Back in original wrath I remember frost dk duel weld weapons with agility... Why do I remember this because I was a rogue in ICC trying to get the one hand axes and we had two dks in the guild that always bid against me and the other rogue for weapons and trinkets..i can't recall why agi was good for frost dk at the time but I wasn't happy about it.
agi isn't good for dks but there are no slow onehanders with str

my guy that opening isnt that great, the 2nd line leaves about 6 sec where you are just auto attacking.... yyou couuld weave FS and BS in that slot and increase youur over all dps
Help me understand blood tap. You use one frost rune to turn a blood rune into a death rune. So youre basically trading a frost rune for a death rune. Why not just use that frost rune for your obliterate? seems like an even trade in the end?

Why not do ERW -> 3x Obliterates instead of having a frost strike after the 2nd? It puts your runes on CD earlier. You can frost strike after anyways
You are capping out your runic power
Capping RP, and delaying oblit by up to 2,5 seconds to do a frost strike as your runes are coming back up is actually good due to rune grace period

ERW is so good. IDC what these streamers say, it allows the dk to be more versatile with runes. I know these dudes min max thing to an unreal amount but... they're going for some mythical number on a website.
As long as im pumping and having fun (which ERW is so much more fun) then thats all that matters anyways
@travis polton your advice is incorrect and would lead to overcappjng runic power and therefore losing DPS. You do you, but if other people wanna minmax dps you shouldn’t be giving out wrong advice, Sarthe here is correct in his opener rotation and the numbers literally prove it 😂 isn’t it inconvenient when the numbers don’t match with your perception of the game 😂I’d love to compare your parses with Sarthe and see who knows more about DK rotations hahaha
@@tjpfz6 You're trying to make it seem like you have some unknown wisdom about the rotation but just look at top parsers in the world, you'll see a variance in the opener. Whether they triple oblit or weave in a FS before the 3rd oblit... they're still top parsing. Hello it's a RNG proc based class
how the rotation will look at the execution phase? i dont really get it
I don't understand the theory in the 'execute' phase? Surely this should just come into play throughout the course of a fight because blood tap is on a 1-minute cooldown. Is there a specific mechanic Dks get when the boss is in execute phase I don't know about?
Frost talent. Your moves do 12% increased dmg to targets 35% or below

What do you do once the first 80 button rotation is done though?
pretty sure its a prio system keeping diseases up > oblit > frost strike with killing machine > then use rime procs > frost strike without killing machine

Frost/blood or Frost/Unholy, frost/unholy says it sims higher but everyone is going frost/blood... wowhead says if ur gear sucks go frost/blood, so which is better in Uld?

Blood boil is used over blood strike in aoe situations, death coil is never used as frost since you have frost strike and death strike is used in emergency situations were you might die if you dont get some health asap.
How do you get the procs for Killing Machine and Rime like that? Are you using an addon ?

Also my pets never attack as frost. I don't have a pet bar since I don't have a point in the talent. How do I get my ghouls / army to attack without being attacked? Sometimes they just stand there....
Yeah I also do not get a pet bar if I'm in frost talent. So the raise of the dead button its useless for me

if its always the same opener, can you just do a cast sequence macro and spam this macro until you transition to you normal rotation?
Not ideal, sometimes during your triple oblit you'll weave in a frost strike... sometimes not. This class requires on-the-fly decision making, play a ret pal if you want a one-button macro'd rotation.
@@alexward8596 it still is a pretty straight forward sequence cause if you weave in an additional FS then your diseases will drop off before the final pestilence
Why are we doing a Obliterate before pestilence and not after ERW for 3 in a row? Also the Chinese logs show an Obliterate + Frost Striek before Pestilence. Im confused.
u can do obliterate, pestilence, ERW and 3 obliterates
Because if you pest after ERW you lose a possible Obli and either waste a blood rune or just gain a blood strike which is nothing. If you do: IT > PS > BS > Blood Tap > Unbreakable armor> Oblit > PEST > ERW > 3x Oblit > FS spam > Oblit x2 > Pest (Or Oblit > Pest > Oblit depending on input delay) and you get all that without losing your dots, it works out just perfectly on time. to min max your opener.

@@ziadramman Guessing most of the time timings/resources just work out best with pestilence to ERW. Likely squeeze a FS in with KM proc before if it shows up. I'm about 55% that you can unbind Blood Strike for a minimal dps loss after you get your 4piece. Maybe even before. Not that it matters in the opening, but that's the only really important time to flip both blood runes.

Why is indestructible being nerfed?
it will put other pots on 2 min CD instead of one so you won't be able to stack indestructible+haste pot at the start of combat
It's gonna nerf Warriors as well. Personally I was able to consistently stack the indestructible potion with the haste potion pre pot plus an extra haste potion in combat. So this one is gonna hurt for sure for frost
@@Pr3d1ct0r technically that's the answer to "how?" not "why"... as to why - who the fuck knows with Blizzard. Possibly they really hate anyone using more than 1 potion per encounter so they thought they should do something about the situation where DKs are using 3 (so who knows if they'll do something about pre-potting).

The one who can make the simplest Rime proc weak aura notice, without my screen beeing bloated by exotic mega weakauras that nobody but the creator understands until a few months have passed, wins a big prize from me.

@@Snxgur why? Because your favorite BIS list creator copied and pasted the same thing everyone else did? The dps of LL is substantially higher, a significant portion of FDK dmg comes from auto attacks, check your own logs if you actually play the class.
a quick sim of 30k iterations with 2 Last Laughs is a 319dps loss vs 30k iterations with 2 Angry Dreads. As a non robot, id prolly lose even more dmg. Sure we get a decent amount of dmg from melee, but we get the most from our oblits and frost strikes, which take our weapon dmg(not to be confused with weapon DPS). Angry Dread has a higher base dmg(we disregard the dps part) than Last Laugh, so our oblits are bigger. Unholy likes Last Laugh because they do indeed get a massive chunk of their dmg from their melee outside of gary and DnD dmg since they dont take SS anymore, so for them the DPS part on a weapon is more important. Dunno man, the sim has never really done me wrong.. there's certainly cases of margins of error.. but 300+ dps loss is far beyond any margin of error for a sim to make.

If your gear is good enough (especialls your weapons) you swap to frost with unholy subspec. Then the armor pots don't do anything for you anymore.
