The alien collaboration doesn’t really look like the sketch since she used a monster high doll instead of a shoppies doll
For a bun for dolls hair
I find this really easy if u try this method:
First grab the dolls hair that u want in the bun
Second pull it up
Third put a long pipe cleaner a little bit below the tips
Fourth roll it down
Then grab the two end of the pipe cleaner and tie them together
Cut off the excess pipe cleaner
And use the bun hair to hide the knot/tie of the hair

This is a great idea! I’ve always known this sort of thing as a sock bun or bun donut method on humans so a pipe cleaner would work perfectly!

I don't know if this will help, or if it's been suggested before, but I have bangs and I noticed my hairdresser trims them upward - pointing the scissors at the ceiling. I'm a cosplayer so I tried this on cosplay synthetic wigs and it works there too - I chop the bangs well below my nose and slowly work upward with the scissors pointing straight up. It might be worth trying? It helps me get a natural, fluffy fringe - not too blunt a cut and it helps hide any bits I got a bit scissor-happy on! Also I love this video, I think the Shoppies are so cute

This inspired me to redo a shopkins doll of my own from when I was a girl. It’s not a girl doll, so I don’t have to cut open my toys head, it’s one of the actual shopkins, a little pepermint ball. So much better now. :)

I know she'd probably want to make a gothic lolita or something, but I'd love to see an 80's "trad goth" inspired doll! That's the style I usually go for and I feel like it's an underappreciated/largely forgotten look that's really cool and much more in line with goth music and subculture than any of the new fashion-only styles these days.

it has been two flipping years.
You could glue hair around a small Styrofoam ball! Cut the bit of hair on the top of her head into a stump and coat it in glue so it becomes a solid base to glue the bun. There are tutorials out there for doing this for cosplay wigs, but there's no reason why it couldn't work for a doll!! This way you'd get that perfectly round little bun.
PitTheAmerican She mentioned that she might open the bun, so that isn’t the best option for her.

this was a super cute doll, but my favourite part of the video was definitely the slightly different editing style that you used (the zoom-ins/outs, and the intense narration). it was super funny, and i hope something you're able to incorporate into more of your videos! i'm wondering too if you have any ideas for a spookier, halloween-themed doll for this year? your banshee and wendigo dolls are probably my favourites that you've done, so i hope you're able to have the time to create another creepy, body-modified spooky gal :)
When you braided the hair it reminded it of me.
