Just brought my brand new 2019 Caspian Blue Nissan Rogue SV, and said good bye to my 2009 Pearl White Rogue SL. Really love my new car. It is a blessing.
I bought the base model in January in blue. Right on about the seats...it's a great cruiser. Right on about the engine...a little pokey but I will tell you it gets sneaky fast if you aren't careful. Highway speeds are no problem and I find myself having to hold it back a bit. I bought mine because I'm a musician and needed more room and since I hadn't purchased a new car since 1988 I figured it was time. My car was $27000 as it sat. The salesman asked what I wanted in it. I said an engine, seats, tires and A/C. So this is what I have. It also has proximity sensors around the car and a touch screen panel for the stereo and for use with GPS. I use it to haul me, my equipment, commute to work and travel and I usually gas up once every 2 weeks. Not bad for something this size. Speaking of size, the complaints on cargo room....move the back seats forward as they are adjustable and remove the false floor in the cargo area. There are two panels that can be removed and restacked for different levels and beneath it is a non slip floor. I fit a whole sound system, my guitar rig, a sub woofer, a stage monitor, various bags, cases, stands, lights, 2 guitars and a rolling cart in this thing. I think I'm ok with the room issue. No car is perfect...it just depends on whether it meets your needs. This one meets mine.
Yeah, I merged onto the freeway outside of an army base once and I shit you not, the "flow of traffic" was pushing 90 mph. At night. And it was snowing. I was absolutely fucking terrified. But what do you know, my 2017 Nissan rogue can indeed go 90 mph. I got the absolute fuck out of there, let me tell you.
Thank you. I need to heara different opinion. I just bought this car, hopefully I'll have it in a few days but I love the Nissan line so I'm good with the wait...kinda.

I don’t think I’ve reached 34 a gallon yet but I love the vehicle so far. My only concern is the durability of the CVT. I just had my CVT fluid changed at the dealer. All I can do is change the fluid and Hope for the best. 60 k so far no issues. Miles on yours. ?
I have my second Rogue..2011 and now 2018. The CVT is loud and not as quick with acceleration, as compared to others that I’ve had...Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Mercury, but that doesn’t bother me. I’ve realized that this vehicle comes with standards, that many others consider options! Great vehicle.
The Nissan Rouge is a very good car. I have had it for 3 years and I have an Hour work commute. It has a ton of miles but I am going to sell it and get a new Rouge. If you are looking for a good Crossover THIS IS IT!!!
@@jesicaarndt5003 Actually I am a Nissan product specialist, so I have had to test every vehicle in the lineup, if you are looking for comfort on long road trips the zero gravity seats are the way to go. That being said, the rogue in my opinion is not as comfortable as most other offering in the Nissan Lineup. If you don't require all the features offered in the Rogue, I would say a Murano S actually has more comfortable seats unless you need leather of course.
Just bought the 2018 Rogue Sport SV and I love it so far. Absolutely the most comfy seats ever! Engine power is an issue... I live in the mountains and passing a slow vehicle going uphill is a bit stressful - would have been a deal breaker but the Good outweighed this Bad for me ( I rarely pass other vehicles - unless it's a farm vehicle :-D ). I did feel the CVT trying to make up it's mind. I didn't know about CVT until now. Still love this car compared to all others I test drove and would buy it again.
Thanks for the run down. I previous owned a Nissan and really enjoyed my experience. I sold it after driving it for eight years because I was moving overseas. I am getting ready to move back to the US and I am looking for a car to buy. I really wanted to get back to a Nissan and recently discovered the Rogue. I like what I saw on paper. Thanks to your video I have more confidence that this may be the car for me and need to set up a test drive. Thanks!
They are certainly not the best for reliability but my dads has 113,000 miles on it and is fine, but for $1000 more you can get a rav 4 that will last forever
I have a 17 Rogue in this color! I Love mine, I avg 32 to 35 mpgs. My cousin Bought a 17 Rogue too they actually got 42 MPGs I Saw it on their dash computer, By the way the color is called Monarch Orange
My dream vehicle was to own an SUV. This was 20 years in the making. My Chevy Spark was in an accident and totaled. I decided as a birthday present to myself to take the plunge on a black 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport, and I couldn't be happier. I do miss my Chevy Spark because it was such an economical car when it came to gas but 20 years dreaming about a car was the sweetest birthday present I could give myself.
