JoBlo Movie Clips 👍👍
thats a real minigun. they had to put the jungle back together a few times so mac could blow it down again to get the right shot.
Jesse Ventura also mostly took the role in this movie because he wanted to quote "make arnold look like a peanut" in comparison to how big they are lmao.
i think this was one of the only movies that two governors {future} were in as well
💪💪🤘
Well not to get all technical because afterall, Hollywood lol. But even if they tried to ask him wtf was up, there was no way he would hear without any sort of squad integrated comms and peltors. That mini gun’s a screaming.
@@simul8rduude I think they were also in Running man together as well
One of the great scenes in movie history....god the 80's were a great time for action films
Absolutely. I nut every time I see this. Better than... you know!
Practical effects go hard
@Giuliano Matrix undefeated facts
Horror as well
Cocaine and firearms!
The best part is, none of them even question him, they just dive in there and open up with him. No 2nd guessing, "are you sure you saw something" nah multiple mag dumps and grenades for their bro. That's a tight squad.
Bruh....If I hear that minigun pop off, Im going in hot too. When you hear the Mini spinning, its on sight.
I mean the proof of why was laying on thr ground dead with his chest blown open.
You damn right Kyle, was thinking the same and about to write the same when I saw your comment. Someone said the body would make it obvious but the body wasn’t visible to whole team.
Before Mac grabbed Blane’s weapon, I noticed him step to his left, pretty much directly over the body of his slain best friend, and rock and roll till his weapon ran dry.
He did not plan to use the minigun until his weapon went click.
The rest of his brothers automatically fall into line, and without a second though start laying down a wall of fire.
Brotherhood. One of the greatest scenes of all time.
You’re right. Those men are Brothers In Arms.
My favorite part of it too.
What's incredible is that after conversations, just how many people this sent into post-Vietnam flashbacks. The way he scream 'contact' sent a ton of guys into ptsd mode. My dad said he knew guys (big, tough dudes) under theater seating when watching it upon release.
I hope they got some help. Must be terrible to go through
The predator might be a kick ass killing machine, but I have no doubt he was shitting his pants running away from this. the shear amount of firepower they pump down range is insane
*in king Arthur voice* run awaaay
hahaha yes i pictured him like WTF, chill guys it wasnt personal im just hunting.
@@tylerdurden1923 Dude I no its the movies but in real life ET or not ....there's no way in hell that thing would have survived that ......the mini gun alone !!!!!!! jus sayin......loved your reply tho
Take shelter behind a little mound of dirt, and the alien is golden. And those dumb asses back there with all the firepower are permanently deaf.
Or he just jumped 10' to one side and watched the show.

I've watched this a thousand times and I still get chills. That's serious teamwork. They don't question each other.
... and now they'e all deaf.
I watched this yesterday on blu ray and turned all the lights out. made me feel like 1987 again
Buy they should. A target should be identified before mag dumping into the wild blue yonder.
No ammo shop in the jungle though
Establish and support a base of fire.
So much testosterone, so much rage.
This movie deserves more praise than it gets
The golden age of movies, men were expected to act like men, and they did in volumes. :)
Here's your testosterone 1:16
Love the sound of the mini gun when he first picks it up.
I can listening to it all day. Makes me relax, I use it every night to fall asleep.
The sound my lawnmower makes when it catches a piece of gravel
This wasn't even at a quarter speed of it's max rate. I think they had to knock it down to 5-10% so a person could hold it even just firing blanks. Look up videos of them firing at full speed to see what a I mean. Just a nasty brrrrrrrrrr sound. Love it!
@@jd52wtf That's the sound you hear from a A10 warthog !
@@jd52wtf it wasn't just the recoil. They wanted the cinematics of being able to see the barrels rotating properly, and they used modified ammo to give a better muzzle flash. The gun was actually firing blanks, they used standard detonation cord wrapped around trees and other objects to give the illusion of it being mowed down by the minigun.
This is the best scene ever in the whole goddamn universe
Not only that, this is one of the best 80s movies in the universe lol
You are right sir
The second best is maybe the Terminator 2 minigun scene at Cyberdyne.
