In my opinion since the mask was added in Haven and NOT DC I am thinking the Hunter puzzle is in NY.

I think it's interesting that in the image from NY the taxi cab is the only thing in focus. All the doors, and the trunk are open. Yellow is often a clue, so I wonder if cars or specifically taxis are involved.
That picture in NY of the taxi cab and the yellow newspaper box that they flash is on the corner of williams st and john st outside haven when going to battery park.
What this video has reminded me is that I don't have all the New York masks yet and this something to work on as I am waiting for the next season to start. 👍

I have been saying for years that there is a puzzle in Wall Street! You have Keaner supplies that you do nothing with. Keaner worked in Wall Street, the times on the clocks and representing lights have me thinking there is something there

From what I've looked up in game and have many photos of maps throughout DC, the maps in the recruiters hideout are in other areas of the game and not exclusive.
There is a green slip of paper in a safe house on a bounty board that has coordinates (irl gps) but the one set I could read lead outside the playable area, it's similar to the coords that are in the extremis malis comic book 3.
I haven't looked into NY as much but, there's still the issue with the 2 fuse boxes that dont seem to open anything.
There's also the empty bar by the DC's mayors office that hasn't been used for anything. These anomalies could be part of something?
There was also a rumour that the community solved one puzzle incorrectly but you are still ae to spawn the hunter and get the mask (which is a weird bug but it's happened before in games.) Perhaps we have to solve that puzzle correctly for the mechanic for this last puzzle to work, like maybe an additional hunter was supposed to spawn somewhere if we did all the puzzles correctly?
The problem with the hunters is that the puzzles and so stupidly complicated and also finicky that it's virtually impossible to figure them out. The community needs clues and a lot of people trying different things to get them to work and it takes hundreds of hours. A lot of them need to be done after 9pm in-game, so if it's not the right time, you may have to wait a long time IRL. Also, if nothing happens, is that because you did something wrong, and if so what, or was it because the game just decided not to spawn them (lots of players have trouble getting hunters to spawn). Do you now need to wait in-game until it's 9pm again, or do you need to log out and back in?
I wouldn't be surprised if most hunter mask puzzles are "solved" by the devs just telling someone exactly what to do.
Case in point - the street in NY shown in the video when they talk about the missing mask. Is that a clue? I went and took a look at it and tried to see if there was anything unusual about it. Look at the 3 lamp posts in that street (between where the screenshot is taken and back up the street towards Haven). All 3 lamp posts have two silver diamonds on them. I walked around Haven and didn't see those diamond shapes on any other lamp posts. I did see a post (not a lamp post, just a short post in the ground) with the same two diamond shapes on it, but they had signs on them, like they were yellow with red direction arrows or whatever - the ones on the lamp posts are plain silver as far as I can tell. Maybe I just needed to check lamp post in a wider area, but if not and they are unique... so what? What does that mean? Do you shoot the silver diamonds? If so, in what order? At what time? Does it matter if you have directives enabled? What if you use an AR and accidentally hit one of them with two bullets instead of one? Can you go back at try again? Do you need to wait 24 hours? Etc...
See what I mean? Trying to solve hunter mask puzzles is definitely fun, especially working with others and bouncing ideas off each other, but it's also the path to madness.
I shot every one of those diamonds at night. And as I was doing it, I thought to myself “some asset modeler out there would die inside watching me do this.” But I can’t stop looking for those subtle clues…
This mask was added when the recruiter manhunt was added idk why players keep thinking it's a paid mask or a hunter in a mission the dev already told a player someone found a clue by accident but never solved the clue and those screen shot the dev was showing on the video are hunter location where u get the mask the last one photo is in NYC idk where but could be a location of a clue the recruiter room I also look on the map I thought the axe was a location but was not I believe those X are the location for the audio u have to find that lead u to the room but I believe the video the dev show could be a clue until this day im in nyc looking for clues no joke I have clan member join my world n ask me what I'm doing and I reply looking for clues and exploring NYC I had some thought of clues like the NYC red light Bowie it would light up red at night and you can shoot the light there's a few of them in NYC by the water n Brooklyn Bridge I shot all of them thinking something would happen nope n next to Haven it's a red door in a alleyway but can't open

It has something to do with lucky 13. He’s On the bloody knuckles description and that relates to the memento bag then, there are like mask or 12 in DC

When you play the mission where Kajika is in, there are screens you can turn on and use, but nothing really else happens.
Also when playing the space administration, there are some “thermostats” you can interact with that also lead to nothing. Maybe those two are tied to puzzles?
Pathway park mission, second zone, there are 4 interactive panels. Previous similar panels in containment zones would unlock extras.

i have a feeling it could be the ducks wearing hunter masks during the recruiter mission...
I found a total of 10 ducks in various places. Have pics and all for them.
They are everyone even in missions that aren't in NYC. I have found a handful of them on random benches in DC.

