And like a week after he was dumped by Judgement Day, Vince was given the boot, and they became more serious and no more spooky stuff
Not a week, but like a month later.
Honestly, the purple and black wings with the new Alter Bridge theme made for a seriously cool version of Edge. It's nice the Judgement Day got to keep it and capitalize on it but it felt, primarily, like a sick version of Edge to me.
True dat
Now Dom and Rhea are injured 😢 speedy recovery for both of them
We still have JD McDonut
Damn! I don't have hulu or peacock atm and am over a month behind. Sucks to hear!
@@TheAustinKendall and now they have a new enemy!
Not only Rhea and dom got hurt but mcdonagh got punched in the face by Super Bowl brass knuckles Logan Paul used from a Super Bowl player
@@EliLikesIceCream the reaction on tjd 🤣
I still remember hating it back then, cause it felt too soon. Thankfully, JD picked themselves back up, and became stronger as a group.
Agreed, JD has really been carrying the group
@@Jonathan-om1wq wait what???🤣🤣🤣
@@Jonathan-om1wqyeah, having JD (McDonagh) in JD (Judgment Day)… man, I’m gonna need a few JDs (Jack Daniel’s) to get my head around all this
@@CoffeeMatt10 where I'm from JD stands for Juicy D*ck
@@Jonathan-om1wqjd the jobber who is not even a real member
Chris is really great with the questions.
Edge so goated.
He can look at it this way. Since Edge left Priest became WWE heavyweight Champion and the Team is one of the best Teams in WWE right now.
Honestly it turned out to be better without Edge. Balor was languishing & had nothing to do & this breathed new life into his character. Dominik is the real soul of the Judgment day & it is what made him too. Dominik's presence has helped Rhea the most & got her over. She's now the most popular person in that group. Damien under Edge would have just been a disciple but in this Judgement Day is a badass killer similar to what Batista was in Evolution. He's now the World Heavyweight Champion. This group has been a massive success, much more than anybody would have ever imagined.
Disagree on the Rhea part, she was already over before she was even in the judgment day. Sure it launched that popularity sky high but to say it got her over is just wrong
@@IcyTorments I remember really well when at the time the JD was formed, everyone wanted Rhea to be a part of it because she was doing nothing significant for quite some time. She might be liked but she wasn't all that popular. Now I would say she's usurped even Becky Lynch. Or maybe it was just with me who knows.
@@IcyTormentsher being featured weekly with more known wrestlers in Finn balor and even Dom at the time most definitely helped her get over. Judgement day were frequently the highlight of raw segments wise, without them she wouldn't have gotten that amount of exposure
@@1KQ_yea sure but she’s also been the most over of the group since Edge departed. She helped the group get over as much if not more than it helped get her over
I still think the removal of edge could’ve been done better.
If Edge shaves his head, he will literally become HHH's twin brother.
Feel like Judgment Day kicking him out was for the better considering if they didn't then it msy have been too similar to the Sami Bloodline stuff with a plan seemingly being a 1v1 match then over time teasing some sort of break up with less comedic moments. That and it may have been impossible for him to get booed although now I'm honestly interested in what a Judgment Day run would've looked like with Edge still in the group and then Dom
This part of the interview explains even more why building new stars is important. Had WWE focused more on building up say Ziggler, Ali, Owens, or even Kofi, Judgement Day could have continued with Edge even today.
Owens has literally main evented two WrestleMania and have been part of every important feuds saying he ain't a star is coping.. Ziggler was always a star he always could go from lower carder to mainevent scene in blink of an eye, Ali had strings of bad luck and he wanted to be out, WWE did him favour by releasing him as he is doing much better in TNA, and Judgement Day became more better after Edge was removed, they were basically the top heels Faction of raw for a year lol. WWE 2022-2024 have created more stars so much that even with prominent names out of picture they aren't lack star power.
Interesting to hear. I thought maybe it was the play all along, for them to turn on Edge and take over. That angle is really what got the ball rolling with them IMO. The old vet trying to form a group, the group failing, and the young people forcefully taking control because they the older guy was holding them back and they were done with sitting back in respect (no offense to Edge the legend).
I do think Edge’s heel turn hurt the match with AJ Styles at WrestleMania 38. I agree with Edge that AJ should have won that match and then Edge could have turned heel after that to start the Judgement Day storyline.
And also Finn should have defended the US title against Priest at WrestleMania 38 and with Priest losing the match made him to join Judgement Day.
Judgement day really went from a staple I thought was nothing special, kinda lame, and would be forgotten with time to something I lowkey really enjoy now
Edge who win fight Wrestlemania 41 Diego Ramirez or Dominik Mysterio Edge we need you WWE Edge need help Diego to win please Edge Bad Bunny
Was really upset that we were robbed of one last final heel run with Edge; unlike most people who return and coast on their nostalgia, Edge at least put in the effort of trying something new.
After JD, he just reverted back to a face legend who spun his wheels until his departure.
I wish Edge would of still been In the Judgement Day
If only Cody and Randy never got hurt... It would've been so interesting to see how Edge, Damian and Rhea would've worked together with Finn Bálor 😢.
