Very good info. Clarified for me just what using iron audio does thanks. My last good target was masked by iron but I dug it and it was a half dollar. Didn't sound good at all, just enough. I have always hunted in zero-zero , learned it from you! Thanks and happy hunting.

I never use discrimination either. I learned my lesson when I thought I had gotten all the good stuff out of an old homesite. I decided to go back and I thought I had my discrimination on , but luckily I didn’t and I pulled out a Mercury Dime! Haven’t used discrimination since and I’m still occasionally pulling good stuff out of that site!

I am an experienced metal hunter. I want to try out the garret. Would you buy the apex or the or the at max?

Would you run an Ace 300 the same way. Looking to help me use my detector better.

Hi Andrew! Yes, I would run it in Zero mode. You will dig more trash, but you will find more good targets too. Happy Hunting! ~ Gypsy
