I personally think that Puppets and Justice are neck and neck in terms of Merallica's best albums. It's a travesty for Justice to not get mentioned in that conversation, given that it's also one of the greatest metal albums of all time.. Justice maitains the same quality of Puppets and even added a another layer of more complex guitar and playing overall. Either way they're both so close in terms of quality and they both follow the same format. Even though I like those albums the most, Metallica charged their sound/format at the perfect time. They followed that format for 3 albums, which leaves us thinking we want more of that, but one more album in that format would have over stayed it's welcome.

yes, but it's also hard to listen to and the songs drag on a lot.
So obviously, people tend to like Master more, or RtL, or the black album which has better production and tempo.

Puppets is my favorite. But I'd argue Justice was James's peak. The riffs on that album are unbelievable and right after another 🤘

I’ve heard jealous people make negative comments about Lar’s drumming.
In early interviews when Metallica were just making a splash, one never heard Lar’s telling people he wanted to develop into a well rounded drummer so he could get studio work as a paid musician helping other’s make records.
Lar’s only goal was to be the best drummer for his band Metallica.
Most would be sleeping in the fetal position if told they have to fill in for Lar’s

Metallica’s my all-time favorite. My hope is that the next generation has a force ‘this’ powerful to look up to. Seems a bit dramatic to say so, and while I love other music/artists, I absolutely credit Metallica (…and ‘everything’ about them) as a powerful and wholesome portion of my environment, musicianship, personal growth and stability, and upbringing.
    Long live Metallica.

..Back in the day, the genre (thrash metal) wasn't that "popular" with people taking it as too heavy or things as such. But Metallica carried on thru' with their music and today they're doing sold-out stadia shows around the globe (a hard feat for any thrash metal band)🤘.
I ain't saying that they were the first but without them and their music, i don't think that thrash metal would've been that so known or as POPULAR as it is now....I mean, they led the band and their music to next higher level which later on progressed into highest level as possibly could be.
Yeah, band like Venom, Motorhead etc. did play some role on Metallica's music but it's them, the band, Metallica who pursued & popularised the genre which further on evolved into death/black metal (though later on their music turned into hard hitting heavy metal....since Black album).
Pple love 'em and embraced their music with audiences present in their shows were/are of all ages ranging from, let's say pre-teens to old grand-pas of this world 😅.
No matter what or which genres they play, pple including myself just love them.
    Rock on Metallica. 🎼🗣️🎤🥁🎸🎶🤘👍...

...Kicking Mustaine outta Metallica was the Best Best & Best thing that happened in and to Metal world.🤘👍.
Thank you so much, Metallica.....for that act.🤘👍.
And here's a big salute to Mustaine for giving us Megadeth. Such things happened in almost all the bands - firing, auditioning, employing etc. and many of those musicians vanished without trace, with no news of 'em but Dave stood out differently.
Cliff Burton was not only a basist but he was the BAND METALLICA himself. Such was his talent and contribution in his short life on this earth. RIP, Cliff😢.
And I'm yet to find someone, a person who don't/doesn't like, appreciate, respect....in short love James Hetfield, one of my fav rhythm 🎸ists. Lemme know if there's one huh!!!😛
I still remember, me trying to learn and play 🎸 of Seek & Destroy......which happened (after many trials & errors) to be my first ever thrash metal song & music which i could play and i was goddamn proud. Haha😅
    Rock on, Metallica 🎼🗣️🎤🥁🎸🎶🤘👍...

I saw the documentaries…Dave was a timebomb of anger, drugs and violence …even Cliff said he had to go…and they’d rather drop Dave than risk losing Cliff cause they went through too much to get Cliff. But without that rage, and vengeance we wouldn’t have Megadeath 😂

Their peers never came close in popularity because they didn’t write songs as well as them, or their singers were terrible.

Oh Lord what a mess! Any music-doc's without original, or in this case -THE CORRECT band playing the background music is a first 'Warning-Sign' to all.☹ I think I heard some Pink Floyd 'Run Like Hell' at some point. Watched this mostly to filter the facts, but they got it pretty tight and accurate in that department. Shocking to see the deterioating state of Malcolm Dome, who of course, isnt with us anymore, but always was a sound and reliable source on this subject. LIstening to the new cd ,I must say that this band has burned out a long time ago, but gets to keep making music-of no importance or originality whatsoever- to their scores of fans.. I think it was hinted on here, but yes, the band suffered enormously when Cliff died. It was truly him that made them different from the rest of the pack.. R.I.P Cliff

I hate it when people say that... "ONE" was not an "anti-war" song. it is a "reality of war" song. I think most people would agree that if war can be avoided and freedom still be enjoyed by all, that would be preferred. But, most would also agree there are times where war has to happen, and when it does, there is usually death and destruction. The reality of life is that there are things in life that are worth fighting for, and sometimes, worth dying for. "for democracy, any man would give his own begotten son!"

They’re irrelevant now. Stop it. Basically they’ve moved into their Legacy Band era. All their good, relevant, meaningful music is in their past and they are just doing a continuous nostalgia tour now. They cant write anything interesting now and they’re stuck with Lars. Lars just plain sucks and anything “new” they might write is entirely redundant. Plus Lars. And Kirk is redundant as well. Same stuff over and over. The Black Album was their last. It’s been steadily downhill since. Load was ok. Then just suck suck and suck. Plus Lars. F Lars. Lars is the definition of Weak Link. Lars is far more than just a douche. He’s the anchor around the band’s neck. There is legion of grade-school youtuber drummers that embarrass Lars. Be honest about that. Metallica is now on their never ending Play The Hits tour because redundant and F Lars. And that’s ok. They have that legendary 5-album catalog and, except for F Lars, we’re fine hearing nothing but that.