I'm thinking about getting a 2019 Rogue, and as I'm watching this video, I'm like, I think I know this guy. Then I saw the Jersey plates and I was sure I recognized you. I think you used to be my customer when I worked at Starbucks in PL!?
Hi there from England. I drove a hire one in Northern Cali in 2018. I loved the intorior and space but I have to say I really hated driving it. It wobbled back and forth when putting it in park, the brake "assist" actually made the brakes worse, too grabby/snatchy at low speed and the steering was far to easy of which eliminated all road feel. Hopefully for Nissan's sake it was just the car that I was driving. Interesting fact, the european version is actually called the X-Trail and not the Qashqai of which many people mistakely think. The Qashqai is actually the Rogue Sport, slightly smaller than the regular Rogue/X-Trail.
I am on my 2nd Rogue. I just got the exact car you show except in blue. Have to agree with you on many points. I do love the car. Most of my driving is short run city. My gas mileage isn't great at under 20mpg. I do not like the Nissan Connect. The service has major issues with constantly going out. The seats, ride and appointments are excellent.
I have a few questions as I’m car shopping rn and my drilled down is to Honda crv and this . Crv is priced a bit more but seems like not much bells and whistles? Like for instance, the hatch , the wave your foot in front option on Nissan comes with crv ibHAVE to upgrade to leather package ( dealer told me) more $$. What year does your wife have? Is it worth paying the extra or going with a 2016/17? I’m in the 22,000 range.
So you put the Propilot assist in the ugly category, (no matter how your videos are structured) but then immediately say the vehicle improved from last year with the introduction of propilot?
I went to a Mercedes dealer because they had used cars that I was interested in. A four-year-old SUV for a reasonable price. Me and my family including children tested Toyota RAV-4, Honda CRV and coincidentally Nissan Roque Midnight SV. All with a similar mileage. After a few hours when we had to choose, everyone unanimously agreed that Nissan is the best. Something was wrong with Toyota, and something was wrong with Honda. In general, in my case, it was the super comfortable and quiet ride as well as the good design and layout at the front of the cabin that decided. I did not expect such a choice. This car, despite its flaws, makes an impression and has something about it.
I have a 2018 brand new Rogue S AWD, , , Firts long ride, it would brake hard for no reason. . It showed an error warning in the center display but dealer never found an error code in the computer. . On thwe 3rd visit at the dealer, they kept it until it made the problem. . Thety experimented it after 2 days and they changed all sonar sensors . . But the computer just show the error but no memory code displayed. . Love it except for the slow acceleration in trafic. .
I owned a brand new Rogue last year, for about 5,000 miles. It was ok, but noisy with no power. When it started leaking oil onto the floor in my garage, after only 5,000 miles, I traded it off.
The GAS TANK is on the wrong side!! For safety - as a woman, I like to be able to easily slide into my car seat and lock the door. With the gas tank on the OTHER side, I'd need to run around the car to get in. HATE THAT. I've never had a tank on the passenger side and forget sometimes when I pull into the gas station. That WILL BE a purchasing point on my next vehicle!
I drove a SV and SL for 9 weeks while my Murano was in the shop. The trunk space is really lousy. That's my main gripe. My next one is the anemic engine. I like the CVT, but it needs about 225 horsepower. If they fix those 2 things, I'd buy one.
Small SUV for small people. I'm five foot six and I hit my head every time I get on the driver's side. Did you see this dude tilt his head A LOT in order to get in? It doesn't happen when I get on sedans or larger SUV's. This is perfect for my wife. She's Five feet.
Great video. If I may suggest you get a gimbal stabilizer for your camera to keep the picture from shaking. First 2 minutes and 35 seconds were shaky. Everything else was great.