I've never seen that much tetosteron in a movie clip. This is all you need! The rest just joins in to shoot all the ammo out of the mags. The most beautiful waste of ammo i have ever seen
Wasted all that ammo, but fuck it. This one is for stone cold
But it was satisfying to watch
They had to reshoot this scene multiple times, that's a real minigun too. They literally had to put the jungle back together before every shoot just to have Mac blow it all down again.
❤👍
Waste of Ammo? One of their men was killed outtawhere so they didn't have anytime to ask any questions, so they had to shoot
The firepower of that mini gun. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!
I want one!!
@@Vforfreedom I think the Predator wanted one as well!
The sound of the mini gun just changes the whole dymanic to really serious.
This is a fucking amazing scene of uncut adrenaline and just pure, passionate rage. 1987 was a great year for kickass movies (this, Robocop, Lethal Weapon, and Full Metal Jacket being prime examples).
The music is awesome
There's a ton of action in this scene, and also some serious psychological suspense. His team never shows it on their faces - they're trained to not even feel it - but there's some serious psychological damage going on here.
The audience doesn't really feel the impact until you hear the high-pitched whine of the minigun barrels long after it's run out of ammo. It's the only sound you hear, and then it stops. The effect is meant to pierce the scene just as much as Blain's death.
A lot of it has to do with the fact that it's a movie. That's "suspense" is a piece of cake. And all Schwartzenegger does is squint and look shifty, he doesn't even break a sweat.
Thanks for explaining the obvious, Ebert.
For my 2c the best line is Billy's, realizing they're not fighting another man: "Its tracking us, like a hunter...we're all gonna' die."
Schwarznegger's vision here @@joetaylor3563 is realizing this needed to be a team meets the Predator, that ensemble of personalities makes the story, and besides how could this shoot-up happen without 'em?!
"CONTACT!!!" Probably one of the best line in the movie
1:14 how the soldiers in Vietnam checked for the Vietnamese hiding in the bushes
Meanwhile there in their foxholes in rabbit holes wondering what the hell's going on up there 😂
Predator (1987) - A+
Predator 2 (199) - B
Alien vs. Predator (2004) - D
Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007) - F
Predators (2010) - C
The Predator (2018) - F
The predator sucked so much ass
I'd give Predator 2 an A- I think, it's quite underrated cause it was overshadowed by the first one
@@whatever-wn1nk it has some badass scenes
Predator 2: C -
AVP: A+
I thought AVP was great
Only Bill Duke, Jesse Ventura and Arnold Schwarzenegger fire a Mini Gun like Badasses 🔥🔥🔥
"This is fire." - Prometheus to humans.
"This is firepower." - The USA to Prometheus.
1:39 is definitely my favorite part. How every stops to reload leaving only the sound of the mini mixed mixed the battlecry
After seeing this movie countless times, I literally just realized at this moment that Mac is screaming "CONTACT!!!" I always thought it was just a primal scream!!
I also have dreamed of mowing the lawn like that.... LMAO!
After seeing this movie dozens of times, i never realized he yelled "contact!" either until i read your comment, i always thought the same thing
Thanks for leaving this comment. 24 yrs and I never knew what Mac was screaming until right now.👍🏼 🇺🇸
@@cwell510 So funny, I had this on VHS as a kid so I've seen it a million times too. Just realized this like a week ago.
in the sopanish versions he screams son of a bitch HIJO DEPUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTA
he actually screams SEARGEEEEEENTTTTT!!!!! calling for arnold
I’d love to know how much alien cussing is going through the Predators head during this scene
Nevan Slone Oh §μГ¤ Oh |Ωฯ¬Г
Don't know about his head, but if he had a sphincter, it was probably real tight as he was running out of there.
It is a scientifically proven fact that women who watch this film give birth 9 months later
Or grow a beard the next day.
Every time I get chills all through my body during this scene
Ah the 80s. When manliness, kick ass action movies and gun porn were aspired to :)
One of the most memorable movie scenes of my childhood
Stealth is optional for this mission
Me and the boys: 1:25
Man the 80´s.....nobody makes movies like this anymore. Best scene ever !!!
"how many rounds did we fire into the jungle?"
"yes"
Mac fired on emotion; the team fired on belief!
Well, yes. But he did SEE it.
OMG after all these years I've seen this movie at least a hundred times and I never noticed that Mac's muzzle is flaming hot at 1:03 😲
Just noticed that for the first time too!
