I wonder if he ever had the CVT fluid changed? Every thirty thousand miles CVT fluid and the two yes two filters changed. Also, you cannot hammer in other words drive them very aggressively they do not take abuse well.

I got 2015 Rouge 155k on original CVT no issues

I got lucky I drive a lot my rogue has 199k miles on it and it's still kicking ass.

As mentioned below, Nissan extended the warranty and as far as I remember from the notice, you can get the money you spent back

shouldnt that transmission been covered by their extended warranty? they did a re-release to extend the transmission warranty to 7 years 85k