There was a masked duck in Kelso Manhunt inside Tanker as well.
So, the one thing that has really stood out to me in NY recently are the buoys found along the eastern coastline and there are also some within the city. I’ve ran WONY many times along with leagues and seasonal stuff. The buoys at night seem to really stand out as of late.
Tried shooting them all, but nothing happens.
Considering that most NY hunters consist of crazy puzzles, thought this mystery one might be the same

i have pics for all of them, some buoys are red, some turn off and on, some are off, idk man is a mistery, some makes noises
Near the intersection in that NYC shot from the promo video, there are large ornaments stacked in a pile next to a little tunnel with stores and 3 large, spherical lights. One is blinking, one is out, one is on. The stores around the lights are all Meret. I’ve shot them in different sequences and looked all over that space for clues. Seems like nothing, but the blinking light just *feels* like a Hunter clue.

On the Haven building itself at night you can shoot out the lighted snowflakes. Some are blue,orange, and white I believe. They are around all sides not sure if that’s anything. 🤷♂️

I think that during all this time, people who were interested in this, if they had not found it in the game, they would simply provide information through a datamine.
For example, spoilers for a couple or several seasons ahead were published on Reddit, including the current one.
Perhaps the developers hid it very well, but for now it looks like a trick on their part.
If the last hunter mask, i got a good feeling it's in the location of the Brooklyn dlc. The location is somewhere in the division 1 Brooklyn area. That's my guess/hunch it's tied to the Brooklyn dlc.
Hunter puzzles does leave it pretty vague, I have to say. Given that the hook is in NYC I suspect that it's more tied to there, else why not have it in DC? Could definitely be related to finding ducks in the recruiter mission, but I have a feeling it may be content that isn't even available yet. Maybe S1 next year where we are doing more to figure out what it is that Kelso and Co are doing now. The issue is that NYC is only so big, but I guess we'll see.
I believe there are about 4 or 5 more secrets not revealed yet.
Not far from that site, at coords 1170 - 1395, tucked in an alley off of Gold Street is a piece of graffiti that reads PLUTONC!TA, with 'I hate the blue boys', '1984', 'They are watching you' and 'Pluti' written over and over again. Pluti translates from Romanian as 'to float' and comes from pluta (Raft). Someone mentioned blue buoys off shore, and they've hidden clues in graffiti before..
That's a solid lead! I'll check it out
Has anyone else had that creepy experience of that hunter standing just outside the doorway of a safehouse staring at you. That legit felt spooky because it was so outside of the normal dynamics of the game.

@@zeroguhravity Yup, just stood there looking in. It’s been a while so I can’t remember which safehouse, I just know it was the Washington map.
I found a place on the NYC map and I really think it’s the spot but I can’t figure it out. I’m not the best at that but I really believe it’s the place to start or it would be where it ends. Very convincing to me. Open world and some sort of sequence to it and maybe even something to activate during the day and finish at night.

I know the mystery Hunter that would pop up every so often in Washington DC is back because he popped out on me the other yesterday when I was doing the weekly project so there's definitely a hunter floating around somewhere..
That one specifically might just be a "stalker Hunter," as the community refers to them as. They've been around since launch and will just stalk you in the open world, aren't tied to any specific puzzles from what we know.
Some of the NY hunters were known to spawn in DC open world. Given that the known 25 masks all came from open world Hunters - I thought the new one was also of this category. Occasionally I discover faction lockboxes in areas where the minimal does that glitching effect that accompanies a hunter spawn. However having solo fought most known hunters I was confused to experience it again. Then I saw the the extra Hunter hook in the Haven basement area. The recruiter hideout seems to indicate something with wall maps. Also there have been in game time conditions tie to prompting hunter spawns. Some of the tunnels in WONY Manhattan also require turning valves and shooting yellow panels to access underground rooms. There was also that area under the Bridge pillars where I found a stack of board games - they are probably Easter eggs to Massive games or Ubisoft games.
If some of those faction box location encounters were at night, it's possible you were getting a Stalker Hunter. They usually sit on high rooftops and just watch you
@@div.agenthunter7856 yes I’ve been hearing about these stalker enemy types at night time in game. There’s also that unofficial faction consisting of archers, throwers, chainsaw tank type - the underground faction. I helped some other agents with the known 25 hunters.