That's a recent digital effect for the "director's cut." If you watch the old VHS tapes of Predator, the F/X isn't in there.
I've purchased this on VHS @@joetaylor3563 later received it as a gift on Laserdisc and went back to get the directors cut on DVD. Good point.
Oh and bought the videogame on the Amiga, almost forgot.
Predator up in a tree watching them thinking “Ha ha,I’ll have the last laugh-I’ve got a bomb on my Apple Watch!”
That scene that started your lifetime gun obsession.
That seemed like enough firepower to capture the Normandy beach back in WW2 but it seemed hardly enough to take down that mahfuk'in predator. One of the greatest scenes in movie history.
Saw this the first night in theater when it opened.
Lucky, I was only 3 lol
So you are like 75 years old now?
I was sixteen when I watched this movie opening weekend
I only heard about it at work and seeing it subsequently on cable. Damn...
This is such a epic scene! One of my all time favorite gun scene.
this scene and Terminator 2 at Cyberdyne are the best use of a minigun in cinema EVER
it is 2022 and cinema is pure crap nowadays,
i will revisit these films again for the sake of sanity
Love the movie. I was over my brother's house and he had his TV mounted high on the wall with the soround sound. When Mac sprayed the mini gun I felt it in the floor😲😲😲
Imagine this in THX or the like in a theater! I wish I'd seen that way.
1:38 Cracks me up every time lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂 same bro what the hell was he saying
Best part of the whole movie. Movies will never be this good
Its Amazing what a WAR CRY can cause
CONNNNTAAACTT!!!!!!
I Frames part of me thinks that's what he's saying too. In original DVD release, the caption reads Sergeant. In Blu Ray release, caption reads Contact.
It's contact. It's a typical military signal that contact with the enemy has been made.
Actually it sounds like he's yelling Saergants!
Huh thought Billy yelled Sergeant
Mac is a sergeant, so it would make no sense if he screams sergeant.
One of the most iconic movie scenes of all time. I think the reason why it's so good is because it's what us everyday type people would have done if in that exact same situation. We are all grabbing that mini gun and letting it rip. Lol.
A hundred years from now, these movies will still be around. People of 2123 will watch them, and tell each other "damn, why can't we make movies like these today"?
that minigun sound... DAAAAMN
GOAT movie, GOAT scene, GOAT Weapon, casting the minigun and getting the sound right 11/10
Ever notice that he has to take his hat off before he picks the minigun up
That way, it won't hampered his field of view. :p
50% damage boost
He had to make sure he wouldn't be overencumbered by picking up the minigun. Lol
@@40nakedniggasonahugespacecraft 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Bill Duke!! Man!! All jacked!
As a kid, the thing that always came to mind was, "I mean, that had to scare the Predator, at least a bit."
They threw down enough firepower right there to destroy an entire Company of Troops.
Well....they should have been suspicious they didn't receive return fire, but its a MOVIE so I'm good!
After all these yrs ,, still the best thing ive ever seen in a film 🙆♂️
I like this version better. No sound when the plasma caster goes off. Suits the jungle hunter way more also, its a brutal dead that suddenly (for him) his chest burst open. Its also filmed very nicely with the rotation. Great stuff.👌
God this gets my blood pumping.
Epic!!! They show predator predator the cinema every now and then.....this scene blows your socks off
And moments like this is why we are respected prey to the Predators. :)
Everybody’s eardrums died that day
true. I thought i was the only one thinking that lmao
But their testosterone increased ten fold, I believe it evens out
That mini gun sound!
I love this movie because it made you feel sad about how mac really wanted to avenge his buddy and also showed you how hurt he was when he picked up his homies mini gun and try to panic fire because of fear and anger for his buddy not many military men would go out there way to expose positions if they weren't really war friends
One of the best scenes movies in history ! It was way ahead of it’s time! Still is!
Everything about this film is fucking awesome. What the fuck have they done to this series?
Well, at least the Hulu-exclusive prequel is awesome.
for some reason this is hilarious to me, they are shooting at absolutely nothing since the predator just dipped. also, the way he picks up the minigun after emptying the rifle is just so funny, like firing an RPG after throwing a hand grenade.