Judgment Day Edge felt like a final boss (unlike the Rock), his entrance at Wrestlemania proved this.
I'm sure the character would've been epic with just more time.
crazy how it got so much better when he left lmfao
The judgement day music is still edge theme music
Well, Judgment Day is still here and strong for now. So its good to see that, atleast they weren't just wasting our time. I think JD is kinda lame, but i have grown a liking to them. I really do miss Mami though.
Edge had to do checks on Oahu, yesterday.
The Jobber Day
Thanks Rhea making edge hair cut off
Edge, the kind of guy who sleeps with his good friends girl behind his back.
They weren't friends they were adults why is it your business
@@BigDic-qz8suTalking about Matt and Edge’s friendship? Cause they were good friends before the incident.
@@sodokami6347 they just co workers they weren't friends part of the story
@@sodokami6347 it was funny watching all the guys who played and have no women hate on edge
It made no sense that this guy who basically undefeated, was so desperate he needed his own group.
They had nothing for him
The JD was great with Edge. It felt different and with a purpose. Now, it's just a group of people with purple and black theming.
I love to hate Dom, but the JD with Edge was special.
They got better personally after edge
They were better off without edge
Million times better
The fans wouldn't care about them if it wasn't for Edge building them up. Tribalism is on display here
We wouldn't have the JD as it is today if Edge were still a part of it.
What does Cody and Randy getting injured have to do with anything?
They were RAW and Smackdown's top babyfaces
@@ChrisManley1994 they were both on Raw in 2022
@@WWE4LlFE Okay then they were WWE's top babyfaces
Vince's final botch on the way out the door. The last of many.
Edge cut his hair for the stable and got kicked out right after, so glad Vince was gone
Why is this titled Edge when this is obviously Adam Copeland????
Because he was Edge during his WWE stint
Boyyyyy im still hurt edge left JD
I love edge,have for years.but I don't think he fits the current products.i hate to say it,but he's a bit of a bore thesedays.in my opinion
I think Dom is acting injured so he don't have to wrestle and lose anymore 😂
I really liked the dark cult judgment day when Edge was the leader. Edge although is not a full on supernatural character like the Undertaker, Kane and Bray Wyatt but Edge definitely has a dark horror side to his character, I mean he acts like a total lunatic sometimes and he also did some vampire stuff in the broods and the broods was also a part of the Undertaker's ministry of darkness and Edge still sometimes becomes the brood edge and bathe people in black blood. So Edge was really amazing as a cult leader but when Edge got betrayed by the group (which was way too early) the judgement day was no longer a dark cult and it became a group of punk teenagers that just bully people and mess around everywhere and I lost half of my interest from the judgement day after that.
I think Logan Paul is Edge.
Only Logan Paul knows this.
They seem to be good without him
hated JD at start then as soon as he got turned on it grew on me.
The need for always doing heel vs babyface is so overused
The Judgment Day was better with Edge in my opinion
Judgement Day did nothing for over a year.
Did he say Cody got hurt? Cody wasn’t in WWE when Edge was in Judgment Day…..
Yes he was
Yes he was, he was out with his pec injury at this point.
Cody just had his return mania match with Rollins at 38 Mania judgement day formed in May of 2022 Cody had his pec injury around that time
Judgement day ain’t the same without Edge now I hate them
It became waaaayyyyy better when they kicked him out😂 I lile edge but he was never that guy to me. I get why otber people see him that way but not me. Lol
I dont know.. considering edge was one of the greatest heels of the late 00s, he could have made it work with more time. But I don't think fans wanted to hate him to that extent and the only reason it ended was because they needed a baby-face.
Eh I honestly would still rather Edge than Finn but it ended up working out in the end especially for Priest and Rhea
@@Bang0ut824 Edge was easily the megastar of the group and Priest and Rhea felt like disciples to him. With Balor however they all felt equal which let to them becoming bigger stars and Balor getting the much needed character change.
The judgement are not a big draw even now what you mean lol
He's really exposed himself over in AEW.
Again am I the only who thinks the Judgement Day is a stupid name🤔like really “The judgement day”
Please Retire.
Dominik can stay injured.. he doesn't add anything to the show hes a child in a costume.
The Judgment Day died when Edge was kicked out.
Died??? 🤨
@MrhollyWood167 By that, I mean became boring.
@@frederickmartinez3280 BORING?? LMAOOO ok
@@MrhollyWood167 Edge was the only thing that made the group fun to watch.
@@frederickmartinez3280 I agree I became disinterested as soon as Edge left. Edge made the group so much more intimidating as their leader.
Kicking Edge out of The Judgement Day was one of the most idiotic things WWE have done in recent memory imo
By which metric? Kicking Edge out led to Rhea, Damian and Dom having a much larger spotlight and getting over in ways that they couldn't if Edge was still drawing all the heat..
Another reason why WWE sucked under Vince. Instead of pushing new talent to the top as a face to replace injured people, they turn Edge and kill the story line.
I love you edge , but please retire and save your carrer .
Copland is worst EdGe is 🔥
