Today, we're going to talk about something SUPER important: How + Where to Find Auditions! I'm going to share my top 3 ways to find auditions, including some super sneaky tips and tricks on how to find secret auditions! Plus, this video is great for all experience levels--beginners, hobbyists, students, and professionals! Finding auditions can seem totally overwhelming for acting newbies (and it might seem like there aren't enough auditions for the seasoned performers!).

That’s nice, but shouldn’t be the only reason why you want to be an actor/actress. It’s not easy. It can be both mentally and physically draining to the point where some just break. I hope you consider that before launching yourself into it, because trust me you’re going to have to sacrifice a LOT to try and make it.

Idk if people understand how hard it is to be on stranger things you need to do lots of stunts and act out the part lots of acting classes and who knows how long that takes, so it’s really hard.

I told one of my friends that I want to be an actress and one of my friends was like "Heh, Your probably only going to be in the background and not even one of the main characters! And if you do, well IM SURPRISED!" I lost the confidence I had, about becoming a actress.. My other friends were VERYYYY supportive we kicked her out of the group and Now my Confidence finally came back!

Katherine Steele I am actually really struggling with making up my mind what to do after school. I graduate next year and I know that my passion is acting, but the save thing to do is become a teacher. So my long time plan was to study teaching English and math or art and then start studying acting and do both half time but I really don't know if I'm going to stick to that plan once I finish Uni for the first time and then going back to studying once more. Uhhhh, figuring your life out is hard

For me it's school, school, and school. My school has two shows per year. 1 play and 1 musical. Then they advertise for the town show as many of the same directors help out with it. I'm auditioning for the town play today(when this was posted). It's Bye Bye Birdie.

I have actually just had my very first audition for the London based prestigious "National Youth Theatre" to hopefully be accepted onto their month long Summer acting program and then become a full fledged Company member and be able to audition within it and get acquainted with agents and casting directors.
Having never auditioned before in my life or having any actual formal training, the audition went well and got some good feedback so here's hoping I get in!

@@vainasdominicanas1682 true sport talent is way different than movie talent. If you're good at sports and naturally athletic, then you don't need to even know the language properly. But in LA, there are so many people who are trying to get an audition. It's just not worth it to deliberately dodge these people.

+Katie Mcdermott Personally, I haven't encountered any. But, I'd recommend doing your fair share of research before submitting to projects (ie. researching the theatre company, researching the film company, etc.)

get lots of training (voice lessons, acting lessons) and keep trying to audition for shows if there are any near you. If you want to move to Los Angeles make sure you have money becuase it's pretty expensive to live there. good luck!! :)

Even me that I'm a Handicap Actor in Miami was Casted for a Small Scene that is call the End of the World. I used Backstage it work darm well for me. I also have gone to allot of Auditions here in the Miami area. Yep Backstage work Pretty well for sure . now I'm going to try what you also recommend on your video Contacting local Colleges and University they should also have a role out there for me to. I want to do Nickelodeon,KidsBopz or Disney channel but they ask for your “state” but I don’t live in the USA I live in Canada and Canada doesn’t exactly have the best or intresting Casting calls or Auditions
