@TRQ am I able to do this if I jack up the truck and have jack stands? I'm sure it's not recommended I'm sure. But it's cost a grip just to pay a mechanic to do it.
I put this same rack on but it seems to be a little harder to turn right than left I’m still ganna go get it alignment it is off a bit so maybe that could be it
Couldnt you just straiten up the wheels then strap down the steering wheel and remove the rack and pinion and just take the new one line it up with the old one and adjust the tie rod arms to match the position of the old one and install the new one ? Also I heard your suppost to disconnect the battery so you dont possibly set off the air bags ?

Very simple job, did it in about 2 hours. Centering the rack is what took me the longest
