The item just under the red ring in the wrap-up looks like a catch for a latch as on an old cabinet door or screen door. Just a thought. Really have enjoyed the comparisons. Thanks for providing them.
I had to buy myself a small roll of 3m scotchlite reflective adhesive to mark my hand digger cause I always was losing it. Worst case if I couldn't find it I'd go back at dark and when flashlight hits it it lights up like a deer eye
Good idea. I was considering attaching those wifi tags that go on a key ring to locate my smaller detecting tools when I inevitably wander off away from them.
I know, but I fear, but I know- despite how strongly I will try to avoid it- that an atomic pint of ice cream will flash n my mind the first silver coin that I find in this hobby. Thx Merrill.
the little tothed thingy is a clamp style fastener for suspenders. like YOU wore when you were little. also, if its older, it might be for an old fashioned garter belt that held up old style stockings.
What's up Merrill? Nice video buddy I'm just here leaving a comment as I always to to help the algorithms spread word of your channel! The growth has been great
if you you turn iron audio on run up to 30 and as you pass and come into will give an iron grunt and you wont have to dig not one cap with the apex but you have to have some iron in place and ran up
Hey Merrill on the gold Kruzer when I use the eud it seems to work properly for the first three swings over the target then it seems to track the target out maybe it just doesn’t function the way I think or I’m confused or misunderstood how to use the machine other then that single aspect it’s been fun to use and mess with the setting and modes I thought I would be intimidated and get lost in the settings but other then the eud confusion it’s been a blast now one thing about the super high khz machines depth monsters they are not lol I have found some nice musket balls and such at a decent depth but with the smaller football coil your just not gonna reach though deeper coppers and silvers
Hey Merrill I messed around with the eud on the kruzer today and I found that ground balance after activating eud seems to be the correct procedure and it seems to function how I thought it should
Nice video if you don't mind if you see Adele say hello to her for me You mentioned metal detecting spirits I've been dowsing for coins in the last couple of months a whole new game You actually have to see it to believe it . l hope you reach all your goals this year I'm rooting for you happy hunting . Denis
Apex has its quirks. Its great in a clean park as any detector should be. I just pulled the trigger on another detector. I’m taking some out of my trunk! I have to! lol

The most entertaining and professional detectorist on the net.
34:05 and 34:50 i believe go together and constitute a door latch probably from the early 1900's.

The box thing on the square metal plate is likely a lock for an old two-door cabinet. Often find these on mid-19th century desks.

Your lid that opens and closes, looks like from an old fashion fondue to extinguish the flame when heating up oil.
26:35 water faucet mechanism, coming from a former plumber...