Uhhh. You need to know what is the segment of the car that you are presenting because the Rogue is in the Medium SUVs segment as: Honda CRV, Nissan Rogue, Toyota Rav4, Volvo XC60, BMW X3, Mercedes GLC, Audi Q5....etc. Now the Small SUVs are: Honda HRV, Nissan Kicks, Toyota CH-R, Volvo XC40, BMW X1 and X2, Mercedes GLA, Audi Q2 and Q3....etc. In conclusion the XC40 is the biggest SUV in the Compact (Small) SUVs Segment. The Rogue is.. maybe the smaller SUV in the Medium SUVs Segment. 5:17
He seems to know better than you do. The rogue is a compact crossover, as are the crv, rav4, etc. The hrv, kicks, chr are subcompact crossovers. Midsize crossovers are the pathfinder, highlander, pilot, and so on. You can easily google that.
Escape falls into the same cat as CRV, Rogue, Rav4. Which the Escape is a much better choice than Rogue, and power to weight ratio 2.0L 245 hp Escape SEL (opt) std. on Titaniun trim.
If you put every button on the steering wheel you are going to have a BIG ASS steering wheel. The 2.5 engine is very big for the car, I have seen a lot of bigger cars with a 2.0. I had a 75 Pontiac trans am with a 6.6 V8 and a 180 hp. A 170 hp is a lot of power for a family car. Remember this is not a RACE Car. also remember the more power you have the more gas you burn. Then you will be complaining about the gas mileage. I had a 2015 Rogue and it was a great and fun car. I had no problem with the CVT and no problem with the HP, it was fast for me.
I agree that there is plenty of power for what you need in this class of vehicle. We have a 2018 Rogue and the only thing I don't like is how the CVT drones when at low speeds. We have 2 sports cars in the family, I'll take one of those when I want a sporty ride but the Rogue is a nice place to be for a comfortable ride.
too much filler talking here, you could have easily made this vid in 5 minutes instead of 18 plus and the same relevant information could have been shown.
I have a Nissan Rogue Select 2015, everything has been fine with this SUV, but something has started to get my attention and it is the fact that when I turn on the fan, only the fan, not the air conditioning, I put the air in position towards my face works only the fan, when I move to the position towards the feet or towards the windshield starts to work the engine or the condenser of the air conditioning, if I leave it at room temperature the windshield starts to cloud the part where it hits the air. My concern is that I would not like during the winter to cold temperatures to have working the condenser of the air conditioning and the heating at the same time, besides the fuel expense I see that it is much higher, it is normal that the air conditioning and heating work at the same time? I asked the dealer about this but they say it's normal, I'm not really convinced and I want to keep asking, could you suggest me where to ask or do you have an idea about this? For your attention, thank you.
Rented one to drive to Florida almost seven hundred mile trip one way it's only got 20.6 miles per gallon although the computer will tell you it is getting 30
What is that interior color called? I can't seem to find it on any of the 2018 cars in orange. I really want one but the lack of power is killing me. I got one for a rental loved everything but the power is pretty horrendous almost unsafe IMO. Edit: Found it Platinum option gives you that interior..
If there is a feature of a car that can take control of the driving and it doesn't work properly, I would say it belongs in your ugly category. Why wouldn't it?
Your bad on the Rouge isn't enough to scare me. I own the Altima and I am pleased the driver side controls and dashboard are very similar so my learning curve will be small. The assist feature sounds hokey. I am a true driver and I assist myself.
Yes why I did not look at either if these vehicles even looking for a small SUV.narrowed my choices down to the CX-5 GT, RAV4 premium, and Escape Titanium ,. I quickly dropped the RAV4 from list, just butt ugly. So it was between the CX'5 and Escape. The Escape won, more bang for the buck and 245 hop twin Scroll Ecobust engine and tieing cap. 3500 lbs. Fuel economy sucks!! In the Escape EPA states 20-27. I am getting 17-24. So 3 Mile's per gallon less city and highway. I do have the on demand 4WD system which comes with the tow package . And this guy is a pocket rocket .Escape 2.0L is super quick on the start and maints that at all levels. Great highway cruiser
These buttons on the left are really stupid in europe version (x-trail) for example awd switch is in the middle between the sit heater buttons and it looks not like just a stupid button it is some kind of a round shifter
Great color, but inlove theolten lava colornon thenmurano even more. instead of an anemic engine upgrade to the murano with 260hp andnis quicker than both the crv turbo and the rogue. Space is not a problrm in the murano that also seats 5.