And they hit…nothing.
So nice of the Predator to film this and upload it to RUclips so the "Super Predators" learn to shoot the mini-gun rather than the guy holding it. Leads to less environmental destruction in the long run and they REALLY dont like it when you destroy their hunting grounds.
I love the raw, emotional fear and disgust displayed by the black dude. You don't see that enough in modern day movies.
He played Arnold's enemy in Commando, it was a poor fit.
Notice how they fell into Jim Hopper's position here. Firing in all directions. Then how Dutch gets the Predator to do the same when he nails him with that bow and arrow grenade round towards the end of the film. Predator couldn't track him with all that mud cover and starts shooting his shoulder arm in all directions.
2:15 The drop in quality between classic and modern Action films is so obvious.
I feel like this scene was just an excuse to blow shit up.
0:45
Those eyes there, they just disappeared.
Epic scene with the Predator's eyes flashing yellow when Mac comes upon its silvery silhouette. And how hardened military man Mac is so scared of what he's encountered that he continues to keep his hand on the mini-gun trigger looooong after all rounds have been spent.
Did you notice that Mac takes off his hat before picking up the minigun? The actor knew this scene was going to be rewatched over and over. Totally awesome.
In that amount of time, that M134 chaingun would have fired around 4000 rounds. Thats waaaaaaaaay more than a single person can carry. 😅
I believe a lot of them were setup to fire 1500 rounds per minute but capable of more. The ammo plus the battery you would have to carry to power the rotary motor make this scene impossible. It sure is great scene though.
How I feel while mowing my lawn.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Okay okay let's review
This scene is EPIC
That's one way to cut the grass
Man that gatling gun is the business. Great scene of this awesome movie. Hats off to producers
A very Good Picture!
i only just noticed that the barrel on Mack's MG was starting to turn red as he ran out of ammo, that's good attention to detail
I love that earlier in the movie Billy mentions that thte people in the helicopter were shooting in all directions. Meant the crew couldnt see what theyre shooting at onto this masterpiece of film making to happen
Best part of the movie! 80’s movies on another level!
Masterpiece
That's why they all died, they became deaf after this happy shooting session
This scene was badass!!!!
Awesome jungle clearing scene
JUST AS INCREDIBLE AS THE FIRST TIME I WATCHED THIS AS A KID AS IT IS NOW AS AN ADULT. ALL OVER CHILLS!!! LOVE THIS MOVIE
I like the fact that we just gloss over the lack of ear pro and the guaranteed deafness afterwards... like, for a LONG time lol
The minigun fired at its actual speed unlike Terminator 2.
Big boys and big guns
What an absolutely unreal scene 👏 I popped on some killer headphones and cranked it up so awesome even if all blanks and a movie super cool to see the weapons unload a few rounds
In a theater those explosions would have been pumping your chest like live fire.
0:16 Where my Bangalore mains at? 😂
Bill Duke's greatest moment in movie history, soooo good! The barrel's still spinning.
All these years later this scene is still an absolute classic.
Love the moment at the end where Mac stays on the trigger even though he’s out of ammo, because he’s the only one who saw what happened and what they’re dealing with.
Iv seen this masterpiece hundreds of times since I was a little kid an only just realised he shouts CONTACT wen he sees the eyes flash
Thank you, couldn’t make it out
Oh shit ur right. The sound of that Mini Gun going off is bad ass
I'mma have me some fun I'mma have me some fun
I dunno.....might b the greatest gun scene in history of cinema....when Mac picks up that minigun and let's rip....I'm fkn geekd
when you hear a twig break you just spray a dozen rounds into the jungle
Saaaaaaaaargeeeeeeent Adrenalinaaaaa !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The greatest display of landscaping equipment ever!
Possibly best gun blasting clip ever?
There is nothing more depressing than being a gun enthusiast and watching action movies. This movie will always be super badass but my god why can’t the directors take 5 minutes to learn how guns work? 😂
I’m lifting heavy weights right now watching this scene getting super hyped up!
SGT this is Mack, My brother loved this movie, he was just killed in action. He left me a Surplus of artillery for me if anything ever happened to him..In fact he called me Mack, all I could think of was Its payback time. Thank God his commando unit already payed them back..NO ONE GOT AWAY SGT
