I honestly was enjoying Judgement Day with Edge, it felt like something Edge has done before but also, new to put over guys like Finn or Damien over. Also, i love how they actually looked menacing.
I had an idea similar forever. I always thought there should be a stable of dark gimmicks. Priest, Ripley, Balor, Corbin's lone wolf gimmick, Bray Wyatt then Taker as the manager. They stole half my idea lol.
Edge is fantastic as a heel. Great on the mic, heel tactics down pat, can work a slowed pace in the ring. He could easily come back and slide right back into the leadership role. Idk Rhea goes hey theres no true leadership so I had to make a call, or some sh*t. Definitely wouldnt mind seeing him back with this JD
I definitely loved the judgement day under the leadership of Edge who for all these years trying to be or pretending to be a normal guy has always been a brood/vampire guy like he was in the 90s in the broods and in the Undertaker's ministry of darkness. Edge had green goblin vibes to his character but yeah, once Edge got betrayed and kicked out of the group that he built, the judgement day just became a group of edgy punks and bullies and I just lost my interest.
I was actually really upset when they had to remove Edge from the Judgment Day. I was loving his character change. But it was a blessing in disguise because we got Rhea and Dom Dom. Those two are what made the Judgment Day work after Edge was gone.
I really wanted edge judgment day to work but I'm glad it still working without him though. He just started it and they took it to new heights. Rhea and Dom and priest and Finn just made it amazing now.
Things might not worked out as plan and the decisions at that time seem senseless but it all worked out in the end, Judgement Day has been great without Edge and his plan to push underutilized talented worked
Some times flipping a character or ip on its head can be good, but right now it feels like everyone who took a creative writing class in the past 20 years is doing that. Seems to me the more shocking thing would be to not flip it on its head....
I just felt like the Judgement Day was meant to be for Aleister Black. The theme, the mood and tone with their early Cult like faction. but he got release before they were able to do it so WWE just handed it to Edge instead.
I'm a big fan of Judgment day since Edge's leadership, and yeah I'm also a big fan of Edge. He made Damian and Rhea a megastar. He made JD a dominant group. It's kinda sad that WWE change the JD's direction because WWE wants JD a supernatural group but Edge doesn't approved the idea. So the conclusion was that JD turn on Edge because there's no top babyface available on the show. For now, without Edge. JD is still a dominant group, and Damian Priest is my idol. Thank you Edge for guiding Damian, he's now a WHC.
Horror characters are hard to pull off. But if done well with acting, production, execution, attire etc... they can be awesone and draw people in. This indie mindset that its all about in ring work, believable and relatable characters/storylines is baloney. Bray Wyatt not long ago was outselling all these boring wrestlers. Here's the truth....Edge and the rest of them weren't good enough to pull off horror based gimmicks. Current JD can't work the mic PERIOD. People act like JD got over immediately after Edge left. There was months of WWE forcing them on us when they weren't over. They're like a song that eventually gets stuck in your head because of how often you hear it. Same with them. That and the relationship between Rhea, Dom and the feud with Rey are THE ONLY reasons people started caring.

It's a shame that he left wwe the way he did.he had little time left and he's at aew. Not sure if he'd ever come back for one final run though, unless he's promised a championship. He should have won one
It was so much better at the beginning, they turned it around now with Rhea being amazing, Dominic, unfortunately they've ruined Priest and taken him SO far away from being a credible title contender. But yeah that was waaaay too fast, it would've been sick to see if it played super long term. But seriously, the kind of stuff he's saying with all these ideas, is the reason why so many ideas in WWE have been trash for awhile. You can't have TV writers who don't know anything about wrestling, writing wrestling. Wrestling is a WHOLE different animal, and people that don't get it that are trying to write sitcoms, are going to come up with some awful stuff a lot of the time.
