigs you've built.
Whinston Knows how we roll ! Rule one, don"t sweat the small stuff.. Rule 2. its all small stuff !! My Boston Terriers have shown me this in my 50 yrs of RC hobby.. My peeps always come first.. Lately, my R.C. crawler has been ignored, because we have two 9 week old Boston terriers !! So Ireally enjoy your vids in my moments of peace !!
Hello Bob, this will be my very 1st time building an R/C Tamiya model truck kit! I am blind, however I used to build before I lost my site. I feel very confident that I will be able to build this kit and I thank you for the videos that you put out even though I can only see a small portion of your videos and I do appreciate them thank you! I look forward to seeing the other 2 videos about this truck.
Excellent Bob!! 👍👍👌 👌Definitive and easy to follow. My Grandson and I will be building his FIRST Tamiya RC Kit, the Grasshopper!! 😊 Of COURSE he wants a Rig, like his Gampy.... but that will have to wait until he gains more experience and confidence. I'm going to him watch THIS Series, because I feel that it best instructs him, in a calm, nice demeanor! Thank you!😉
Bob, I love your videos in a dilemma out of all the haulers, the king, the grand and the night which is the best one to buy appreciate you getting back to me and as I said, love your videos
Getting Ready My father and me to start a truck, I had a few questions on one Truck, I called Bob’s Store Bob not only answered ma question. He is friendly did not rush me of the phone. Prices are the best you we’ll find. Thank you Bob Megan
Hey man I'm not sure if you will ever see this comment but this is going to help me a lot. I'm only 12 years old but I'm really motivated to get allowance for a grand hauler black edition. So me and my dad are going to build on difficult parts otherwise I'll work on it myself watching your videos. Thanks so much🙂👍🙏💪
I do see these are am delighted you find the videos helpful. Take your time and you will have no problems. Email me a picture when you are finished! My email is in the video descriptions.
I would like to give Bob a big shout out!! I have been on the fence on ordering and starting my RC truck hobby. I called and talked with him and went through a list of stuff to get after watching this video on Thursday. Bob was very helpful and eager to help and I had tracking info by the end of Thursday with my purchase. Thanks Bob and keep the great videos and service coming.
I can’t decide between this and 1/16 RC tank. And if semi can’t decide between globe and grand. Seen a really nice flat black globe on IG recently with lower window screen. You might seen it. It’s lowered a bit and really nice.
G'day very good documentary building a Tamiya 1/14 prime mover. I have built one or two previously when I was working in Indonesia and after watching your video I have learnt so much. Thank you. In another video of yours you built a roll back which I am keen on building. would you have any ideas that you could share with me? Im no in Brisbane Australia retired. Thank very much appreciate your efforts.
I really love your videos, I am in the beginning stages of a Tamiya grand hauler. I am ordering some items as well as have some already on hand that I want to upgrade as the build unfolds so I don’t have to go back to take things apart. One question I had for you. I called Tamiya. They confirmed that the cross brace Tree for the frame is the same part number for the grand hauler and the king hauler. I ordered a king hauler metal cross brace kit, as none are listed for the grand hauler. Guys and forums are a mixed bag of saying it works with the King hauler metal cross braces others say it will not. Tamiya confirming on the phone today that the cross brace Plastic tree is the same part number. I feel confident with the order. Have you any input on this?
All the Tamiya kits/tress include 4 crossmembers. The King Hauler uses 3 of these and they Grand Hauler uses all 4. As far as aftermarket I would assume if the kit says it's for a King Hauler it would have 3 crossmembers.
Can you make a video on how to charge that specific battery with that charger? I don’t know why but I’m having a hard time since I don’t know much about batteries. 😅 please!
Hello Bob, I would like to order a complete kit including everything you recommend plus tool kit. Is there any chanse the cascadia will be available again?
80 turn motors do slow down the truck. Generally the kits come with 27 turn motors and higher turn motors mean less speed and more torque. Not exactly linear but a guide. My favorite motor is a 55 turn.
What is the difference between the king and grand hauler? I was looking at a couple truck kits and noticed the king hauler is more then the grand hauler kit .both were unpainted kits
Winston's constant snoring makes this video a instant classic!
While I’m not a novice and have been building R/C cars since the 80’s. I found this video useful having never built the semi before.
I am glad you did these videos as i just bought this kit last week and have the basic frame and suspension together and I did the metal muffin tray like you did but what i did was take a magic marker and at the edge of each tray i wrote the bag letter when I had to open multiple bags. Winston is pretty awesome - except when he chews up a project!! Oh well. can't be perfect.....

Tamiya is the best model rectifier in the world, they are second to no one.
All of there kits have spot on detail!!
Thanks to this video I will be purchasing this kit after I finish my other projects 😂👍
Great video and good to talk to you today. Thank you for your excellent videos!🐾
I just got my grand hauler from you 1 day before this video came out.
I like all your videos and commentary during the builds. Thank You Sir!

The Grand Hauler is the best seller by far. Great truck to start with.
Getting Ready My father and me to start a truck, I had a few questions on one Truck, I called Bob’s Store Bob not only answered ma question. He is friendly did not rush me of the phone. Prices are the best you we’ll find.
Thank you Bob
Megan
A bread pan from the muffin store 🤣😂 Awesome in depth look at the Grand Hauler.👍
This video is very much appreciated. Although I can't buy one now I definitely plan on getting a Grand Hauler in the near future. Thank You Sir.

Awesome
Hello Bob, I would like to order a complete kit including everything you recommend plus tool kit. Is there any chanse the cascadia will be available again?
It's my understanding the Cascadia was discontinued due to licensing. It is possible it's gone forever.
do you know how to build a front hood latches open and two side door open on my grand hauler truck 1/14??
Just asking how much is a Peterbilt style grill kit for this kit?
Shame you cant get the 'All Included' version outside of Japan.
Hiii!, I love your videos and I’m debating buying this kit. I have never built one ever, how long do you think this would take me?
Everyone is different but I would normally estimate about 10 hours for a Grand Hauler plus painting time.
Hi didn't get enough ceramic grease w the truck can I use something else?
Any good white grease works just fine.
Where can a person buy a longer frame to do a frame stretch
Even longer frames look at Semi Joes.
Hii bro what the servos you use for shifting and front wheel steering???
Standard size servos. They do not have to be anything special but I normally like metal gear servos as they do not break as easily.
How would a 80 turn motor work? Super slow?
80 turn motors do slow down the truck. Generally the kits come with 27 turn motors and higher turn motors mean less speed and more torque. Not exactly linear but a guide. My favorite motor is a 55 turn.
What is the difference between the king and grand hauler? I was looking at a couple truck kits and noticed the king hauler is more then the grand hauler kit .both were unpainted kits
I think I discuss that pretty well in this video.
I guess I missed it.i will go back and rewatch the video
is there any 1/16 ones?
Need JIS (Japanese standard) screw drivers
How much would one of these cost?
whats the box size?
💕🔥👌👍
Can you show the screwdriver tip better? I am an old car and truck mechanic so i think you are using the wrong name for the screwdriver tip
its not a phillips tip its a fine point JIS tip by eye looks like a fine #2
@at1inoz ok you might be right as i have never seen any Japanese made tools in my 55 years.
Those are bump stops
Haha, he said "D bag". Lol
Your videos can't be seen your camera is too old or it's too far
dropping a sub for more winston
HA! He does need more airtime :-)
Sorry.... Can YOU help me....
Terrible narration, have some more caffeine. It's more than just a process!!
Hola muy bueno el video, ahora si tengo más claro respecto de seguir las instrucciones y tener las herramientas, pegamentos y otros.
Gracias👍
