I bought my OLED C3 42 inch after watching your “OLED Tv as a Monitor” video and let me just say, even now after owning the panel for a little over two months, it still never fails to blow me away. The deep blacks and beautiful contrasts you get from an OLED is truly unbeat. I’m never going back to traditional LCD.

I have both the LG version of this monitor and the 42 inch tv, and I absolutely love them! I first bought the tv and loved it so much that I went ahead and got the monitor as well. At this point there is no way I can ever go back to anything but OLED. Plan on getting a 65 or 75 inch tv for the living room around the holidays when they go on sale. Content just looks to good to ever go back to LCD. However, the text being blurry is a real bummer, and I hoping that the coming 4k OLED's fix this issue.

Yeah, its currently VA, but I don't think the up-side toward upgrading to Nano-IPS is kinda worth it, right now, considering the hassle I will need to sell my current monitor anyway. ive personally used the 42c for around 6 months after i sold it again. Yeah the black is amazing and it looks better then other panels but it aint like OMG night and day difference. + burnout regardless of all the oled fans saying it barely happens is still a very big issue when you use your pc for over 4 hours at a time. and you end up having to do so much extra shit. hidding desktop icons , the taskbar , a moving background or black one. in my opinion its just not worth it for a gamers perspective or programming. watching series however big yes. ALSO important to notice if you have a matt finish on an oled panel it takes away alot of quality compared to a glossy oled screen.

32" is a weird size in the sense that its too big for 1440p but then people also say its too small for 4k. Personally, I think for a pc monitor 32" needs to be 4k. Id like to see a 27" 4k OLED, as 27" is basically the perfect size for most people's desk setup. OLED monitors are still too expensive for the majority of pc gamers..esp when you consider that the majority of them cost as much or more than a mid range gaming pc

I do use 32" monitors on my MacBook and Windows computers. I have the 32" M8 that is connected to my MacBook and the 32" Corsair Xeneon. What most people forget is to set the scaling properly. A 32" 4K screen is about 138 Pixels Per Inch (PPI) - the optimal PPI for human eyes is ~140 PPI. One thing to remember is the distance to the screen. I sit about 2.5 feet from my monitor and the Corsair is just magnificent. With that distance, the size of the monitor matters less because I can see the full screen (no neck wobble). 27/28" is ideal for 1440p but really 2K is pretty sweet too, again the setup matters most. I can still play at 1440p as I simply choose that option in the game. I have my Windows scaling set to 110% and work generally 12-14 hours a day behind my screens.

32" is more than fine for 1440p unless you feel like playing like 10cm away from the screen in which case of course you are going to see pixelation. Form a normal and healthy distance there are no issues at all.

@@Mike918 Yep, same PPI as 24" 1080p. Perfectly fine at the slightly longer viewing distance of 32" and needs no scaling.

I can afford the new 42 C3 but can't afford the GPU that can drive games with it...... That's the sad part.

Why would I ever use anything that small for gaming. And I'm never sitting at a desk like some office ape? I use my LG g3 77 oled only because the 83" doesn't have the mla screen. Burn in isn't a thing unless you leave it on one image for thousands of hours constantly.

yikes $849 and $866 is not $800, thats 900+ with tax, the same I paid for my dell IPS monitor 10+ years ago. I am buying OLED next and just need to see more competition because AsusROG #1 and 4080's cost the mortgage already.

Whoever mixes the audio for this channel boosts the bass waaay too much. Might sound fine if you're using completely flat studio headphones, but as soon as you're used something which already has a warmer sound (like the very popular sony xm3 4 and 5) it just sounds very muffled and bad

Why do people mount bright ass lights on their monitors? OLEDs are much better in darker rooms. Why shine a light right on the screen?

I don't think OLED gaming monitors are good for most people because of how games have a lot of static elements such as HUDs and most people don't have the money to buy a monitor and then get a new one when burn-in happens. This being said, I have the Nintendo Switch OLED and it has no signs of burn-in. This is also because I switch between an LCD TV and handheld mode where as with a PC or more traditional game console, you won't be switching into handheld mode.
