as a total lab convert currently gaming the df, every one who wants to putt better should get one. took me almost two months to really be able to groove, but putting is now my favorite part of the game
I agree 100% on this video. I had a Scotty Cameron Newport 2.5 and had been struggling with opening my face and missing putts by just inches. (So Frustrating) so I did some research and LAB just kept coming up in my research. So I decided to check them out. Unfortunately for me the closest place to try one was a 4 hour drive. I drove it, I tried the LAB Putters and immediately seen there’s something special about the technology in them, I was making putts. I tried all the models and decided the Mezz Max was the fit for me. I bought it and have been super pleased with the outcome. I’ve made many many more putts and those dreaded 3 foot putts just fall in. I have much more confidence in the fact that I will make putts which really helps the ball go in the hole! Definitely recommend checking these out and shoot lower score. Great review.
I love how the controversy is, "it looks weird", without taking the technology or actual personal testing into account. I love modern technology that can help you become a better golfer and most of us need that. I'm determined to win this after seeing you putt lights out vs Grant, and if I don't, I definitely need to find one to try out.
Putting being made easier is absolutely the quickest way to make golf fun again. I realized it when I went side saddle. Changed my entire outlook on the game.
I have had one of these for a couple years and I find my putting improved drastically. I used to have issues with heel & toe strikes. With this putter, I never have that problem anymore!! Highly recommended!!!
The putting in the video with Grant was brilliant and hopefully your putting continues to improve going forward. On the question of worth it? its like anything we buy its all relative for most people probably not, but if you can afford it then why not, as golfers we do spend £500 on drivers or get it second hand. Personally I think there is a mental block spending the same money on a putter, even when the putter is far more important to our game than the driver. Our score can be made or broken by how we putt more so than how we hit a driver. Personally I swapped from a blade putter to a mallet a year or two ago and I am a lot more confident with it. My issue with a mallet style is the look, and the look of a putter plays a major part in putting as you need to be confident standing over it, and sometimes the larger designs can be more off putting it. Finally apologies for the long rant, but interesting watch and looking forward to seeing who wins and how they find the putter.

I try out this putter every time I walk into the PGA superstore.. I just wasn't sure how it would carry over to the actual course. But after watching your match against Grant.. the confidence it gave you was definitely showing. I have the MEZZ.1... I love it. Over the putt I feel I can start it on my line everytime. I just need to concentrate on dialling in the other two parts the read and the speed.
20+ yrs ago, my putting was the worst. I couldn't read a line well, couldn't roll a ball end over end if my life depended on it. And my scores reflected it. A bad back injury / surgery kept me from swinging a club for a few months and during that time I decided i was making a change. So for three months, i learned all i could about putting and I putted with everything out there i could find to help me roll the ball better and on my intended line. I ended up with an Odyssey 2-Ball. They were new at the time. Took a while to get over the looks, but the RESULTS couldn't be argued with. I used that putter for a lot of years. The putter that followed was used for a lot of years. Those two putters weren't 'lookers' but they sure were players. Find what works for you and use it. And if you cast aside what works for ooh's and aaah's, you're giving away strokes. And in the end, rolling in the putts one after another after another is what impresses anyways.

I have one of these. Since owning it, my putting stats have been brilliant. Although it’s a lot of money, it’s better value than paying lots of money for a driver. I am anticipating my handicap to fall this year as my putting gets better.

Putting with a LAB putter is different than anything I'd ever had before. The feel is just so stable and solid but soft at the same time, almost like it's rubber mounted, which may be due to it being the first putter I've had with a graphite shaft. I love my Mezz1 AR.

Great review. It's not the putter that makes the difference, it's how you feel about that putter. All putters take at least a year to understand, I see way too many people spending way too much on putters, and drivers thinking it's not them, it's the club that's keeping me from hitting the pro circuit. Trust me bro, it's you that's the problem, not the putter or driver.
I have a LAB Mezz putter and I may get hell on the course for how it looks but it has completely changed my putting and done wonders for me score wise.
Totally LOVE my LAB Mezz 1 Max Armlock. It’s changed my putting. I am totally sold on their tech. Now that I’ve been using the armlock I kinda want to try the non armlock version too 😁 Heck I may even give the DF 2.1 a go too!

Can't putt with anything else now. Love the torque free stability. Have won well over $1,000 off my golfing buddies since getting the LAB Directed Force. People laugh at the looks until they start seeing the putts drop. The new Mezz and Link.1 designs are fantastic too.
Invest in a putter - the most hit (stroked) club in the bag every round. Get fitted. Lie angle very important for one's setup and stroke. May need to improve either or both. Practice. Fall in love with putting ........ o ____ ! Most will have 28-38 putts per round - 100% or more than the driver, maybe 14 times per round. Many shell out $300-$500 every year or so for a new driver.
I’m intrigued. Grip maybe just as different as putter head. Length is typically what I use. Would love to have putter and make as many putts as you. You gotta get another for you.
The putters feel phenomenal with the lie angle balance technology. Working at PGA we have plenty of customers who end up purchasing it. Putting is all mental, and many customers State while they loved the feel, they couldn’t get over the look 👀 However I personally love all the styles they offer. Adam Scott is a great rep as well.
It’s a hard putter to just kind of show up and test for a few minutes and get over some of the differences because either it feels so different to everything else or it’s looks. I definitely believe you get over the looks after a couple days or weeks but you gotta get past that “first date”.

Wow, I have struggles with putting for some time. Played golf last weekend and I got paired up with three other guys. One had a LAB putter. Long story short he let me use it and I did want to give it back. 😅
Have one love it if you get your line right it goes in...... I use it from around the greens as well, given you weight it up as a mallet. Mind was fully custom fitted, i consider it an investment. Only downsides, is its size, which is a pain in the bag and you need to make a subtle lift when taking it back or you can snag it on the ground in the backswing. Awesome choice for those interested, don't remember it costing me $1000 all the same.
Your putting was amazing in the last course vlog. I am considering getting one. I dont like mallets so it would be a big adjustment but if it works then I could definitely game it.

I’ve had mine for one year. I get crap for the looks but love the results. DF 2.1 red, three lines, 35 inch, (upright) 75 degrees.
Another hell of a video, the putter has a crazy look to it, definately something I would replace my 30 year old hand me down putter with!

you use a driver 14 times a round, you putt 37-35 times, twice as much. It's absolutely worth it. I play with a LAB too.