I remember I was SO DISAPPOINTED when they turned on Edge. I loved seeing Edge back in a sinister faction. When they ruined it pre-maturely, I was like “OF COURSE they did!” 🙄
Edges return was a total bummer. He had a great return at the Rumble in 2020, and then Covid shut down everything. Then the two matches with Orton that were duds. Id say his stuff with Seth and Roman was good but everything else about Edges second run was a letdown. Now he's in AEW for that sweet sweet paycheck
I honestly thought Edge was kicked out the group, because after they've won their PPV match, Rhea was rubbing and patting his apps in the ring, and I thought his wife didn't like that, so the next day they came up with a story to have a mutiny against him when Fin joined lol. Because even to be it didn't look right when she touched him. Then she joined the storyline in the "Beef" between them to get her hands on Rhea 😂 But hell maybe I'm wrong, and what Edge said is the official story 🤷🏾
I'm surprised this group is still around because it's such a mess and has no actual identity to it. Their entrance makes you think with the black wings and hooded figures it's supposed to be some gothic group, but it isn't. Whenever someone speaks they sound like any other heel faction that just wants to dominate the place. They have two guys like Dominic and the big head guy who are often treated as jokes. They do comedy sketches with R-Truth. Everything about it screams low midcard and not a real threat but you're supposed to take them seriously. They even still have remnants of Edge in there because of the Alter Bridge theme song. At first it felt like it could've been interesting with Edge as leader and it would've been good for him to do a sort of Devil's Advocate Sean O'Haire role where he's compelling lost/directionless wrestlers to trust in him and do what he suggests even if it causes long-term damage. But nowadays it is pretty much just a group that wears purple/black and that's all you really know.
If he had cooperated we might have gotten a stable of characters like The Fiend and The Demon together. It would have ruled. Instead, we have a lame stable. Thanks Edge.
The Judgement Day needs to have that supernatural element back. Lately, they've seemed like just another faction of people. Make them spooky. You have bisexual Undertaker and the Eradicator, the Terror Twins, and you have The Demon Finn Balor. Send Dom off to be with Santos and send JD anywhere else. We need spooky back in WWE. Undertaker, Kane, Mankind, Boogeyman, The Fiend, Alexa Bliss, etc. Bring back the magic!
Agreed. Have the draft send JD, Mysterio, and RTruth to SmackDown. Best way to split them up. Then bring on Demon Balor, bring in Alexa Bliss and Bo Dallas with a Wyatt/Fiend gimmick. Have Damien lean on the undertaker comparison and start using the Tombstone.
Edge should have gone with Rhea as the single woman together with Priest, Dijak, Mace, Corbin, Black - guys who are the same height with each other. They ne towering over edge. Image the visual for that

He doesn't decide the finish of the match, that would have been vince and Finn was was never going to get that. Had it been Damien he probably would have been allowed to go over Edge
A+ move with the California by Mr. Bungle shirt.
imo the judgement day is holding back balor , need proof watch his prince run in nxt from 2019-2021
They are
It is
It's holding back Priest too. This whole MITB thing feels like a distant memory
@@JoeChillton true
They make that guy. It's not like he has anything else going one.
I really hope I get to see edge, or Adam do the cope open challenge on April 3rd. I have yet to see him in person.
2:43 edge was about to say “he wanted us to” we all know who “he” was 😂😂😂
Imagine if they did played this all out for a year, it would’ve been interesting with Dominik turning on Rey.
“They wanted… they wanted” We know who they is lol
Finn going over at mania would have been the move
Facts
Edge is a very selfish wrestler he doesnt like to put people over
I honestly was enjoying Judgement Day with Edge, it felt like something Edge has done before but also, new to put over guys like Finn or Damien over. Also, i love how they actually looked menacing.
I remember exactly where I was when the betrayal happened to my favorite superstar. My jaw stayed on the ground forever
They don’t understand attire matters also. Finn look goofy af in the long tights and Jordan’s.
The Judgement Day feels equivalent to Epico & Primo 💀
I love the fact he has a Mr. Bungle shirt
I was just checking the comments to see if anyone else was as excited about the California tee as I was
@@DougLinse I did the same thing
I had an idea similar forever. I always thought there should be a stable of dark gimmicks. Priest, Ripley, Balor, Corbin's lone wolf gimmick, Bray Wyatt then Taker as the manager. They stole half my idea lol.
