I actually like the tension between the cool white and the warm white, especially with the sandwich effect with the warm shoes. I would add a neutral handbag and be happy with my outfit.
I also wear bright white jeans with a cream or off white sweater. I always get a lot of compliments when I wear this. White sneakers in the summer and light tan brown flats in the fall/winter. I’m in southern CA so I can wear this into the winter with a light brown suede jacket for the evenings.
As an artist/art teacher/color theorist, I totally agree with you. Years ago a wonderful teacher taught me to add a touch of cool color into a predominant field of warm color and vice versa for more dynamic coloration and pop. You are doing the same here by adding a touch of cool to your warm white outfit. Bravo!
Black can work excellently with other dark colors if they are not dull, meaning tones/ashy. If they are clean and deep, they can add dimension to black.
Ellena could you do a video on whether a white (any temperature/cold or warm) monochromatic look suits brunettes? I'm a brunette and have yet to master the courage to wear this combo 😊 I always think that my hair colour looks too "harsh" against the all whites. I am also quite pale. I love all whites on blondes, but I can't seem to make it work for me. Perhaps a video on hair and complexion and whether they matter and what to do to make certain colours work for you. Love your advice about matching color value (degree of lightness). Maybe it’s a throwback to the color blocking trend 10ish years ago but I will leave it behind and implement your tip immediately! Also loved the way you used the pops of bright colors with the brown pants and scarf. Honestly, many fashion editors need to take lessons from you because they GUSH over the color pairing “don’ts”especially if worn by a celebrity. Your combos are so much more cohesive and flattering.

I’ll have to get those LS trousers in black, I have the white and navy already, it was expensive to have them shortened, though - $65 US (I had the cuffs removed, too, they’re visually shortening). Come on Lily Silk, give us petite lengths! Since I spend most of my wardrobe budget on your clothes, it would be much appreciated! The color trend I’m excited about for spring is that very pale pink, I hope I can find nice, natural-fiber pieces in some cool-toned versions of it, to work with my cool coloring. Last time they were around, as “blush”, they were much too peachy (orangey) and didn’t work for me. I think the biggest factor was the better pairing of similarly undertoned whites. The whites on their own could stand alone, tho could use a focal point w an accessory, hence the scarf. The bag tied more in w the scarf. Minus the bag u lose some complexity, but u still have the scarf. Minus the scarf u lose more complexity, but if u don't like scarves, a necklace w the right visual weight would work. Or just be fine w the whites.

Why didn’t you wear what you bought was it too big or too small ,you can send them back. They’ve got a great return policy. Maybe you just don’t know how to put them together with your other wardrobe? I guess it depends on what you bought. I , many many ,things from them and I’ve always been happy. The only thing I had happened was the silk pajama set was a medium and it felt like a small .I sent it back

@nicolajilal6868 Actually, it'll expand your wardrobe because they're all interchangeable. You can use complimentary warm tones as accents. Just don't wear them near your face.
Love your videos 🎉 but just because gray is a “neutral” color does not mean it looks harmonious on everyone. I am a light Spring and light and dark gray look Horrid on me. I clearly have warm undertones in my skin. I don’t wear silver, black or gray and I don’t miss them at all in my wardrobe.
I think what I am Missing in your color wisdom is at least a nod to color seasons. Black as you shared in this video is not even a very good color for autumn and spring color seasons. Even when it is not near our faces. It’s just. It even in our vocabulary.