I've recently encountered a hunter that ran off when I was doing a bounty, to my knowledge once you've defeated a hunter, they don't spawn randomly anymore, and I have all the masks except this mystery one. That being said the hunter I encountered was in DC inside a Library where bounty targets usually spawn in Constitution Hall.
That's probably 1 of the watcher hunters.. when they're around your HUD flickers and u hear static. If u can find them and hit them with a extremely powerful head shot you'll kill them. Nothing happens though
I've seen that one twice. But never get a shot at them.

@@shud1 Yep. I've gotten several, and there's even one at the Crimson Mask location after you defeat him. You can walk right up to the watcher one there and he wont shoot you
In NY there is a location on the west/northwest side of the map (Battery Park Loc -503.63 if you are in your build menu screen) where there are two yellow boxes on the wall. when you shoot theses boxes you hear what appears to be garage doors opening BUT nothing in the area opens. I have spent hours searching the area and have not figured it out. Has anyone else found these...curious if that has something to do with this mystery. I do recall months ago, a dev coming out saying that all the secrets in NY still have not been found. Happy hunting all!

In the recruiter hideout, the map with the ax sticking out of it, did anyone inspect the area on the map where the red strings tied to the 'X's cross? The strings cross to form another 'X'. Just a thought.

The location on the div2 video, stating that some haven't been found is the intersection between Williams St and John St, looking towards Haven.

Is it possible the coloured boxes on the side of the blue cabinet in that location mean anything?
Maybe the puzzle will be added in the next season/year, and it's part of the content they have planned

Is it attainable currently or do we have to wait till the dlc drops ? Is it an achievement for completing all the manhunts or maybe you get a secret door in the white house after you get all the collectibles around DC that belong in the white house?
I would be surprised if this were all tied to the DLC given how far out it still is
I never got to finish the recruiter manhunt due to working away, and i also failed miserably at trying to kill the hunter in the kelso stranded tanker mission. So doubt i have the fredom mask. But i went to the hunters room u showed and i dont have access
Just remember you can always drop your mission difficulty as low as you need to be able to replay the Kelso mission and grab that mask! 👍
If I was trying to hide a hunter puzzle in plain view where no one was likely to look, I’d do it in kenly college.
That said, the meret estate (incursion) would be another sensible location

Nooe. These Hunters are always a different one from those who you can find in DC. They are called Stalkers. They can't be killed normally. Only if you oneshot them. They drop regular loot or the mask if you don't have it. But its not related to that hook

Nope, that is a different Hunter everytime. Called a Stalker. It can be one of the Hunters who you can find in DC. They there to just watch and leave
You saw how complicated some of those mask were to get. How people figured some of those out are beyond me. Some were so complicated it's hard to believe someone figured some of that out on their own. No telling how complicated they made this new one.
That's because those players had friends that were devs and gave them hints and cheats same way they did with iron horse
@@GOOSE-1334 Sad....Yea somethings you had to do across the maps that tied together. When I was doing it I was like, dude there is no way anyone could have EVER tied these things together like that without some inside help. I definitely believe you for sure.
@Saintsfanalways oh it got blown up with worlds first on Iron Horse, and it came out that they had a cheat sheet from a dev. The same with the original hunter puzzles. Most of them were content creators. Most of the community was pissed esp about the Iron Horse Thing.
I went to that area and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. There's a yellow star where the Axe is I posted on Twitter.
Perhaps the hunter puzzle will be in Brooklyn? Yet to be discovered could be due to lack of access. Brooklyn is still NY, so the hook would be in the right place.
It could be, but it would be odd for them to place the hook given how far out the DLC still is
I'd like to know where all the new exotic weapons are displayed .. Ive looked in DC and NY and do not see the iron lung or the mosquito etc.. thoughts?
After Season 9 the wall in NYC filled up, they've yet to find a new space to put the newer ones

I scoured the recruiter hideout and took screenshots of everything in the rooms. Didnt you have to follow all the blue light clues to get access. Id be a little annoyed if they just opened it to everyone now lol
I'll reinvestigate the spots on the map but they turned up nothing the first time. I thought maybe the spot where the blade is stuck in the one map was important but we can't access that part of DC
I recently ran into a "watcher" hunter near DUA, and that was the first time that has ever happened to me in my almost 2k hours in the game. Friend said they've run into another watcher several times recently near Lincoln memorial.🤔

Just a heads up the “watcher” are just the DC hunters if you can one shot them they will drop their masks if you don’t have them already, but they won’t drop their keys. In order to get the keys you have to kill them legitimately. Also the “watchers” only spawn at night.