Edge & The Judgement Day are both doing better apart!
Bingo
@@smarkslowplay3512 Just like Tom Cruise & Nicole Kidman! Ha!
Cope should start a new faction with Cole and Hangman and call it “The Adams Family”😁
Da Da Da Dum SNAP* SNAP*
Edge is fantastic as a heel. Great on the mic, heel tactics down pat, can work a slowed pace in the ring. He could easily come back and slide right back into the leadership role. Idk Rhea goes hey theres no true leadership so I had to make a call, or some sh*t. Definitely wouldnt mind seeing him back with this JD
It’s a damn shame they changed him, because he was so cool as a heel with the wings and that new Alter Bridge theme.
The whole purpose for stables is to make use of underutilized talent.
Mr. Bungle shirt. Awesome!
Judgement Day was infinitely better with Edge.
Nah
Man going back to watch old Adam Copeland stuff, he really took advantage of the Hardy’s.
Edge*
Edge really founded this faction and got all of these guys over in the best way for heels. Gotta respect it.
Edge has such a good mind for the business
Do u have full interviews where they're not broken up
I was actually really upset when they had to remove Edge from the Judgment Day. I was loving his character change. But it was a blessing in disguise because we got Rhea and Dom Dom. Those two are what made the Judgment Day work after Edge was gone.
I love how he says all of em are stars except Dom
Originally when edge was in control Dominik wasn’t in TJD until after edge left TJD
I really wanted edge judgment day to work but I'm glad it still working without him though. He just started it and they took it to new heights. Rhea and Dom and priest and Finn just made it amazing now.
Judgement Day now feels those goth kids from South Park
It feels like that mixed with some of BC in with the merchandise appeal too.
Fr... If they show more brutality, I'd like them a lot more but they're just a bunch of emos
The ministry of darkness were just satanists tbf
Is he wearing a Mr. Bungle shirt? Pretty fucking cool.
JD had more supernatural stuff when Edge was in it. They feel more like a general gang nowadays
@richborn6700 yeah it sucks they turn on Edge. If he stays, I think they gonna recruit Tommaso Ciampa
Vince was having some weird ideas
I love how all these wrestlers are like “I knew this was a shit idea but did it anyway”. They’re all geniuses after the fact.
That and the relationship between Rhea, Dom and the feud with Rey are THE ONLY reasons people started caring.
why are you yelling at indie wrestling in a video about edge in wwe? lmao
@@CrowSpaceboy You can't figure out the connection of my message to Indie wrestling and Edge.
That's on you on buddy.
If you watched the video and you read my message, and you still don't understand.....What i said was too complex for you. That's tough.
@@SmoothSportsGaming just last night i was at a indie show where any time a pair of sunglasses was put on, the wrestler's theme started playing. Have you ever actually been to a indie show or do you just get mad about them online
@@CrowSpaceboy Sounds like you're triggered because you like watching indie shows.
*"This indie mindset that its all about in ring work, believable and relatable characters/storylines is baloney"*
Small Vanilla darlings flipping around, hardcore matches, imitating Japanese and Mexican Wrestlers.
So are you denying tha those things are synonymous with indie wrestling?
Is Ring of Honor not an indie show? What about the Original NXT black gold where all the vanilla darlings were doing the same exact things as i mentioned?
A focus on small wrestlers with regular names with little to no gimmick, and storylines grounded in reality....that's not an indie thing?
@@SmoothSportsGaming I love indie shows (and major productions, too! I was in Dallas for Smackdown last month!) for reasons that you claim to also like wrestling: that it's often times a more light hearted, sometimes surreal, sometimes artful affair. That's what I find so weird: You have this notion that all of them, collectively, around this ultra serious ROH chain wrestling Pride Fighting affairs and... they aren't? At all? That hasn't jived with the reality that I am living right now, at this very second. I go to indie shows 2 to 3 times a month, both in my local area and abroad, because I love the stuff that breaks from the hyper-focused "reality" shit. And I just am so sad that there's some promotion out there that was so covered in grime and suplexs that it's ruined the whole medium for you. Not all indie labels are Kill Rock Stars, not all indie promotions are ROH. If that's the only experience you've had with the indie scene, I /implore/ you to go to something local and have a good time. And if something local is what did this to you, please share the name of it so that I can avoid it: I don't need this sort of negativity in my life.
