    One and three eighths, could be a Welch plug, from a motor. Warren thanks very much for the informative chat on the Apex. I’ve seen quite a few detector videos, who have tested the Apex, but none have gone into the depths that you have.

    An interesting and informative video Warren, I can imagine its very useful to detectorists who use or are interested in the Apex machine, I have realised over the years I have been watching detecting videos that they are evolving each year and though to me they seem very complicated I am beginning to understand how they work and the ways in which they differ. The US fork was a great find for Colleen, especially as it was her first, well done sweetheart. I liked the old coins too, the coins of my childhood will always be special to me in fact my memory is not so good now but I still understand the old currency lol. The coke bottle is a lovely find, it came a long way to end up in the Australian bush, a shame the top had disappeared. I have heard the sound that was noticeable before in Australia though I know what makes it I can't spell it lol, an insect I believe beginning with a C . Time for my dinner so cheerio my friends, take care and stay safe please, God bless you both love and hugs Mary-Ellen UK

    Do you use the pin point mode on the apex? Or do you find it useless.

    • @NQExplorers
      @NQExplorers  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching Mark, no we don't actually use the Pinpoint function on any of our detectors - just as easy to do a 'DD wiggle' then use the Propointer. Constant use of the Pinpoint function will tend to drain the battery quicker too on any machine. Cheers mate and Happy Fossicking! Warren.

    Great review - thanks. Question in reference to the charging port, I hear through the grapevine that some APEX owners have been successful at adding a permanent small magnetic charging lead to the port that is left on all the time and fits under the cover for magnetic charging. We all know how ports can get discombobulated over time - your thoughts.

    • @NQExplorers
      @NQExplorers  Год назад

      No problem with the charging port itself - we have had to replace the small rubber cover which took some damage at some point. Happy Fossicking! Warren.

    Strewth! Warren was so convincing that I nearly went out and bought one. I then realized that my wheely walker would interfere with it. bugger! The males Warren look after the nest. They get a reward for doing so. Why didn't you show your viewers the work they do? Well said about the pinpointer. I don't see the point of a long-range pinpointer.

    • @NQExplorers

    My partner and I just bought a 17th century house with a lot of history (used to be an inn) and looking to sweep the gardens with a detector before doing some landscaping - this detector might be overkill for that. What do you suggest?
