After a 30 year hiatus your instructional videos have been an inspiration and have got me playing better than I ever did as a child. I picked up a Yamaha Pacifica a couple months ago and began playing again and just put an order in for a Fender Deluxe Player Strat two days ago because I've become completely addicted to playing due to your clear and entertaining videos. Thx very much Marty from an "old dog" who's learning new tricks.

I REALLY, REALLY need your lessons. I am 52 and I have been trying to learn for a few years now. These lessons will be just the thing to get me to where I NEED to be. Thanks for all you do to help those of us with a DREAM!!!

    Marty,
Every time I seem to hit a wall with my playing (almost a year and a half now) one of your videos always helps me break free of that. I play in a punk band, but only because my friends aren't into blues. Dan Auerbach inspired me to play guitar and you helped me learn where to start in playing my favorite style of music. Thank you.

I've been playing guitar for over 25-yrs. Marty and it's always refreshing to watch the wide variety of styles you seem comfortable in own your skin to teach - from Everly Brothers on a Martin acoustic to Buddy Guy on a a sweet American Std. Strat. Even old dogs like me can learn new tricks! Been a subscriber for 3-months now..

Heeyyyyyyyyy Marty! Well I have to say, you have improved my guitar playing 10 fold. I have only been playing for about 8 months and the feedback that I get from friends and family is astonishing. I owe it all to you. I have learned and progressed so much and I attribute most of that to your videos and lessons. Thank you so much for what you do! By the way, I am starting to learn guitar at 44 years old, I feel I am way behind and wish I had started a long time ago. Your lessons have really helped me make up for lost time. Thank you so much.

I'm from Scotland, I'm 16 and I've been playing for 2 years now and that's also how long I've been subscribed to this channel. You've helped me advance so much from beginner to some more advanced techniques. I would love to have a copy of the blues master class lessons as I love the blues and you teach blues well.

Now we're talkin'! Thanks Marty. I've watched a hundred various videos, some to learn specific songs, but this is a foundational lesson, somethng I can build on. Its very daunting to attempt to learn an SRV song but this approach gives me an understanding of what's behind or underlying what he might be playing. Keep teaching us to fish! (Although I'll still come and ask you for a fish sometimes.) Thanks.

    Hey, Martin.
Loved your lesson, as usual. It added a lot to my skills and also to my confidence. Now, there is some amount of string ringing in these takes, right? That worked to me as a stimulus to keep my practice. You know... If even you face some ringing from time to time and it still sounds nice, I don't get too sick when it happens in my playing too. :-)
    Thanks for your lessons.

This time last year I started playing guitar and couldnt play anything... now?
    Now I can play:-
    Scales A & E
5 positions in the Key of E (with blues notes)
5 positions in the Key of A (with blues notes)
Plus linking them together, up and down the fretboard and utilizing them to make MUSIC!
A huge catelogue of chords in my arsenal including all the land of A7 and chords of the blues (one chord etc) and their barre chord variants.. plus using them effectively for rhythm and mixing into riffs.
I can maintain and setup my guitar properly including intonation and action height adjustment.. (which I looked into after hearing Marty use the terminology)
I can play songs by BB King, Albert King, Eric Clapton, SRV, Allman Bros, CCR, Bob Marley and much more.
I tried to play guitar when I was 17 and pretty much gave up straight away until last year, I'm 27 now and I can't say enough how much Marty has influenced, tutored and more importantly inspired me to stick with it.. Playing the guitar is actually fun now, I've got past alot of the early frustrations that initially put me off and it's all thanks to the patience and sheer awesomeness of Marty.
Thanks Marty... I'm ready and waiting to learn more now :D
