My 2002 Yukon XL SLT 5.3. The mounting bracket on the back is totally different, also mine has an electrical connection. The two pumps that Autozone sold me (hydro something and without) neither seem to be compatible……any help would be greatly appreciated! I’m currently stranded….Thanks!

Changing the pump is easy. Try and find the steering pump hoses. They are not available anymore and have to be hand made by the mechanic!

Do you got more info on this? I’m trying to change my power steering pump and where my pressure hose (I believe) screws into the back of the pump is a different fitting than what is on my original pump. Any info would be appreciated.

You could just order from Rock Auto or go to a junk yard. Auto Zone has the lines for $55 🫡

How are ya? I have a 2005 Yukon SLT 5.3L automatic with 218,000 miles. All stock equipped.
Doesn't make any noise of any kind, that's abnormal. Well kept and daily driver.
I drove it out on the highway for 300 miles and when I exited Interstate it was in manual steering mode...stiff to turn like it had no pump at all. And the brakes were not boosted either. It's not the belt or fluids of steering or brakes...all good. No leaks. No codes. No smells. No noises of pump failure. It only does it at low rpms when coming to stop, under 700 rpm. It works fine when above that. And the brakes are unboosted when it does it also, but work.
This is the pump I assume? Remove and replace eh?
Suggestions of what pump brands you had success with? I'm eyeballing the O'Reily $72 special.
    Ok thanks!

Now I'm going to replace my leaking Power Steering unit. The only thing is that even though this can be done it looks like a PITA so I'll buy a NEW Unit not re-manufactured. I'd really hate to do this job again. Pray for my knuckles.

So, your replacement part is incomplete? Why don't you include the hose on the back? Really dumb to have to salvage parts off the old part, in order to use the replacement.
