I’ve been a hairstylist for 43 years and I am so happy to see the young hairdressers of today loving what they do. I love what I do too and more blessings to all of you for giving it your all. We didn’t have RUclips back in my day. Otherwise I’d be doing it to.
I am glad I am not the only one who didnt get toning after hair school, just beginning to understand this. great and very helpful information, learn quite a bit
So if you’re at a yellow, you use a shade in the purple arena to cancel, but then after that how do you make it the color you actually want?? And do you mix the purple shade toner in with the actual color that you want? Does that even make sense?
Question (hopefully not too silly!) - I see a lot of people on tiktok using formulas with a mix of different lift levels, for example 10GI, 10 VG, 9N. What is the purpose of mixing levels like this and what is the result on the hair? Thank you!
Very interesting! What it would turn out if I would put a 9GI toner over bleached hair which is a level 7 at the moment and is kinda orangish yellowish. I can t say I dislike how it looks like actually but I would like to tone it just for a try.
I understand most things about toning, where I get stuck is what level am I looking at? Because sometimes I think I'm looking at a level 7 and the stylist will say it's a level 8 or 9; or I might see my own hair as a level 4 and they tell me I'm a level 6. I struggle with that.
If I'm trying to be strawberry blonde but right now it's brassy orange yellow, how do I remove the brassiness but keep enough warmth for the strawberry blond?
So might be a dumb Q, but if I’m like a 5.5 or 6 brunette but I want to be a 7 blonde do I have to bleach my whole head to like an 8 in order to use the lvl 7N toner and get the results I want?
Awesome video could you please give me a formulation that you would think I could use my hair is a level 7 but has a muddy tent to it I have shades eq but I’m not a professional would love your advice Thank you
@@ReileyCollier Thank you I used to have a professional do my hair but with the pandemic and my health I can’t leave the house anymore please do a video with some formula s 😀
I know it’s hard but i just recommend waiting it out until you can! There’s a lot more to hair than people think (beyond just formulas) and professionals go to school for a reason! It’ll definitely be worth the wait.

It wouldn’t do anything since your hair is not a level 9.
Thank you for great info!! I wish I can come to u to color my hair 😊
I used 9p and 8 v with clear EQ gloss ., I also purchased the Redken processing .. my hair turned dark and looked gray.. is that normal?
The vs are pretty dark, I used 9p and a tiny dash of 9v tonight and worked well, also if you do it on dry hair will come out darker
Love this channel so much new subscriber I would love to see more of your videos and combinations of colors that you use thank you so much

How did you bleach your hair and what products? Do you tone your hair after washing the bleach while it's wet?
I recommend going to a professional :)
Just found your channel and I already love it 💕😘
Thank you so much!! Enjoy!

Yes!
Always lift to a level lighter than where you desire to be and then either tone down or tone on level
Super video !!!
Can I use 09V half and 09T half and add to eq gloss? Iam blond with a bit yellow tone in my hair
Thank you
If you’re a level 9 then sure!!
@@ReileyCollier thank you for the quick answer

If I only use the platinum 09V have I darker results ?
I have 9n 9v and 9 p I also have clear would those 3 work together? I'm a level 9 and just don't want any warmth

Hear me out. What if I need to kick out pink that originated from a VB? I am caught between a yellow base and a green base.

Not exactly explaining how to tone… before/after shampoo, how long to hold etc.