I think Ugly is one step beyond bad, technically.. We only have a Clint Eastwood Movie as actual reference however but it seems the next in a worsening logical sequence
CVT transmissions do suck that is true. But a weaker engine is a plus in a vehicle with a CVT tranny as fast driving should never be done on them. Drive like an old lady and have them serviced every 20,000 miles.
I was driving this for 2 weeks as a rental car. And I have to say motor and gearbox are terrible. The rest of the car is ok, but definitely not better than GM or Ford! I had the basic seats, and they were not really comfortable...
I have a 2017 Rogue. The rogues engine is very weak and the cut doesn’t help it at all. Sport mode is a joke, makes the car even more whiny. I had an Altima that was a smaller car but more horsepower. But yes it is a comfortable car and looks nice but wouldn’t get it again.
Sorry but I have to disagree with your so called "Good" features. I find the vehicle too lofty of a ride and doesn't handle well and death on center is not good at all. MPG is also bad... I only get combine 25 mpg. LOL
I have the 2018 White premium package with all options. The seats are certainly comfortable. Driving for 4 hours is not taxing on my back at all. The engine is under-powered and I have not yet seen over 29mpg even in ECO on a highway trip. The Pro-Pilot assist is cool to try but feels a little sloppy. I get plenty of storage room especially since the back seats can be moved up. The road noise is barely noticeable and the handling is about what I'd expect. BIG ISSUE FOR ME - The Infotainment system reboots sporadically while driving. I noted this in my survey to Nissan but they never reached out to me to inquire. No recalls for this either. Not that it's a huge deal yet however this is something they MUST know about and could certainly address. I also cannot get the Nissan Connect to work with this vehicle. The App itself is not a great app but it just does not work with my Rogue. Overall I'd give this car a B+
I also have 2017 SV AWD and saw 38.2 mpg on my dash. But I'm not sure how accurate that is. Maybe for a very short downhill drive to achieve that kind of mpg but definitely not the norm.

VLAD THE IMPALER 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏probably one of worst car reviews I seen on UT!
All these comments are reviewing the reviewer. 2 out of 5 stars on the reviews of the review.
Murano does all that too but with more luxury and power
I love your content guys! Your currently my favorite channel. Keep up the amazing work! :)
Thanks dude! Plenty more to come soon! Cheers.

Nothing bad or ugly with Nissan Rouge
What is that interior color called? I can't seem to find it on any of the 2018 cars in orange. I really want one but the lack of power is killing me. I got one for a rental loved everything but the power is pretty horrendous almost unsafe IMO.
Edit: Found it Platinum option gives you that interior..
What about the powertrain noise? I just bought Nissan Rogue S 2018 , and I see that that’s a cons
That’s the CVT
The CVT likes to drone and vibrate the steering wheel at around 1k to 1.5k rpm. Only thing I don't like about it
I've seen three o'Reilly ads before the 5 minute mark... next
We can’t control that.
The midnight edition looks litttt that’s what I have
Informative, but please stop saying "That being said..." unless you give me a dollar each time you do.
If there is a feature of a car that can take control of the driving and it doesn't work properly, I would say it belongs in your ugly category. Why wouldn't it?
I have 2018 SV AWD, panoromic roof and Bose Speaker. I live the Rouge BUT Navigation sucks. I use google play
Your bad on the Rouge isn't enough to scare me. I own the Altima and I am pleased the driver side controls and dashboard are very similar so my learning curve will be small. The assist feature sounds hokey. I am a true driver and I assist myself.
Dosent the the Honda CR-V have a CVT ?
Nissan has best in class cargo room ?
CR-V does have a CVT transmission..
Duh, I know what msrp is , but most competitors like the HondaCRV with a lower msrp do have the power seat option
Destination charge is a crab charge to the public.