Adam Copeland in the house of black gimme that🔥 (HOB deserves more than what they’ve been given)
Nah, that entrance was surprisingly dope but I get it why he wasn't crazy about it haha
they completely dropped the ball on this group way too early. Edge should've gotten at least around a year with them and building them up. Only reah came out of it great. Bisexual taker needs depth in his moves, fin ballor could've changed his demon king gimmick within the group. Dom is just there really but he works. The name made no sense and still makes no sense. No explanations plus they kept edge's song. horrendous.
I like Finn alot wish he would be given a major role on his own
Had Cody and Randy not got hurt, Edge would probably still be in the WWE due to Judgment Days success.
I hate the betrayal was rushed I understand Cody Randy injured but there were other wrestlers that could of been babyface I really wanted to see edge judgement day the throne and the scale was badass and his gold skull ring
They literally stole Edge’s music and dipped.
The good:
Rhea: Doesn't need Judgement Day
Dom: Fine doing any heel stuff
The bad:
Priest: uncharismatic bore and generic angry bad guy
Balor: Never got a crowd reaction in the last 6 years.
😂😂so true😂😂
@@kid100music3if you play your TV on mute 😂🤡
I liked the judgement day music better when edge says " you think you know me! You never did!"
I still believe wwe missed out big time on bringing back Rated RKO at this time. I’d have shit my pants if I heard that music drop.
It'd be throwback since Orton has had "voices" as his theme since 2009
I remember I was SO DISAPPOINTED when they turned on Edge. I loved seeing Edge back in a sinister faction. When they ruined it pre-maturely, I was like “OF COURSE they did!” 🙄
Edge’s Twitter pic is hilarious 😂
It would’ve worked with more time, especially if Edge was pushed back into the title picture and was able to rub off on the others.
i bet that judgment day stable would’ve been forgotten about if vince was there longer
Why did wwe even care about turning him face, they barely used him to begin with in his whole run back.
The story of legends coming back and playing a cliche villain who isn’t recognized outside nostalgia is boring.
yeah edge's jd was just a knock off brood
I like some SPN gimmicks, but I understand the trepidation.
I like it a lot more now then with edge tbh...but it's far from perfect, so maybe if Edge lets them win the feud it would've helped
I wonder what would JD be like if Edge was still around.
Edge probably stayed in the WWE
Considering Edge's history with women in the industry if I was his wife I would come back to watch him too
I feel like JD and Fin really have nothing in judgment day they're just there as back up for Dom, Priest, and Ripley
He literally hand picked them . They actually give edge his flowers. Off camera.
judgment day might be done after mania 40
What’s Spinal Tap? [>
Hell no
@Taurean_Black Great counter argument. Thanks for adding so much to the conversation!
This was the last of the Vince Era
Edge should have gone with Rhea as the single woman together with Priest, Dijak, Mace, Corbin, Black - guys who are the same height with each other. They ne towering over edge. Image the visual for that
The New Brood Judgement Day was better than the emo shit we got. Dark Edge and Damian Priest made it work but then WWE fucked it up, as they always do.
I like the current version better, Edge version would’ve had them as some devil worshipping weirdos
Started the judgement put finn, damian and rhea over doing that. Also put over roman reigns, seth rollins and he put over Austin theroy a guy that's like half his age, he let beat him in his hometown for a title. 🔥 from edge
The Judgement Day stable really saved Rhea, Damien, Finn, & Dominik's careers.
I’m surprised GAYEW didn’t put a contract stipulation when he signed with that company, to bar him from mentioning or talking about anything before he got the traditional “we wish you the best in your future endeavours”. He’s a contracted GAYEW talent, talking about a faction and current roster from his previous employer…. That Tony Khan smokes shake weed ISTG
I wish this wouldve last longer didnt know if Cody wouldve be heathy then Edge heel would be epic
