Unbeknownst to me at the time, I once saw Sam on the links at Valley Ridge in Calgary, AB. He had grown his beard out at the time filming for Black Snake Moan (I believe) so I didn't recognize him. We waved at each other as he rounded a corner in his golf cart. His focusing on the friendly wave resulted in his inattention to the fact that he had cut the corner a little too sharply and slammed the side of the cart into a large boulder, causing a loud bang and jolting of the cart. Him, his golf partner, and I simultaneously burst out laughing... Later on in the day there was a buzz among the club house, I inquired as to why, well of course Samuel L. Jackson is playing here today they proclaimed! It became one of the most randomly memorable moments of my life!
I started golfing about 3 months ago, needless to say I am hooked. So naturally I take to youtube to research a little bit. I stumbled across EAL and have watched nothing but his channel since, and quite frankly I dont understand how he doesnt have more followers. IMO the best golf channel on youtube, and he isnt even at 100k. Keep up the good work sir.
What an in-depth look into Sam Jackson's personal life. The interviewer and interviewee both connecting on such a passionate level of understanding. Just talking about a game they both truly love. This is one of the better videos I've seen on youtube in the past year or so, AND its from a Golf youtube channel I have never seen before. I don't even play golf! I've watch 5 or 6 videos of theirs now and I'm hooked. Who has a cheap set of clubs for a 5'9" short man?
Golf is great Men, women, beginners, and experts can play together and compete Averages Joes can get paired-up with executives Every course is different Its the perfect hobby to pair with travel And you can do it for your entire lifetime
Wow, your channel just keeps getting better and better somehow. I have thought several times through watching that «nothing can top this», but you’re doing it. Samuel has a great mind, seems like a thinker.
Erik you and your team are amazing. I watch every video and it does something to me, it connects with me, it touches me in a way that emotionally it over comes me. Either through the story or through the emotion of the person you are talking to. I can never thank you enough for the content you produce. much love. J
That was probably one of the best interviews I ever watch the realism to see one of the most Loudest and honest person to talk about the simplicity of golf for all of us to see were not perfect..... Good shit I'ma sub and like bro...
Excellent interview. Given Jackson's love of the game for the game itself, hearing his personal insights, makes this discussion interesting. Nice job EAL. Cheers, TH
Smart interview. You pick up on a number of Jackson's techniques, attitudes. Very enlightening, and helps to see how smart the guy is - those performances don't come out of nowhere.
My father played golf with Samuel Jackson roughly 20 years ago while he was filming Rules of Engagement on Fripp island...was so cool to see him talk about golf
Couldn't agree more with Sam. With all of that. Golf appeals to me because I'm not really the competitive type and I enjoy activites that allow me to test myself against myself. People who have never played golf have no idea of how hard it actually is. The pros make it look easy, but it is anything but - not even for them. They're just consistently better at it than the rest of us.
Once again the best golf channel on RUclips! You deserve so many more subscribers, you make me wanna buy a camera and a MacBook and start my own channel!
Great interview with a very interesting human being. Talking about the game I love... Wow this man has exactly the same mentality and outlook of golf as I do. It truly is the hardest and greatest game that I have ever played.
Golf is.... the hardest game I've ever played. Haha yes sir, nothing short of amazing here and very well said Sam! I agree with every detail of what this man said.
Once again, Erik delivers great golf content! Thank you! Not sure if it was a marketing decision or not, but I had to do a double take when I read 'Sam Jackson'. I think most people are used to hearing him called Samuel Jackson or Samuel L. Jackson. Not sure if RUclips allows it, but you may consider changing the title of the video. May draw in more viewers.
Wow - that was impressive ... Mr Jackson is an impressive person and your team is impressive in the way you were able to capture it. Hardest game I've ever played!!!
Love this! No bullshit questions about career success yada yada. You may be famous... but we don’t give a shit about your fame.... let’s talk about your golf game. I can respect that! Seriously... when has anyone ever seen Sam. Talk about anything over 2 minutes not relating to a role with a lightsaber or character he’s playing? No one has done it... Erik...You da shit!
Bad Shot's, are taught in the (Now) on the LPGA Tour. Sam, is right, let the bad shot or shots go & stay in the (Now) during your rounds. DER P.S. FACE - How Low Can You Go?
It's definitely not as easy as he made it sound. A golf ball is stationary. Anybody can hit a ball like that a long distance. When someone is throwing a ball at you upwards of 100 mph, good luck hitting that out.
This man is 70 years old. One of the greatest things about golf is that I've got my entire life to play it.
this guy looks at least 15 years younger
@@klamsauce233brotha have you not heard of Samuel L Jackson😂
One of the best golf interviews I have ever seen. From anyone. Bravo!
Kris Halsrud this
Dear Erik,
Thanks for staying out of the way in this interview.
MrRmfd 100!