Excellent video. Keep it up.
I must have missed this, but is this an (S) (SV) or (SL) ?
SL
We got 38mpg on a 600 mile trip as good as our honda fit
i rented the rogue for 2 weeks . a nice vehicle when your the only one in it . but once you have 4 adults it drags . it be better with a V6 .
Any v4 will drag with 4 adults in it
These buttons on the left are really stupid in europe version (x-trail) for example awd switch is in the middle between the sit heater buttons and it looks not like just a stupid button it is some kind of a round shifter
Rouge>Crv
In your dreams.
Great color, but inlove theolten lava colornon thenmurano even more. instead of an anemic engine upgrade to the murano with 260hp andnis quicker than both the crv turbo and the rogue. Space is not a problrm in the murano that also seats 5.
36K? I think u can easy cut 3k in Nissan dealership .... go when they do special discount !
I think Ugly is one step beyond bad, technically.. We only have a Clint Eastwood Movie as actual reference however but it seems the next in a worsening logical sequence
USB is fast to charge.
Seats don't heat as hot or high in the backrest as other vehicles.
Loose stearing,
Intuitive steering buttons.
it is good to have soft seats for when your transmission falls out ,and you are comfy waiting for the tow truck.
CVT transmissions do suck that is true.
But a weaker engine is a plus in a vehicle with a CVT tranny as fast driving should never be done on them. Drive like an old lady and have them serviced every 20,000 miles.
i loved this
I was driving this for 2 weeks as a rental car. And I have to say motor and gearbox are terrible. The rest of the car is ok, but definitely not better than GM or Ford! I had the basic seats, and they were not really comfortable...
Not better than toyota but no question it's better than ford or gm. Hell, a barbie power wheel is better than a gm.
My family has a Nissan rogue man it's small
My mom just got one
She like it?
I keep my 2018 Tiguan. I drive a rogue and it was crap. And it has a crappy CVT
Great review
I have a 2017 Rogue. The rogues engine is very weak and the cut doesn’t help it at all. Sport mode is a joke, makes the car even more whiny. I had an Altima that was a smaller car but more horsepower. But yes it is a comfortable car and looks nice but wouldn’t get it again.
Get a bloody tripod. The intro and the first 2mins of you standing there talking was nauseating with all the shaking.
Sorry but I have to disagree with your so called "Good" features. I find the vehicle too lofty of a ride and doesn't handle well and death on center is not good at all. MPG is also bad... I only get combine 25 mpg. LOL
Blah, blah, blah, over 8 minutes in and you haven't started the car yet. BOOOORRRIIINNNGGGG.
Is it a X-Trail ?
My only complaint is it doesnt have a digital speedometer. Everything else is perfect.
same!
good "veggie" SUV for reliable price, want more fun? pay*3 more and buy X5 M
You sound like a salesperson for Nissan half the people say Nissan rogue is one of the worst vehicles on the road!
I don’t care for the transmission it likes to hang I almost need to left off the gas just to get it to shift at times I feel, I have a 2016 25k mikes
I think this is a very bumpy rocky ride!
If its not planetary normal, I ain't buyin' :)
this review could have. even condensed to 5 minute so spent 3 minutes on comfortable seats.. could have been said in 15 seconds.
A Tesla can drive by its self
No it cannot
nobody was asking tho....
For the love of christ, get a better camera. Black Friday is in like 3 weeks, buy one. So much blur and softness in the video.
Stop! The good the bad the ugly .
bullshit in funny wrap. VIBRATION. noise. uncomfortable seats!
I have a 2017 sv & just clocked 47.2 mpg
@@veronicaibarra8558 the same! I have a 2017 SV AWD!!! They are great SUVs. 😊
I also have 2017 SV AWD and saw 38.2 mpg on my dash. But I'm not sure how accurate that is. Maybe for a very short downhill drive to achieve that kind of mpg but definitely not the norm.
Good=technology
Bad=sluggish power
Ugly=color
That color is hot son!!!
Honda's are complete garbage, too many transmission failures!
Noisy CVT
I don't find that to be the case.
