@Fragile_Human And Barney is also not some newbie, he is working here for quite a while and is a highly trained professional police officer rather than some guard who is here for a week or two and can barrely handle a pistol. Also Black Mesa is like NASA just in Half Life universe, and considering that in NASA guards are equipped with top-quality armors amd weapons so...

To think that Barney was able to do all of this while managing to survive, getting a small group of scientists successfully out of the facility. All while Freeman was busy trying to save the world by killing the Nihilanth. Childhood and nostalgia, man! 1st gen Half Life gold! Classic!

@@ezrafomhar7484 Idk what you mean by this. Barney and Gordon are both in HL2 we know they live. Gordon is placed in stasis till the events of the second game. That's why Eli comments that he hasn't aged a bit. Barney works with the resistance he's like the first person you talk to in the second game. Shephard on the other hand just gets put in stasis indefinitely.

I love the crossover of every playable character in each expansion of half life and that is Gordon Freeman, Adrian Shephard, Barney Calhoun, and Gina Cross
What I like the most about this dlc is that you actually get to see someone escape from black mesa

Imo working in bm is really boring. Eventhough bm is kinda awesome place to work but still boring. You cant go out of bm cant travel cant do anything outside of black mesa because it was in the middle of nowhere and Its boring to only seeing machines, scientists and the security guards, brick wall around you but not beautiful mountain,trees, ocean, animal etc and you are also exposed to radiation risks and so many more. If i were u i wouldnt want to work or live in there. So Dangerous and boring. Sorry bad eng.

It’s probably because they were the most sympathetic. They weren’t scientists trying to play god, or military who are killing their own race, they were just honest men at the wrong place at the wrong time.

I am just saying love and cheers to this content, it brought me so many memories playing this game. I personally really liked this one. next is HL "Uplink" .. and the Opposing Force as my 3rd fav. (the original HL was incredible but i am placing it 4th hehe.)

Black Mesa has a mod ij progress remaking Blue Shift. So far has 2 chapters. Those two are happening before the Cascade and take around 30min to complete. It will be awesome.