My dad actually saw Sam golfing once! Him and his friends were staring at him, and he just yelled, “What’s everybody looking at?”
GREAT STORY
Damn Erik. Great videos on the course. Great interviews off the course. You will go a long way if you and your crew keep up this excellent content!

Thank you good sir!

Well done to everyone involved. I've been playing the game all my life and never heard better words to describe it. Thank you for that
Best interview I've watched in a while. Great work, Erik!
The path of the righteous golfer, simply perfection, a joy to watch and of course with SLJ, to hear. Thanks!
Brilliant vid, love hearing Samuel talk about golf. I can definitely relate and learn from lots of the things he said.
Amazing interview. I could listen to Sam talk golf philosophy all day. Thanks
The only thing wrong with this interview is that it’s not thirty minutes longer, lol. Could listen to you two talk golf all day!
This is one of the best videos I have seen my whole life. Who knew I needed Sam Jackson to talk about golf..

How stoked you must have been for that interview

2 of the coolest men in golf. Great interview love all your content. Inspirational.

Wow great interview. Can’t wait for this film to show itself in all of its glory to the world.
One of the best golf interviews I have ever seen!!
Love the observation about Tiger: looking to create legacy recovery shots in response to bad ones.
Wow, this video is just amazing. Extremely eye opening.
Excellent interview. Given Jackson's love of the game for the game itself, hearing his personal insights, makes this discussion interesting. Nice job EAL. Cheers, TH

"The path of the righteous man is to not play against the people you are playing with". Sooooo true.
Couldn't agree more with Sam. With all of that. Golf appeals to me because I'm not really the competitive type and I enjoy activites that allow me to test myself against myself.

The Philosophy of Zen Golf & How to Kick Your Buddies Arse, by Samuel L Jackson & Erik Anders Lang!
This deserves at least 3 Oscars!
Awesome interview Erik. The way he describes golf is beautiful. Forget the bad shots!!!
Golf is.... the hardest game I've ever played. Haha yes sir, nothing short of amazing here and very well said Sam! I agree with every detail of what this man said.
That’s the best analogy of what makes tiger to greatest I’ve ever heard. Amazing video Erik!

What a legend, great philosophy about how to approach the game. Samuel L Jackson came across well too.
This is so sweet. Best one yet.
Great vid! Always love Samuel L. Jackson :-) But Erik, finish "Be The Ball"!! I really want to see it!
Loved this interview. I knew he played but loved seeing this side of him.
Good interview, love the question about the path of the righteous man. Great content from your trip to Scotland, makes me want to go.
Wow - that was impressive ... Mr Jackson is an impressive person and your team is impressive in the way you were able to capture it. Hardest game I've ever played!!!

Erick you are the best interviewer ever!

Great interview with the legend SLJ.
Sam Jackson is a hardcore golfer - he did a speech in Florida about it and he seemed like he was in heaven. Amen.

Literally watch this video before every round. Gets me so fucking hyped
Great interview of a man, who really understands the game.

I didn’t know he played. He’s got s great attitude towards the game 🏌️♂️