Those are usually for the stalker hunters, from what we know they're not tied to any specific puzzles
I’ve been running into a random hunter in DC with a fishnet look over his mask. Shot him a few times but he just runs, pops smoke and disappears. I know he’s around whenever the displays on the screen get all staticky.
Called a Stalker. It isone of the Hunters who you can find in DC. He is there to just watch and leave
I think you can probably discount anything in DC. The hook is in NY.
Except some of those masks hanging in NY were from hunters you had to kill in DC

Watch the marketing video and I have questions
1) showing 2 masks crimson and phantom but only talking about crimson. Maybe phantom is a clue that you need to be at a certain spot around 21:00 hours.
2) if the spot is the second picture are we looking for a lever to pull or a phone to answer like the crimson mask or is it in haven?
I have looked over the area of the "hint" photo and keep thinking something to do with newspapers becauae there have been hints on previous hunters in the newspapers of the game. That said i did not see any newspapers or clues. Someone else mentioned the conection with the map behind where Kelso used to be located and bond banks? There is a national bond bank to the right in the "hint" photo. If anyone knows anything about that connection let me know ill keep looking
i got the standard freedom mask after finishing the manhunt, i was very sad lmao.. that hunter took 3 guys with 400k to 600k damage to kill him :)
Damn. I was lucky then. I ran that mission solo and absolutely destroyed him with a 50/150 Crit build
@@scout8940 i joined someone's lobby because i couldn't get pass challenging difficulty by myself, i couldn't even get pass anything thats before the pit lol, then the guy i joined was using shotgun and shield armor and can handle 6 to 7 gold enemy, i was using bullet king and and keener's weapon, still struggling to get cover, we both die like 3 times until another random joins in, we get through until the hunter phase and my LORD that guy had a billion armor, we were spamming everything at him, probably shouldve use the stem launcer that eats armor since the hunter moved slow with debuffs, his armor got stacked a lot because we have 3 guys in lobbies ig. im not even sure what difficulty that was put on, probably heroic

Could the new NY huntermask be related to TMNT? Since it's close to a sewer, on the light pole there is a sticker with "Mind is might" & the color of the objects seem familiar.
This is a theory however, but wanted to see if it may help find any further clues towards the 26th huntr mask.

There are two yellow electrical boxes in Battery Park, right at a Riker’s propaganda broadcast, only a few blocks from Widows web. I’ve always wondered about these, as you shoot either box, and you can hear like a garage door opening, but you can never find that door. I’m convinced there has to be something more to this, but can’t figure out what.
This one drives me nuts lol I tried shooting them in different orders and waiting until night/day but nothing. If you donate to a control point you can see loot boxes behind the garage doors in the area that you can’t access even by working your way through the building behind them. Leads me to believe that’s it’s bugged and just doesn’t open, or we’re missing something else that will open them

@@Phoenixxps3 Yeah that has been my conclusion as well because i too saw the loot boxes. So I'm thinking its just a bugged loot room(s) but am hopeful its something else.
I have found out on reddit it's a bug those yellow box open the gate next to the cop car but after a update the gate don't open anymore its a bug that ubisof never fix

Idk if this is important for solving the hunter mask but I got a friend that said they or their friend had/has a hunter stalking them in the open world. I can't remember if they said NY, DC, or in general open world. I've never seen a hunter stalking me but I really don't do open world.
Those are random occurrences in the open world that have been going on since the game launched. Seems to be tied to no specific secrets from what we know

OK best thing to do is go back to the beginning. Firstly we found out about the hunters by finding this hunter script now where were the hunter scripts located in New York to lead us to the Hunter locations?
Wonder if there will be a hunter in the Brooklyn DLC and they just loaded the hook now.

My Lucky mask bugged and never dropped, and now I can't re kill the hunter since they were all killed already. Reached out to Support and they told me tough shit find a group lol

That happened to me and my brother and home boy last year. We had to do it again on his son's game play we killed them again and it dropped.
common bug, you can also do it on a different character (or in someone else's session that hasn't done that yet).
i have a similar thing with the 4 food truck hunters. got the key drop buy not 1 of the masks.
sometimes you wander back by their spawn point and a mask will poof on the ground. super buggy.
The scene in the video (dev video) looks familiar...gonna go scout around there, kick at the leaves as it were. As for the maps at the Recruiter's place...been to all the (accessible) places marked on both maps and, yeah. Unless I'm that blind - nothing. We'll find it though. This community *loves* a good mystery!

