Just went through my Venison deep freezer found a package of venison breakfast sausage dated 2014. It tasted excellent👍 Meats all vacuum sealed and kept at zero or lower degrees.
@@janX9 the first thought that occurred to me as soon as you mentioned salmonella?; Cider vinegar. A natural antibiotic hot and drunk dilute to kill the bacteria immediately. I've happily used it for decades and it ALWAYS prevents me from becoming unwell.
I ride solo so bulk buys last me years, recently popped open a pack of snaggers that were 6 years old, a little on the dry side, like jerky but cooked up just fine Spoiler alert, the sticker price was $2 40 and 2day are $6.80
My grandma has taken this to the extreme I've found meat from 2000 she cooked it at 2005 and left it in there today in 2022 and she literally trys feeding me it all the time and I will not do it. Just so people know 98% of the food in her house is like that so I will literally starve then eat it i know because its been 5 days since I've eaten i get payed in a week so let's hope I'll hold out till then. Ps im disabled and get ssi and do to today's rent i went homeless so my grandma helped me and now I'm regretting saying yes ill stay for a bit till I can find a place to rent ya its been 8 months like rent prices go down for God sakes 😒 i need a home damit.
You should get sum fresh ingredients or canned food tins there cheap like 70c for sum baked beans as long as you got water and abit of food to consume and roof is better than been homeless Godbless
I freeze food for months and months and months. Absolutely NO problem. AND that applies to reduced fresh food about to expire, which is put into a freezer. Never once had a problem. Ever. Gut instinct should confirm this, not corporate directives.

I am about to eat some frozen Turkey burgers individually wrapped from 2015.
Hope you enjoyed your venison.
Does it age like some alcoholic drinks?
Who should you listen to ? The really old lady who has been freezing food for years ....or the government?
Old lady without a second thought
You don't have to listen to either. Listen to the science.
@@janX9I listen to gut instinct.
If it seems off according to sense, then it IS off.
Incredibly straightforward.
@@letsdiscussitoversometea8479 You can't see, smell, or taste salmonella. *"Gut instinct"* you say 🤢🤒 hahaha

Using seal a meal for meat, I freeze the meal size I'm going to use. Most things will last up to a year.
their food's fine obviously they're 500 years old.
They found a wholly mammoth, let's see the FDA eat that.

Either's sufficient, but of *_course_* fahrenheit is preferable! 🙂
