That cost is INSANE for how cheaply it's made... Every time you pick it up the whole thing flexes. Smh. The amount that companies extort people anymore is ridiculous.
Looks actually really good and with a bit of handicraft just swap out the chromelook plastic and oversized sign for metal parts to gain some weight on the tractor you'll resolve the traction problem and will even look better!
The size of that trailer is bonkers! I definitely get the price point in relation to hobby grade trucks is okay, but I don't like the toy features on something of this size and total dollar amount. Only 1 drive axle seems like a bad idea, as we saw pretty quickly with how easily it got hung up on easy terrain when it wasn't under load. Engine sounds are an automatic bummer for me and should be left on shelves in the toy aisle with a "Try Me" button. It does look super good going down the road though - can't deny that!
Seems like it needs quite a few upgrades wpl b36 rear axle setup to make it 4wd in the front 2 rear axles add remove the very rear axle and replace it with a steering axle and servo different receiver and remote combo to add another servo to that trailer hitch to make it fully hands free better steering servo for better lock
The hitch is completely electric. Trailer doesn't have legs hence why he had to use his hands to connect it. A regular trailer has legs so if he backs up under a regular trailer it'll work just fine
@@jasonlange8341 what I mean is the piece he had to turn by hand to fully connect the gooseneck to the low boy itself needs a servo so you don't need to turn it by hand the legs on these trailers only get used when the whole trailer is not in use. when loading or unloading the deck sits on the ground
Is this Western Star & lowboy heavy equipment trailer the same scale as any of the Tamiya semi trucks? If so, i wonder if the lowboy would pull behing any of em??? Would love to have the trailer❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥🤠😎😃👍🏻
They are slightly different in scale, but close enough to where it doesn't look too weird. We are planning a video soon with a Tamiya Trailer we have in the shop.

if i would ever get this model i wonder if it. Would handle the 1:16th scale CASE 580 SUPER M or if would break it i think the 580 weights that much if i remember correctly
i have the truck. stright out of the box the alignment was way off.. regreted buying it instantly.. its a piece of crap! way way over priced for the quality. trailer lights no longer work. they broke days after use. exhaust stacks have snapped off after one collision. trailer motor hardly works anymore. its one axle drive. with the 3 axles IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN 3 AXLE DRIVE! ITS A PIECE OF GARBAGE! DONT BUY!

For this kind of money I would simply convert Bruder MACK to WPL drivetrain... well for fraction of this price :D
That would be a sick build!
@naughtyboyrc ppl do it all the time bro! I 3d printed an entire king hauler lol
Always grateful😊fun❤thankyou for the review

Eh, WPL's B36 is a fraction of this but I still like the looks of this.

@@danieljackson443 ok my bad I misunderstood
i second that maybe keep the cab and make some aluminium chassis and put a small engine under the bonnet

Can you use that trailer on one of your tamiya trucks?
Absolutely!
This to me in the Uk is like £600-£700 i built a jjrc q60 and a custom lowboy
That sounds like a sick build!

It can support quite a bit of weight. I know it says up to 11lbs, but it can definitely do more. We may have to rig one up and "break it for science".
@@naughtyboyrc Haha like i said i don't think my 580 weights that much
Seems to be a nice product but the battery size and no metal seems to really let it down epecially for the price
For sure! Some metal/moulded parts would really level up this truck.
is this built for outdoor use or is an indoor model?
It can be ran either way. Just doesn't do well on off-road terrain
@@naughtyboyrc That stinks
Does it have hazard lights?
It has the big one up top, but none alongside the trailer or bottom of the truck.
How much was this
$500 for everything
That's a beautiful model but it ain't right that it's pretty much all plastic 😢 but oh well
I could buy a cen f450 for less and get higher quality 😂

That thing is a joke it would of cost the same to design this junk compared to something halfway decent
Junk turns like crap..... they could of done better
A better steering setup would definitely take this truck to another level.
Not worth any penny lmao.
