This is very funny and great I think they made it into their own style and they're not trying to having a super-voice or even sound like Grimes. They sing in a Franz Ferdinand style and they make me laugh. SO great!!

Its not a copy, its their 'take' on it. As someone else said, it is Franz Ferdinand, it is going to have a cold feeling to it. I prefer this version far more than the 'innovative and incredible' original.

i love the original but as someones who is really fond of the lyrics of this song its nice to see a stripped down version. that being said, i do think the subject matter works better with a female voice. does anyone know of a more acoustic female cover?

Definitely one of the best covers I've heard in years. A good cover always takes the source material and translates it into the covering band's sound.