When are the devs gonna unlock the Stinger LMG?
Alright so I went back to all 5 locations marked with yellow Xs on the DC map. Two are in DZ East, didn't find anything at either (and yes I visited all locations after 2100 hours). The lower one is near a tunnel and the upper one is near a landmark (Dead Park) and a triangular street island with a statue on it.
The 3 in regular DC are all very close to a main story mission, those being: Viewpoint museum, Jefferson Trade Center, and Grand Washington hotel. Nothing of note at any except the one near the museum is right by an echo (of some named hyenas robbing eachother). Jefferson Trade Center is of note of course because the Recruiter appears prominently several times there in the Cap. Lewis Manhunt mission.
I took screenshots of the general areas of each, I could post them to imgur or something if anyone wants.
The location near viewpoint and Jefferson are world boss locations. The grand Washington location has graffiti in building to the left saying sleep. That graffiti is found in multiple places.

@djbeema yes, named elite. Also there are also 3 sets of lights at both locations, with the middle set turned off. I need to get back on to test a theory of shooting out lights at both locations without fast travelling at night

Pistol is the Regulus. The green cloud is the effect of the Reanimated global event currently going on.

Relating to the missing hunter mask, has anyone actually found anything that could be a part of the puzzle?
The only thing I’ve ever found/heard of is an “intractable” door upstairs in the federal reserve building, but I have been told that that door can be opened if you get a random key drop from a named boss (dunno how true that is though!?)
It’s crazy how the previous hunter puzzles have been solved as some of them are so involved- a switch in one area then a panel in another (but at different times of day), then shoot a yellow box on a clock tower after 9pm! I mean wtf!!
I did try and see if there are any recurring patterns across the mask puzzles, but even if you do find one how do you know how many sequences there are and where/when they need to be done etc🤷♂️
If this hunter is in the live game right now (has this been confirmed???), then how insane must the puzzle be to trigger it??
Could this be one of those puzzles that goes unsolved because people loose interest and stop looking!?!
Most likely will turn out that way if Massive doesn't give the players a tip where to find puzzle and how to solve it. Lost interest

He needs to just definitively tell us if it's actually available to obtain in-game now or if it is just a placeholder. I know the promo said some puzzles haven't been solved yet, but with how sleuthful this community is, I figured by now we'd have found it if it was there.
It was likely only added after the recruiter since that’s when the hook appeared. The other masks have been in the game for a long time
It is available the dev said ppl have found the clues by accident but never solved them if u solve the clue u will get the mask

Maybe that hook is for the mask that you get throught that quest that you get 1 hunters mask by inviting a friend to the game? 🤷🏻♀️

I think both theories are wrong. The hook got added end of last year. And as we all know the new dlc (Brooklyn ny) was supposed to come out end of last year as well. So this leads me to my theory that this hook is for a new secret hunter that will be added with the new dlc.
At their earliest projections, the DLC was slated for March 2024, so it would have still been 5 months in advance that the hook was added in. Even longer if you account for the delay to June when they switched to 4-month Seasons. Seems odd to me that they'd add it in that early- but anything's possible!

Possible, as with most things. I would find it odd if they added it in *that* early though, even if you're going with the originally intended launch window of the DLC which was March of this year, that'd still have been 5 months in advance

Excuse me guys, I know it may be a silly question, but how did you figure out the recruiter’s hideout? Or how you knew that this was his place?

I have 3000 hours in this game and never got any of the masks as far as I know. Is it any fun getting them? I don’t really like puzzles lol
Most are pretty simple using guides on RUclips. Can be a fun time killer if you've got nothing else to do!

I have both the masks related to the meret estate, art deco and wright masks, and neither appear on the hook

@@JuanBabaHase I’m pretty sure it’s from doing the incursion without anyone going down. I’ve done quite a few incursion runs, I don’t even remember when it got it.
@@the-jarJuan is correct, Flawless Incursion (meaning nobody in the group can even go to a knee, let alone actually die) is the Wright Mask. Flawless with no kits for the Perfect Paradise Lost Commendation. Flawless Wright encounter is the Wright Patch.

Hi interesting of a hunter in New York got all masks so fare i wonder in New York beside christmas market / batery pl ther is a construktion site ther you coma a cross a symbole in severel collors yellow/green and red if i recall right reds in undergorund and at top of scafolt you fide a pannel you can hold x on a button but nothing happens? mabye the symboles and that button can be a clue fore the hunter??? just a mabe parden my english the symbole is like a nedeel with a serpen a large x on topp and the numbers 3 left 212 topp and a x on the right ??? an the black has 1 on left still 212 topp anda V on the right difrent nubers and letters on difrent collors mabe a clue who knows.
